I like both and know more famous songs of both. Blur seems more experimental and you have to listen to some songs more than once to really grow on you, which makes them more special to me. I also like the lyrics a lot and their attitude. Also listened to some Gorillaz for years but didn't know until recently it was Damon so it made Blur grow in my eyes even more. On the other hand, lately there are all those posts about Noel and Liam fighting, which I can't take seriously but more as a childish thing, since I know they can be stuck up. Anyway, I won't let their behaviour make me like their songs less and I'm eager to discover more of both bands' songs
The more I learn about this band the more I realize that they were just the British equivalent of Weezer
