I Quit Sugar for 30 Days (never again)
I quit sugar for 30 days. And it was a roller coaster.
Yes, I lost weight, I discovered sugar free desserts, but I also went through such an unexpected emotional journey, that it actually reminded me of a familiar period in my life. Let's just say there's a reason mindful eating now plays a big role in my life.
Overall, this sugar challenge was an exciting test for me and I am truly grateful for the journey!

2:25. I don't compete or compare. Im my own person and happy with who i am. My mother was a competitive comparer and it was fookn cringe AF. It can make a whole room uncomfortable and stop having fun. All because ms insecure is "acting out" over something as lame as someone's "appearance is affecting them." That is psychotic. Got no time for such embarrassments and those that enable such nutty women.

I remember this guy I was dating was belittling me because I was being vulnerable with him about one of my past relationships and the joy he made me feel because he would make me laugh alot. The guy I was dating said I was very immature and not on "his level" for a real relationship. I was so hurt. Here I am, watching ur video, and the 1st thing u both mention is HUMOUR. look at that. Life has so many hurdles: it's better to laugh together than to be sad BECAUSE of each other. I will continue to trust Creator for my man.

Realising the difference between a friend and an acquiantance is quite important. For years, I tried to people please everyone, and in many respects, I still do. Im polite and kind, always. But after a while, you start to realise that some of your friends are just friends of circumstance, friends at the gym, friends at work....they are friends in that context, but change location, and they wont transition with you. A true friend is a friend no matter what the setting. No matter what the time span. As Ive gotten older, I now realise that lots of people who I thought were friends have come and gone in my life. And I realise, a lot, I dont miss. As for living with cats....YES! So would I :-D

Some times confirmation bias gets in the way too. Some people have a really bad experience with a certain type of person, and they mistrust everyone like that. Some people hate men, some hate women. Some hate black, some hate white, and until proven otherwise they might dislike you. Maybe that could fall under intimidation. Hate is weird, some people have a lot, others have a little. The people that have little hate can’t fathom how much hatred someone who’s truly evil has.

ADHD LOL!! The pursuit of the goal or the journey, cannot be miserable for too long. Some obstacles are too big or painful to endure alone. That's why we need community and love...without which there really is no such thing as success or achieving anything (unless its that PSYCHO!!). We are a lot the same..OH NO not me and the psycho! When sugar (or any denied food) is restricted, the body/brain will "overeat" it when it becomes available. This is science. This is lizard brain. This is not binging or cheating or even "unhealthy." If you find yourself in a binge/restrict cycle, this is your body sending you a message. All foods are allowed.. All foods are good. Foods don't have morals.

Thank you! ❤️ I truly measure everything by eye, but it is; Approx 2 bananas, 3 huge tbsp of 100% peanut butter, A dash of baking soda, A little bit of flour, And lastly some 100% dark chocolate pieces. Then I bake at 190-200 Celsius in the oven for about 15min. Again, I never record the time, so just make sure to check the cookies often :)

Rewriting my own comment as I reflected : it’s truly all about the balance and not guilting yourself like you shared. Part of the reason I fell in love with meal planning and prep was because it allowed me to budget and plan for the foods I actually enjoy eating and not just grabbing whatever was the cheapest and first thing I saw. We gotta love on our bodies and let them enjoy things.

Conclusion Embarking on a weight loss journey involves more than just physical changes; it requires a mental shift as well. By adopting these four mental health habits-detaching moral value from food, refraining from using food as a reward or punishment, viewing food as fuel, and healing emotional wounds-you can create a healthier mindset that supports your weight loss goals. Remember, any health journey is a process, and being kind to yourself along the way is crucial. With the right mental habits in place, the physical aspects of weight loss will become much more manageable.
