As gamers many us have grown up engrossed in the Warhammer universe and laterly historic wargaming. However, we always felt most rules never quite scratched the itch we wanted from a wargame. It was hard to scale up or down without taking days to play, and not the eas...

Are you northern Irish?
I feel like this is very similar to spru goo, in terms of useage/curing etc? Great video, thank you!
Thanks! I bought this set years ago.. just got it out of the box.. perry’s are easy the best IMO, but I find the plastic is borderline too brittle which is great for clean precise models but over time pieces tend to break easy..
Very nice job
Never thought of foil! Splendid
Can this be tooled like greenstuff can?
Nope
Your figure looks one color, i can't distinguish between the red triads? Also why do you have Hebrew writing on your arm? That's like white people getting Chinese characters who don't speak Chinese. It probably says "I want two egg rolls with hot sauce" but the Chin tells you it says "Spirit of the Tiger" The sad thing is Israel wouldn't even grant you a citizenship if you applied but you go rocking their alphabet and don't tell me you're Israeli.
Wow! They just posted some updates about The Old World😅 on Warhammer Community
It's 21st of July 2021 and we know nothing more. Anyone can rush GW little bit??? 😅
Awesome, I am American but three of my 4 grandparents immigrated from Scotland and I love Scottish history especially military. I've painted all the highland regiments from the Napoleonic wars and I just came to a screeching halt trying to do the tartans and the socks and it's hard to find that info here so thank you for that!
Elite heavy cavalry with big horses... seems like a good idea.
Vive l'Empereur ! Quand même ! 🇨🇵
Have used Foundry and I love them.
Great comparison video. Looking at the examples, it looks as though some of the whites are a bit chalky (often a problem). The Vallejo white looks like it maybe went on the smoothest. Is that true, how is the white in the Foundry range? Would also be interested to hear how their yellow is, because that's another color the tis difficult to work with.
Why not whack a bit of blue tack on his bum to make him stay in the saddle . I file a whole lot more seams with needle files and wet/rub to smooth out mold lines . My diags I used to use on copper phone lines so they have great sprue chopping time . And a K5 excel knife
Good video, I love the foundry paint system. Just to add they airbrush really well too. I hate the pots though, clogging up at the back, some of the lids on mine break and my biggest bug bear are those stupid stickers on top of the lid which come off easy. Coat D Arms triads are comparable and slightly cheaper so I will be replenishing my paints with a few of these.
We still need to wait a few years... but hopefully it is worth waiting 😊 My old High Elves are waiting to join the Old World. 🤟
I can never get that contrast white to work lol
Great review mate .That’s why I bought them but one thing .Did your mate paint the lace on the police jacket yellow or gold on the private’s jacket .
They need multiple ways to enter the game like in 6th - IE Skirmish, Warbands, Border Patrol, growth campaigns. Basically ways to encourage new players in that isn't 2K points. And boxes that actually have the appropriate number of models (again like 6th). Else it'll just be a failure like 8th again.
Ach flip, gutted I missed this. On my to watch list for tomorrow. This series is really stoking the fire, Paul. I've order TK variants, Armies of the Sands, in preparation. Now, if GW don't include TK, well, I can't be held accountable for my actions.
Im like a kid at Christmas at the thought of new model ranges!! Haha! Ill be sure to advertise the next episode in advance!
Used to love the Airfix models when I was a kid. I liked the really tiny ones . I think they were 1/76 . There were up to 40 pieces per box. Used to paint them.up as well. Really enjoyed the video . Thanks for posting
When buying games for total war the majority buy digitally from Steam as there is Steam workshop , how would you entice them with miniatures through that ?
41:53 is literally me ngl you’re making me want to buy this .
Always nice to see a new Total War
great vid guys
Enjoyed your vid on triads.. thanks.
I was a bit disappointed. I bought the Dark Age bundle and found them very thin - thinner than many of the paints used in the video - but they were different colors apart from the flesh. Also, the differences in the shade were very small - hardly noticeable when the figure was finished. Maybe I'll have another try, having seen this video.
put one or so mixing balls inside and shake them for quite a while 1-2 mins. then try again. mixing them fully this way usually sorts them out - let me know if that worked
Great listen guys thank you
That was really well explained and demonstrated, thanks for that!
Is there alternative horses that could be used or is not worth buying extra.
I think that's very good with the plastic putty from Vallejo, it helps me to fix certain depressions, holes etc. in the 1:16 figures of Dragon, Trumpeter and Tamiy models without much problems! . And very helpful in making welds, with the 1:16 RC models from Heng Long, without working great with filler, with the plastic putty (Vallejo) you can also make coarse cast steel structures by diluting it with a little water. Simply put, perfect for every model maker, buy it, it will be helpful for your projects ... 👍👍👍👍👍👌
Very nice really enjoyed the battle report, have subscribed, all the best Garry
Chain time , i really think its best out there....Well done Buddy.
I’d get some close up shots as well, it always seems more epic when you can see it from the model’s perspective. Great vid though, I’d think about clearer audio and some different camera angles. Great stuff though 👍🏻
Thanks man! Weve invested in some lapel mics and will definitely have a think about different angles. Much appreciated feedback! :)
Hey Paul! As this is your first attempt, would you like some constructive feedback on the technical stuff? (Only 33 mins into the video now)
Absolutely that would be fantastic. Adjustments ive made already (based on my limited tech know how): Adjusted camera to 1080p/24fps Changed auto sound mode which caused the audio to drop EV and light settings played with. Twitch upload bitrate was set way to low. Any other advice is more than welcomed and appreciated :)
@@bastiongamesminiaturegaming I only really have two things that I think could provide significant improvement to the viewer experience: Sound: There is a lot of room echo - i.e. you are playing in a room with lots of flat hard surfaces, and the microphone is on the camera I guess? It makes your voices lack clarity. If you want to use a single microphone, I think you could benefit a lot from doing some sort of soundproofing in the room. If you want to go all out, studio-style, lapelle mics are the way to go, but that is way more of a commitment technically and financially. Lights: You can never have enough lights. You had most of the light to the right of the board, and it casts some shadows and makes the left side of the board hard to read on camera. I am sure it feels very well lit to you, but it still appears a little dull on screen. So the things you can do immediately without costs are: - add some sort of soundproofing to the room. Hang up some blankets on the walls, use anything that absorbs sound. (clothes, pillows, blankets etc. ) - Add more lights from different directions, and you can never have enough. "pro" setup (think tabletop titans-ish): lapelle mics and mixer. 2-4 LED panels placed around the board. Your camera will love you for it ;) Now I'll get back to watchign the last of the battlerep! :D
@@KristianHerner you are a star my man! Defo gonna implement this. The plan (when funds allow) would be two lapel mics for the players :)
@@bastiongamesminiaturegaming Sounds good! Just be careful not to run into the "gotta get more tech-stuff"-rabbithole. First make sure you enjoy making battlereports :D
@@KristianHerner appreciate it dude. Stay tuned for this weeks ! :)
Nicely done, impressive technique!
Nice . Hussar generalising is a absolute must .
Great Trailer ...... great song !
YAS!
The Legions of the Omnissiah will be ready to March!
I use Vallejo as a beginner but thinking of changing to foundry as I like the 3 step rule .
Hello!! Great job on the channel! Have you considered using followsm . c o m to increase your subs?!
Great Video I would highlight recommended it to a beginner without hesitation
Excellent enjoyed, comparison chart great idea very useful..
Thank you for the kind words my man!
Cheers, Ian, an enjoyable chat. Does the model come with chains or have you sourced them from somewhere else?
Needed to look for the chains but for me they add that next wee level of detail... I'll post a wee link up if I can...
There's a wee link hope it works
Get some pics of your chained up horses somewhere and tag me in i would love to see how you are doing yours.. Best Ian
Nice review well explained and perry do some very nice sculpts
Paul did you ever paint up your 95th Rifles - can we have pics? All the best Brucey. Andy
Very nicely done, very informative tutorial but do you use a wet palete
I dont actually its not something ive tried. Generally I just use a paint thinning medium as I go! You?
@@bastiongamesminiaturegaming ive always use a wet pallet simply because in my hobby room its pute sunlight when i paint so i have to
Aye mic problems abound
In the words of Napoleon...the finest men led by the worst generals 🤣
