This was so easy... 5min per seat... Thanks at Dick...suggestion: after removing the main cover and the two smaller ones , put the seat down and do the middle bolt first with a socket extension... and there after put the seat up, hook it inplace and do the two side bolts... lift and remove... 😌

Thank you! For anyone with a newer Fortuner with electric seats, the little electrical socket has a squeeze clip to pull off and then a flat head or butter knife to pop the cable holder out of place.

Finally I could remove the left 3rd row seat with the help of this Afrikaner. Thank you kindly. I watched two others prior with all the music and no instructions which in the end didn't help at all.

Thanks Dick, I was tempted to use an angle grinder and a 12 pound hammer. . The buzzer behind the dash was so irritating, I stripped the dash and drilled a hole through the speaker.. Problem solved !!

Many thanks, it helped me a great deal. but very important. Do follow the advice given by Velocedad below. It will save you a lot of time and effort by using the 14 mm ratchet and not the ring spanner.

If only toyota remove them as an option.

Can i just check the model year?

Don't remove the trim that goes around and under the hinge to get to center bolt, instead lift the seat and pop off the small cover attached to seat which is close to the hinge. It is held by two white clips and pops off. Now you put the seat back down and you can get to the center bolt with the ratchet from above after popping off the top hinge/spring cover. This is easier and only ratchet needed to finish the job.
