I think cats can appreciate the sublime. They just can’t read, so symbolic representations of the sublime aren’t recognized. But actual experience of the sublime is certainly accessible.
@@jackdavinci ahhhh interesting. I kind of got the impression you had to grapple with your own mortality to feel sublime. I did want to put some research into whether animals know they’re going to die or not. Maybe elephants feel the most sublime

One of my early posts was about art. I understand this is compliment fishing to some degree, but I'll bite. This is genuinely good. Good art envokes something in its readers/listeners/viewers. You reminded me for whatever reason, of Zdzislaw Beksinski with that first building, it's architecture. I hope my words envoked some positive emotion in you friend.
Aww thank you, yes it is compliment fishing but rarely are they so nice! I studied architecture so maybe that’s why you get that sense, I’m glad you liked them it means a lot

If time is as some scientists believe, a separate dimension from space or even a higher dimension, time would need be magnitudes bigger than space. In fact, time would need envelop all of space at every planck length of time, which would be so near infinity for us, it might as well be infinite.
Wowwww I didn’t realize that, mental

@@bencrawshaw3D Ah that's what it reminded me of. I watched it last month and started going down the rabbit hole but after a few things broke, I started to get lost and never came back to it. The URL to the project overview page (where it has buttons for Editor/Play/Fork) would be ideal.
Manifold garden is peak, one of my all time favorite games
@@p-raven yesss I think so too
I just found your channel through this video and stumbled upon your "wild space" series. I absolutely love it. Clearly an insane amount of work has gone into it. I'm honestly baffled almost nobody seems to have seen it. What a hidden gem. Also thank you for this video. Manifold garden is such a beautiful game. I remember being immediately captivated by the trailer and its unique aesthetic. The development of the game is surprisingly well documented on William chyr's channel and blog. His dev streams and blog entries going back to when the project was still called relativity are a treasure trove for anyone interested in game development
Hey! That’s amazing I’m so glad you like you wild space! I do it with friends and it takes us years to make an episode. There’s a new one coming out soon on it’s own channel. Yeah it’s a really fascinating game with concepts and creative problem solving. I wanted to include the stuff about why he changed the name but couldn’t fit it all in.
I tried to reply but I think it got removed because it had a link to the wild space channel in it. Rest assured, I found it. I personally like the decidedly non-clickbait thumbnails, but I'm afraid they will not work for people not already familiar with the series. You can't tell what kind of video it is, so new people won't know if they would be interested. You have a memorable art style and a very creative animation technique, but I would never know from just the thumbnails, which is a shame. Have you considered using something more in line with the thumbnails on this channel, maybe with the title superimposed?
@ hey!!! Nice to hear from you. I hope you don’t mind but I sent a screenshot of your comment to my friends. We’re really proud of the next episode so would actually like it to get views and we’ve been trying to think of how to get the thumbnail and titles working. I couldn’t agree with you more, I think people will look at the thumbnail and think the entire video is just a drawing. We could even put the word ‘animation’ in there there somewhere. TH-cam is a funny business because what feels tasteful is rarely what people actually click on ahaha. Thanks for your comments though it really brightens my day :)
I don't mind at all. It is kind of exciting to find a real hidden gem and I would love for you to succeed. I'm no expert in TH-cam marketing but it may be helpful to look what works for others as inspiration. There is a channel called Righteous Robot for example. He also does animations with paper, seems quite successful and the thumbnails seem eye-catching but quite tasteful. The word 'animation' on the thumbnail itself is maybe overkill and takes away valuable space, but it could be part of the title. It might also be a good idea to add a description; a bit of information about the project and maybe some credits. This is not only helpful for viewers but might also help the algorithm categorize the video and show it to people interested in similar videos
@@qwqeqrqtqzYeah I think I’ve seen righteous robot before, they mentioned that it’s a short film in the title which I think we could do. Adding a description and some hashtags would also definitely help. I also saw that they post content like ‘making a cowboy stop motion film (out of paper) and I think people would be as much interested in that as the final output. I think the fact that we make it out of paper is more interesting than the fact that it’s a badly acted space adventure
I swear to God that talented devs gets less attention
Ahahah that you that means so much! I haven’t been doing this very long so maybe the attention is around the corner
