How did you remember all of that so clearly? Contemporaneous note-taking, audio recording, or phenomenal memory?

I'm 100% convinced we all cram 10lbs in a 1lbs bag and skinny by our test. After that we lose 50% of it in the first month. Once you fly that rating for a year it all slowly comes back and starts to stick as you get used to using everything you've learned.

I just found this video as my checkride (also in the PNW) is coming up. You mention around the 2:30 mark that your DPE is quizzing you in the plane. Is it fair to tell them (in the case they are trying to distract you from aviating to see how you react) "I am happy to answer these when we're on the ground, right now I'm going to fly"
