Meyers EZ Mount Snow Plow Rusted Frame Removal

This is how to separate the round tube plow mount from the receiver tube frame. These are typically rusted together. This method uses no oil, heat, or torches.
1975 Dodge Power Wagon Front Rotor Replacement
มุมมอง 41K12 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a how-to video of how to replace the front rotors of a 1970's and early 1980's Dodge Power Wagon and Ramcharger. If you have questions please ask, this is my first video like this so please comment and make suggestions for improvements. If you want other how-to's for this type of truck I can try and make one. Enjoy!

    I'm about to do my 4th build out, always interested in new techniques. I built out a mobile photography display/sales unit and used the foam insulation with the same white fiber board on top. It still looks almost new 13 years later after thousands of folks been inside.

    Looks good. I've used that R tech material before and now I have a 7x14' trailer with a cambered front (convex). This is an informational video and I almost think I want to take this a step further later when I get the money and spring for 2 layers of R-Pro max foam and screw in real plywood ceiling material (like ⅜" or ½" for strength so shoplights or other things can be screwed in)

    Well HI guy's I have same tubular type plow frame on my 2001dodge ram 2500 and frame been on truck far as I Know since truck was new So I'm getting lucky but not completely lucky drivers side coming loose after 8 oz can PB blaster and truck jack on it and 5 ton pump jack broke drivers side loose but passenger side is stubborn, heat not great with PB blaster in tubes So my experience of muffler shops us this I'm cutting stubborn tube off at 1/2" out and then split the tube in large tube too truck and twist it out after air blasting crap out tube too see what I'm splitting then after out clean it grind it re-weld it back together better than splitting big tube like in video.

    Oh man if you do this, you get in that far put in new studs, it's not worth reusing them unless you have no other option. They are a weak spot on these trucks with the 5 on 4.5 full time 4x4. I have one lol.

      We used self-tapping screws to attach furring strips to the frame when attaching our ceiling. Just make sure the screw is not too long (to punch through the roof). I think we used 3/4" or 1" screws - it kept the screw within the tubing.

    What's the R-value of the insulation?

    • @forthepeople2182
      @forthepeople2182 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It really doesn't matter because he left all kinds of gaps. The metal roof trusses uncovered. The insulation just laying/flopping around. Its better then nothing but a lot of work for minimal r value.

    • @imacrazyguy5831
      @imacrazyguy5831 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I personally believe in a good spray coating of foam for the roof as well as the white RV gel coating for the exterior. Maximum insulation and waterproofing.
