Hmmm, while I do agree that you can certainly draw allegory from Hollow Knights lore to prop it up as a message about racist imperialism and colonization, I believe you are stretching to fit the rest of your statements around the games narrative. It feels more like you are exploiting the way that the game chooses to tell a story through minimalism to interject your own agenda onto the plot devices. Which, if the case, would ironically be an action you have chosen to take which is eerily similar in theme to the white-washing you are saying the game is warning us about. :/ Not to say that what you are addressing in the history of the USA as a country wasn't a horrible event, because it absolutely was. Just don't agree that HK is secretly a statement about the genocide of Native Americans. Also, your perception of the Philippine-American War is misguided and inaccurate. I'm not saying the USA was benevolent in action or anything. But they certainly didn't arrive on the shores of our country with a huge navy with the goal of taking everyone as slaves and re-culturing us to be civilized. Lol. I guess you missed the part where Spain already did that much earlier. The war you are referencing was more about United States politics going on at the time. At least, on their side of it anyway. Btw I'm living in the USA at the moment, but from Bacolod City, Philippines, where I spent the first 30 years of my life. Just saying. Anyway, just giving you some things to think over before planning your follow-up video. XD

Wow. So I never really thought that this would get so much attention. This was a project, to keep it as vague as possible, for college (not a film class, I am not a film student). I had to upload this video to TH-cam so that my professor could show it in class. I don't want to write what this video may mean because any way you interpret it is valid. If you are subscribbling because of this video...sorry. I don't usually make content like this. I either make game reviews or short memes. After all this positive reception I may decide to make another video like this. This was just to make an interpretive video in turn of a presentation. I am no film expert. Thank you all for watching!
