Short Chaining
มุมมอง 4.2K6 หลายเดือนก่อน
At SPD we want to elevate ALL flatbedders to be the best and safest they can be and the best way to do that is with education. Short chaining is half art half science but our very own Gonzalo C breaks it all down in a nice easy-to-remember manner. Just remember to never saddle a dead horse ;) www.spdtrucking.com Driver Recruiting: 1-360-474-5899 Smokey Point Distributing (SPD), a leader in aero...

With the temperatures about to soar, we at SPD want to do our part to make sure ALL drivers understand how they can best maximize their in-cab cooling system, ensuring they have a cool place to retreat to during the dog days of summer. That is why we invited Brian Tate, Daseke Director of Maintenance and Fleet Optimization, to walk us through the nuances of a truck's APU (in relation to cooling...

Hola alguien me puede ayudar a enviar USDT a Binance Mil gracias la clave es esta sport gold chicken liar flower door combine profit system path throw prize luego yo la cambio.
What a fantastic video! You show literally every step, so we who haul standard step deck can dream of becoming a big boy someday!🤣🤣 Seriously though, awesome video, you are a gifted teacher!
Thanks, Bill is a legend!
I started driving for a living in 1979 and by the time I retired in 2013 I had LOGGED just over 6 million miles.. that's just the miles I could log.....
The Fontaine is a better trailer. They did a great job designing them. Bigger hole for the airlines and the best thing is when you pull the rod to release the center pin, you turn it like you did. When you get out, after pulling ahead, step on it and it lets the pin release, but it hits a plunger that pops out when you pull forward. When you back up to reconnect, the plunger gets pushed back and the pin goes through the hole by itself. You can hear and see it from the cab, so you know your connected. Other trailers might have it, been a while. The XL Specialized is a nice trailer.
Thank you for the great video
Why does he have a steel trailer? Local drivers in day cabs usually pull those
I need this
Wow. This fella covered everything Excellent teacher. Thank you for sharing your knowledge my friend.
That is so damn cool! I found this afterseeing one of those stupid "reels" on Facebook where someone was complaining about receiving a flatbed after requesting an RGN, and I wanted to know what and RGN was. Well worth the half hour watch time, now I want one and all the cool stuff that would require having one... lol! Maybe I'll buy a wining lotto ticket...
The best video about that! Ty sir
Ratchet binders are much safer to use. Pull-down binders are old school .
What about doing this in the DOWN-POURING RAIN or in the Winter with the wild weather??
What you should do to blow the dirt/dust of the frame is get yourself an air hose that attaches to your truck and blow it off quickly!!
MAN... this is a LOT of work!! You'd better be paid well for this.
Crazy what people call a lot of work these days. Anything less and you'd be standing still.
Now, please teach us all how to proceed over a HUMPED RAILROAD TRACK!! 8-)
Question: where would be the best place to set the fifth wheel at when hauling single trailers and the winter hit the steers are sliding with no control? Most companies have their units set in the center between the drive axle
Binders like that and ya can get the rear chains off drive the unit forward to relieve the tension plus dont use those binders hate em
Thank you so much for your help 🙏🙏 god bless you sir
Why are you using that old binder?? Ratchet binder please...
I knew that was done to pack the ice but never thought about it cooling the tires 🤔 . Kool
the engine heater is warming coolant not engine oil
be a good thing to put the roller ramps on the tractor, driver keeps calling that tractor a T 880 though it is a T 680
Be careful with how you chain a load because you have to take it off and make sure you have enough tension on it so it ain't going to go anywhere
It’s good to know how they all work and understand the sequence of hook up and dropping RGN trailers
So you're telling me 60psi is equivalent to 60,000lbs?
Buy new binders you cheap ass broke shits
Bro this gotta be fake I work with binders for a bit on a couple jobs not much but I know if they gonna snap open you ain’t stopping it
Please stop usuing rubber strap bungee cords w s hooks. They should just call em eye poppers. I personally know 3 people who have lost an eye to these. All were wearing prescription glasses or regular saftey glasses. The hooks inevitably wind up behind the lens and gouging out an eyeball.
After this I’ll usually take another chain and wrap it around the bungee cord, padlock it and then bungee that down to the original chain on top of it with the original tie down looped through it works every time never had a load move once
Wrap the chain around the snap binder, then maybe bungee the chain to the chain. That bungee won't do a thing to stop that snap binder from snaping open
Wrap the dead end of the chain around it........
Thx for the video.
My newer gauge has trailer on it. Any idea how to check it? Also which air buttons to flip if any.
1:45 the hoses aren't even all the way in lmao.
Yes they are. There’s very little room on that brand trailer.
@@kylefitzythey’re absolutely not lol.
