My Way - The Life and Times of Frank Censale
มุมมอง 8583 ปีที่แล้ว
It is in our deepest sorrow that we reveal the passing of a beloved father, husband, brother, and mentor, Frank Censale on April, 21, 2021, at the age of 74 from natural causes. Frank Censale was born in Massachusetts, but forever a free spirit, he refused to be content in one spot. As a second generation Italian-American, Frank worked in his father’s family grocery store, stocking shelves and ...

USAFA Summer Seminar 2018
มุมมอง 21K6 ปีที่แล้ว
This seminar was amazing and I am truly thankful for meeting each and every officer, cadet and Summer Seminar student during my time there. |If you're vegan or vegetarian it's very doable at USAFA but like in most cases requires dedication and commitment|

    Beautiful storytelling! Loved learning the entire history of our hair in the time it took you to do yours. Brava, Paige Censale! A friend shared this with me after seeing it in the Brown Film Festival in NYC. #evertrue

    I just had an interview with USAFA for the Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering job, and I hope I get in. Who wouldn't want to teach in an academic-first institution with faculty to student ratio of 1:6, where students averaged a 31 on the ACT?

    My dearest friend Francisco, one of the three musketeers we became at work in El Paso; Robert, you and me. I will miss you forever, our time together before work every day, how much we all laughed and shared. I will love you and your kids and Sharon, and our memories till the day I die. I will remember your smile and your grumpiness who made us laugh even more, and Lonnie and I will always hold you and your family in our hearts always. Godspeed my wonderful friend. You sure were one of a kind. Watch us all from up above. And Paige, this is just awesome, it screams love, what an amazing job you did. Love y’all.

    how do you prepare physically for the summer seminar

    • @paigecensale
      @paigecensale 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      honestly there was barley any PT when I went. look at the previous comments where someone asked about PT and I said exactly what we did. I would say when you work out do circuit training. like lunges for 30 seconds to then jumping jacks for 1 minute to then push ups for 1 minute to then a 50 meter dash and then squats back to start and repeat three times and then like a mile run. I love doing exercises like these because they build your stamina and they're fun and not monotonous like running on the treadmill all day. just get the essentials down aka running, push ups, sit ups and squats. and take it one day at a time

    • @paigecensale
      @paigecensale 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      So for summer seminar heres a quick day by day breakdown: Day 1: Orientation day, got placed into our elements (consists of 8 summer seminar students and one cadet), went to briefings(we had about 4 briefings a day) Day 2: Military training day -Kicked and screamed on our doors at 0530 -Had to do a scavenger hunt, memorize quotes, address the cadre's the proper way and if we didn't we did lots of push-ups, sit-ups and ran everywhere. One kid in our element wore navy shorts so they harassed which in part made so that everytime he got in trouble we got in trouble so I think we did the most push-ups out of any other element. -Learned about all the programs USAFA had to offer such as the remotely piloted aircraft operation center, parachuting team called Wings of Blue -Got briefings about the pilot program -took a historical tour around USAFA Day 3: -Visited all the athletic facilities such as the football field, indoor track, pool, fencing room, ice hockey building... -Practiced the physical training evaluation -Played intramurals Day 4: -Physical training day- was doable but difficult because of the altitude -Saw the courtroom for cadets who break the Academy's creed of "we will not lie, steal or cheat nor tolerate among us anyone who does" -went to pilot simulation and flew an airplane -Also was academic day so we met the professors and learned about the different classes and majors Day5: -Last day -Went to airport and hung out with the kids who had similar flights -Housten was my last stop and said good bey to the last of the summer seminar kids
