Where did you enter? I have not seen that before
@@partonepodcast the Turkey lot. It’s pretty much the mid-point of the two sides.
Single track for days!!! Great video
Thanks for the trail preview! Cant wait to go!
Used to live over by Swanson and rode it at least once a week or so, been too long. Need to get back up there before the snow comes.
Love your videos man! What do you use to record?

@@Wh33lMan I was a skateboarder thru my mid 20s. Found mountain biking in 2020 during the pandemic. Great way to stay in shape plus scratches a similar itch. If you get a bike, hit me up and I'll show you around sometime.

Great video! Love your new E Bike! 😂
Hey I’ve been watching your videos for a really long time and I have a question for you. What is the best beginner mountain bike trail in Omaha?
Swanson Park in Bellevue would be my first pick for a new rider.
Ok thanks!
The Wabash trace has a green blue trail that runs parallel to the main trail.. The trailheads are on both sides.. They call it the horse trail.. 5 miles of singletrack.. Some tough short climbs no jumps and lots of poison ivy
@@demoanddestroy been meaning to check those out. Lake Manawa and Chalco Hills have green trails too. It’s hit or miss on whether they are maintained because they aren’t THOR trails so I don’t include them.
@@TallGuyTrails Chalco hills isn’t bad there are lot of trails you just have to look for them. Even across 370 there are more trails. I don’t recommend lake Manawa. Homeless encampments
Brushing up on Bentonville videos. Couldn't resist watching you eat shit again. 😜
For a while I was living near Swanson park and visited it several years in a row. Sadly, last time I went there the manmade features, which did in fact exist, were in severe disarray. I nearly asked THOR about doing a renovation for my Eagle Scout project, but that didn't happen for a number of reasons.
Yeah, the challenge of dirt jumps is someone has to maintain them consistently or they melt away. Still a great trail.
I LIVE HERE AND DIDNT KNOW ANY OF THESE EXISTED
Same here.
Love your channel since moving to Omaha thank you for showing all these trails!!
@@amandam1969 no problem!
I live in Fremont, typically bike alone, but would love to join one of the group rides you all do. When’s the next one?
Join the THOR Trails Facebook group. That's where we normally post them. There are weekly rides too at Walnut Creek, Platte and Tranquility. Great opportunity to meet other riders. Our weekly Taco Ride at Walnut Creek is every Tuesday, 6pm. Starts in the parking lot behind the Good Life Bar in Papillion, 96th St and Hwy 370.
So cool!
Very good video about put the divice in action. That help a lot. Thanks
any idea how it's held up with the massive wind storms and this this year?
Just rode it yesterday. It's in great shape!
Swanson has a lot of climbing, somewhat rewarded if you can manage fast downhills. Also agree with the river side of Manawa having a green xc area. Not a fan of the big switchback climb at Tranquility, but it was necessary for erosion. I much preferred just getting on it and going straight up to get it over with :)
@@Angrybutcher most of the trails in this video have more climbing than Swanson tho 🤔 (all except Walnut Creek and Oxbow)
my dude, I live in SC and I had no idea we had this nice of a bike park. thank you for your service

What camera do you use?
@@Zen_Photographyy GoPro 11 for this video. Sometimes I use an Insta360 Go 2.
@@TallGuyTrails thanks dude ive been looking into getting one or maybe trying the DJI action camera but can't decide what to go with. Also kinda random i think i saw you at lewis and Clark a few weeks ago, or the guy just had similar riding gear as you
@@Zen_Photographyy probably fine either way. I hear good stuff about the DJI cams. Yeah, that was probably me.🙂
Well shoot I'll have to stop by that platte river spot this weekend!
I wish they had a trial like this in le mars
@@Apeattacksurvivor I wish they had ice cream at Cone Park. Oh wait, they do! And beer! 🍦🍺 😆
Looks like tons of fun!
I referenced this and other videos before coming here. I've been severly disapointed in these trails. Most of the trails are so short you spend more time driving to these locations than riding (the laps are short so expect the same thing over and over again). The other thing that bothered me was your black trails are more like greens with some blue features and a drop. Calling this a Omaha sleeper hotspot is a stretch. Lastly, you should be mentioning the park fees while not exaggerating the drive time.
Curious, where you from?
Did you give Lewis and Clark a shot? That one is best for sessions as every fun line has shortcuts for lapping them. I put in 10-15 miles of sessioning every ride. Also, Platte River is the only trail that requires a pass. What are you used to?
@@omahamtb6580 Agreed, L&C is free and about 15 minutes from downtown. It has expert-level free-ride features that seem to challenge even the YT guys from Colorado, although it lacks the well put-together consideration of modern flow trails in Bentonville. I've been riding the milder trails in Omaha for years and there is plenty at L&C that will probably always be above my skill.
@@TallGuyTrails Asheville, but i also spent a few months in UT, CO, ID, WY. I lowered my expectations and understood I would be riding hills. It's a shame really because there could be a lot of potential around here. Yes, I tried lewis and clarke a few times since it is the nearest one and it wasnt bad, just short... maybe condense is a better word? Not sure, but it felt like an appetizer.
@@smog24 understand your perspective. We don't have continuous connected mtb trails around here. Things are on the up and up tho with more trails getting built and a growing biking community, but we are light years behind the places you mentioned. If you moved here, look into getting involved in Trails Have Our Respect (THOR). Otherwise, I'm just trying to get the word out to people in our general area about what we DO have. If you have questions, or want to ride sometime, hit me up!
Nice video man... We're headed there next week.
@@mmichaelsen69 awesome! I want to take my son up there soon. Have fun!
Thank you for showing all these trails!! I have added so many to my list from watching your channel, been to Mandan and Tranquility so far since moving to the area :D
@@amandam1969 sick! Glad to help!
great video
Haven't ridden swanson in a few years, but there used to be a few man-made obstacles. They're kind of hidden towards the back. Might be worth some more exploring
@@jasonmock848 for the most part, anything jump related at Swanson is gone. Still a super fun rooty XC trail.
Is this at “Black Elk Neihardt Park” ? Trying to find the trail on google maps but dont see anything… new to NE :)
Yep, that’s the place 👍
@@TallGuyTrails thank you!! :)
Awesome video. I'll be referencing this for when I'm into mtb again! We've been needing a video like this for a while now.
@@m.i.c.h.o thanks! Glad it’s helpful!
Cone park is awesome and great for the community!
How are the table tops there?
Pretty good! Great line to session
Love this trail
Lol
I like cone parks a little bit more
@@HecticRL Cone Park is fun, and the skills park there is super cool. But if you are comparing the dirt trails, Lewis & Clark is waaaaay better. (Unless you hate climbing.)
*Lewis and Clark are so good*
I am down ahahahhahahahahaahhahahhahaahhahaha
I would like to know how I can configure my rim size correctly, because on my bicycle computer it is configured correctly and on the Apple Watch I have a discrepancy of 8 kilometers due to the wheel size configuration, which in my case is a 29 rim. I have already connected my speed sensor on the apple watch and I also selected the size but it simply ignores it, can you tell me how I can solve this problem?
@@victordejesus0000 honestly have no idea. Mine using GPS has never been terribly off compared to my friend whose ebike tracks by the wheel.
Best trail we got.
100%
Good job the first few times I hit that line I ended up having to jump off the bike and slide back down the hill
Ha, as soon as I knew I was off line on my first attempt, all I could think was "grab a root" 😆
Get a dirt bike it’s easy to climb banks
