Helloooo friends! We've got a fun one today on 3d product animation and motion in Unreal Engine 5.4. I go over a common modern animation technique that you see all over the internet - speed ramping/velocity driven transitions. There's a few methods on camera sweeps/movement, lighting animation, putting it all together and getting the timing right and a bunch more tips! I also show you how to utilise the new keyframe helpers that has come with the new Motion Design mode in Unreal Engine 5.4.
Thank you all for the support and I hope this was helpful. See you soon ✌🏽

Thanks in advance, I have a workflow question that I cannot find discussed or mentioned anywhere. I your opinion what is an optimal workflow to best for deal with multiple scenes of an animation or cinematic, where each scene contains different lighting, objects, environments etc. Is there perhaps a more efficient option or other option than multiple levels? Definitely want to avoid multiple Unreal projects per shot. Killer work and taste btw, appreciate you sharing your creative knowledge!
Hi, I'm enjoying your video but have a question. Every time I change the Post Process Volume Exposure to (0) the light goes dark. Is there a reason for this as yours do not. :)
Wow. Tutor about virtual camera. 🎉🎉🎉…..to be continued
Just Amazing! could you please share render time and specs of PC?
hey Ali can you please make a video of decals like how do we make a single sided decals in ue 5.4 its easy for the boxy type shapes but what about curvy shapes its visible on both sides of mesh and if i try to make my bounding box small then its fade out on curved meshes because the bounding box is not touching the side of the curved mesh i hope you get my point 🥲😅
legend
Thank you so much, your way of explaining worth gold.
This is Gold!!! Thanks for sharing it!!!
Ali, we need glass material tutorials..plz
One of the BEST EVER Tutorials on youtube so underated tbh , thank you so much Ali !!!! all my support to you man
Bro, you are my hero!!!!!! No joke! God bless you!! TY
I made this skull in blender and it looks good but then importing it into UE5 the shading gets completely messed up. Even when I turn off shadows there's still a shadow on the model lol.I've been trying to figure this out for awhile now
thank you so much, its helpfull!
Great vid, congrats!!! 👏👏👏👏 Can you make a tutorial of how to apply surface imperfections to objects, please? that would be great!

Next video on surreal landscape or environment like cinema 4D ? 😁
2:19 - What's the difference between put this command or disable the focus method in the camera? Isn't the same thing?
Nothing at all! I just do it so I don’t need to check that setting whenever I make a new camera. Good thing to bring up though 🙏🏽
Thanks dude. Was trying to figure out how to render out an emmisive material on an actor that has several materials and crypto looks like it's doing the job. Cheers
Great video! thank you so much for explaining all of these great stuff! I have one question, How did you deal with LODs in your scene that the final shot looks so good?
Definitely want more of this!
Amazing vid, thanks Ali!
I have a quick question about you? where are you from ali?
i'm missing the menu for "motion design" though i've updated to 5.4.4. the menu with (operator stack, remote control, material designer, etc". any clue on how to retrieve that menu bar? it's been HELL
nvm. issue solved.

Great job Ali, Just passing by to give my comment and like, I will get back to it later this weekend inshAllah for learning with you and Mason 💪🏾
What's that song name ..?
Lovely 😮
Tutorial is dope as always but please also provide links for similar models 😄
Awesome Ali ! I am super loving that Motion Design keyframer and how it breaks out the transform values into their own window! Will have to give it a try on my next project.
Is it possible to make the curve editor fullscreen?
mannn i can't wait to dive into this
Also the tutorial is LIVE NOW on Patreon → www.patreon.com/iamrossmason/home Go show Ross some love for having me on the channel 🙏🏽 Sorry for the audio around 6:20 - 8:20 - Copyright flagged it 😭 If anyone knows where I can find good copyright music that fits my channel/vibe please let me know!
Can you interact with the scene? drop a character and move it around? or make it like a VR experience?
Yeah as long as your geometry has collisions! And you can use the VR Project Template to have all the controls ready to go.

🤣 you not wrong
@@ali.3d Please 🙏
nice video man, I learned a lot from your channel. I do have a suggestion though, most of your audience come here to participating in focus learning and follow with your tutorials. A lot of us play background music on our end already , so it would be nice if you could turn off the background music for your video. It's not that big of a deal but it makes a huge different. thank you for you hard work tho, keep it up!
Thank you so much for the kind words 🙏🏽 I totally see where you're coming from-I’m someone who also plays background music (which I usually pause while watching tutorials). However, the background music I use is intentional and adds to the overall aesthetic. I like the idea of creating 'lo-fi' tutorials with jazz, classical, or lo-fi hip hop instrumentals. So while I completely understand your point, for me, the music is a creative choice that's part of the style of videos I want to make. Again, thanks for your support and genuine feedback-I hope you can understand 🫶
Pretty cool 🤎🤎> bt this effect can be EASILY ACHIEVED with after affects> by 1st rendering only base part> then rendering with grass > and then adding grass render on base part render with mask effect> what i am interested is> i want to know how to create tree branches growing effects like ANY TREE in Blender
hey ali please make a video of a hdri backdrop because whenever i try to use the hdri as a background for my render it never matches according to my scene kind of looking flat or not enough depth it feels like a single image is just placed in the background
Yep will do! Added to the list 🫡
@@ali.3dthanks man🫶🏻
Does unreal work on the M3 MacBook pro
Awesome video Ali - you got me excited about doing another PCG project! Question about the EXECUTE BLUEPRINT node - first time I've see that. Are those Blueprints that come with the PCG plug-in? I would have expected a SCALE BY DENSITY node to exist on it's own - a pretty common action, but I guess not.
Thank you so much! Tbh I also would've expected it to be it's own node but I guess they're still trying to figure things out with the whole node collection. Yes all those blueprints come with the PCG plugin! So no need to worry 🙏🏽
Awesome. Where do you learn this type of shortcut like in the minute 10:10? Do you just learn the documentation or learn through videos?
If you right-click on the TRANSFORM label it will bring up a pop-up menu that shows the shortcut keys that he used. The SHIFT+RMB / LMB allow you to copy/paste ALL PROPERTIES IN THAT CATEGORY. Something I just learned myself! 🙂
One of my friends did it in a screen recording and I couldn't believe it! But yes as @John_atCTS said - right clicking on anything is mostly how I learn all my shortcuts!
WHAT? So lucky I found this video for my Unreal
I think I'm not the only one thinking of this: Is it real time 100% or a pre enregister walkthrough and then exported ? @Ali.3d
Ahh good point! It's all rendered out with Movie Render Queue. Used Take Recorder to capture the Virtual Camera movement. I'll add this to the description now!
Thank you.
Lovely ! Audio is synced with post or do you have audio triggers directly in the scene ? (still haven't messed with audio in engine yet)
Thank you! Audio was done in post 😅The in-engine audio stuff is really good though, but I also haven't played with it too much either.
Great video thanks! Can you help with an issue please? The materials which I made in the new material designer look great in viewport, but when rendering with the movie render queue all materials are missing and render black with the following error message: “Detected 2 read-only materials with missing niagra usage flag required to work properly with cloner” In other posts I’ve read to open the materials in the main UE mat editor and make sure that in the materials niagra usage settings that “use with Niagra mesh particles” is checked… But mine are already checked!? Any advice appreciated Many thanks
So converting it to a UE material doesn't fix the issue? Weird....did you ever find a solution? Sorry I can't be of more help 😪
just wowwww😦
