Lauterbrunnen to Interlaken Ost approaches Wilderswil
Narrow gauge rack assisted railways conjure up images of Welsh mountain trains. The Bernese Oberland Railway is different. It is a narrow-gauge mountain railway in the Bernese Oberland region of Switzerland. It runs, via a "Y" junction at Zweilütschinen to serve Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald from Interlaken. The railway is rack assisted.

There are countless walking routes on the Long Mynd. This one takes in a variety of scenery and is popular with walkers, joggers, cyclists and horse riders. OS maps cannot be shown here but the video should be easy to follow.
Offa's Dyke From Llanfair Waterdine

This circuit is taken anti-clockwise. It is a moderate walk with easy to modest short climbs. Offa's Dyke is the highlight and it can be enjoyed further by progressing north but a suitable return should be devised. The route shown takes in beautiful hills and woodland. Bird life abounds.
Malvern Hills End to End S to N

South to north traverse of the whole Malvern Hills ridge in late September 2020. After a misty start the day was very hot. The route includes Ragged Stone Hill which is omitted from most guides. Transport will be required to the start - we used a taxi and left a car in North Quarry Car Park. Our route was about 10 miles and just under 3000 ft. of ascent.

Rug cleaning

This rug had been in a large flood and had been standing in water for an extended period. Not all rugs are suited to this type of submersion cleaning but this machine woven example has good integrity and stable dyes. This method of cleaning with oriental rug shampoos and multiple rinsing took about three hours followed by drying with air movement and dehumidifiers.
Commercial Encapsulation Cleaning

Belgian Wilton Carpet - very prone to shrinkage so deep wet cleaning is not an option. One of the major issues for this job was odour removal and the low-moisture encapsulation method worked very well.

There are other routes to both summits, notably by following the main Cuillin ridge from other peaks and the difficult circuit by way of Sgurr Thuilm. For walkers though, take the path up from the SYHA to An Dorus.
