@@Gemhousewithvalkonda That's a pretty hard question lol. I'd have to say the Anniversary! The Millennium being automatic is so cool! I respect the Space Traveler's for the watch making complexity it contains. I'm not big into space myself. I really love George Daniels personal pocket watch, that Grand Complication of his! I brought him up because of his involvement with Breguet. He respected Breguet so much, and his style is greatly influenced by Breguet. What about you?

@@1988banker it is so handy and cool that Grand Complication has a thermometer! I heard that people put pocket watches on the strap, but only very recently in person I saw that. I would love to see grand complicaion on a strap, so it is warn. If to put on my wrist, I will choose millenium for sure. I try not to look for similarities, but it does resemble Breguet Classic a lot, you are right - influence right there.

@@Gemhousewithvalkonda Wow, you've seen a pocket watch converted to a wristwatch!? From my understanding during WW2 some soldiers converted pocket watches to wristwatches for convenience. When they got home they made wristwatches a thing for men. I'm sure you know all of that! If I could choose any pocket watch in the world, I'd want one from the sinking of the Titanic. You know so much about horology! You probably know just as much about jewelry. I know a very small amount about jewelry. If I have a question I need an answer to about watches, I'm asking you haha!

@@1988banker yes, the wristwatch was very interesting. It was for sure recent work, but I saw so many pocket watches that I would love to have from the dealer, and he convinced me not to put them on the wristband :)

@@1988banker I totally agree on similarity with Royal Oak’s shape. And.. AP technically did the diamond-set bracelet watch in 1917 , which is the earliest confirmed and documented octagonal-shaped wristwatch.

@@Gemhousewithvalkonda Wow! That's pretty wild. Years before Genta was even born. I imagine he knew a lot of the early history of the brands. I wonder if that was some inspiration to him? Like, why he gave that design to AP, and the Nautilus to PP. I know the years they were made, but I wonder how long the idea's were floating around in his mind? You really are an expert on this stuff! Myself not so much, but I love learning about things I take interest in! Was it a JLC movement in the 1917 watch, or did AP make it? I know JLC made that really small movement for bracelet style watches.

@@1988banker my analysis leads to that AP approached Genta with the shape idea and Genta took designs further, going on the route of bold look and introduction of a sport looking watch. Genta did approach Patek with perfected design which they happily went for and it became Nautilus ;)
