Benchmarks, emulation of old and new games, setup guides and interesting or funny stuff about games.
I am trying to test every piece of hardware that I have on emulators like Yuzu, Cemu, Dolphin, Citra or PCSX2.
My favorite games are Super Mario series, Tomb Raider (I don't like these new remakes), GTA San Andreas, Soldier of Fortune, Mafia, Ninja Gaiden, old Pokemon Games,...
I don't like the new games (mostly) but I love retro games and hardware.

A Palit 7600GT was my first even decent GPU for my first gaming build. Can remember playing the demo of crysis on it on lowest over and over because I was broke 😆 Wasn't a bad deal when it was new.
Good times! I used to have a FX5200
I would also recommend u to try gtx 1080 fr😎😎
Great! Is the Fx using Dx9?
All FX cards had very bad DX9 support I bet that most DX9 games are running in DX8 (hardware method) but in DX9 (software method) th-cam.com/video/OXx8DI9Ns2k/w-d-xo.html (MSI AB detects software method)
Great lineup comparison among the MX 440 variants. Thanks!
Idk but the Radeon 9500 is pretty bad
GeForce4 MX 440 8x (Core NV18) was released on September 25th, 2002 Most of these cards were underclocked to 250 MHz (Core) and used slower memory. It wouldn't be fair to use only 275/500 MHz card in this benchmark. Note: The GeForce4 MX 440x from XpertVision was originally clocked to 275 MHz core and 200/400 MHz memory. But I overclocked it to 275/500 MHz (NVIDIA official clocks for this card) GeForce FX 5600 XT was released on March 17th, 2003 or in October 2003 according to some sources. Don't be confused by NVIDIA's branding. Original non XT or non LE versions were much stronger. All good but you forgot to mention tag&spray, buying all properties and collecting horseshoes/seashells
You have to collect all oysters, horseshoes, snapshots and tags to achieve 100% so you can't do this anymore after you beat the game
I almost forgot how bad the fx5600xt was
nice
Nice comparison raw! I dont know, how faster 150-200% the GT 430, but I'll figure it out.
Why FX 5600 is faster than MX 440? the cards are almost identical in the specification
Well the FX 5600 XT has much higher Pixel Fillrate and it is better optimized for DX8 and DX9 games. MX series had only software DX9 support. MX cards had only emulated vertex shaders. I bet that FX cards also had improved memory controller.
woa the cod 2 results are interesting, i wonder why the fx 5600 xt lost :o
The MX 440 is DX7 card and COD2 runs in DX7. I think that newer cards are using much more sophisticated methods how to run this game and that makes them slower. I think that the FX 5600 XT would be faster in cod2 than the MX 440 with Anti aliasing on.
@@alphadog6970 Very informative. I didn't know this.
i didnt know that nvidia did that for the fx series cards, thanks for the reply!

I still remember how as a kid i bought 5700le from my friend to upgrade from mx440 xd and i was dissapointed how the performance difference wasnt bigger, i guess maybe my duron 1200mhz was bottleneck? idk xd
I have 3gb of ram and i want to play mario kart will it be playable?
What is your CPU and GPU? I think it might crash with 3 GB from time to time.
1024x768 for these videocards is a bit of an overkill. And it shows. 800x600 was very much the standard for the playable framerate on them when they were released.

What difference does 45.23 make on FlatOut? Does it not make a difference on the XT?
45.23 slows down FlatOut on FX cards by 30%. 45.23 can cause very low cpu usage in some games 16% vs 50% so the gpu has to work harder (on FX series). This is a very interesting topic for future videos.
This test is not very good. The MX in this test has only SDR memory. Sadly I can't test it again because the X800 doesn't work anymore.

Try the GeForce G210 1GB DDR3 OEM
Based on my countless tests, overall the X800pro is approximately 255% faster than the 9550. I used a 3.4GHz Pentium 4 Prescott CPU.

Hello, I remember as a kid in 2004 I was constantly salivating for that x800 pro toxic, it looked so cool and was so powerful yet too expensive to afford, a friend of mine who worked at a pc store called me one day to show me that when you place a UV light stick near it it changes it's color, it was so awesome. Thanks for the nostalgia :) maybe make a video showcasing how cool it looks under UV ? :D
I don't remember how could I play HL2 on Fx5700Le back then . It was 20 fps , every level took 4 minutes to load .
It is always interesting to see, how low the Vram size was back then, but the games look still good.
Not a bad showing for both cards. It’s a shame these cards are harder to find at a reasonable price now.
If you live near me I'll give it to you for 15$
where are you?

How about an FX 5500 256MB vs FX 5700 LE 128MB
d3d11 8800gt?? wtf? The first generation to support DX11 was the 400 series in 2010. how is that possible then?
It's only software support. Check out these specs: www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/geforce-8800-gt.c201 check out graphics features it says DirectX 11.1 (10_0) This card has full DX10 support but only partial (software) DX 11 support. It can run games like Tomb raider (but without some effects like tessellation). Unfortunately it can't run The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt because this game requires full DX11 support. (MSI afterburner detects software method)
No, G92 supported dx11, but only in software. My g92 beat the GTX 645. This gt 630 is a Gt 430 oc or a gt440. This tests is unreal?
This is another one i have questions about i just pulled a radeon 7000 64mb out of my main win98se system and i saw noticably better performance
This one is heavily cutted down and probably slowed down by MSI afterburner. I bet that you used win98 + fraps. This R7000 has core downclocked to 155 MHz and it has only SDR memory. Some versions had core and memory clocked only to 143MHz. But there were some much better versions with core clocked to 183 MHz and DDR memory clocked to 183/366 MHz. Which one do you have? Some older games are running much better under Win98 with older drivers and older DX Dlls and as soon as you install DX 9.0c your performance goes down. Can you post some GPU-Z specs? Did you use exactly the same settings as I did? (color depth, resolution, etc...)
Processor should be at least Athlon 64 4000+ or even Core2Duo with AGP 8x. And percent of each card load should be in monitoring. And as I remember, Far Cry, Doom 3, Morrowind and Half-Life 2 made Geforce 460 almost unplayable compared with Ge-Force 3 or 4.
How do you display percent load of each card on cards based on NV17, N18, NV31, NV34 etc. with MSI Afterburner? I have never seen a benchmark on youtube where there is percentage load monitoring on older cards like MX, FX, Ti 4xxx. GeForce 6xxx cards are the first one that can monitor this. Maybe you should make some kind of tutorial about this. I don't have any MoBo with AGP slot and Core2Duo support. This channel is not monetized and I am doing this for fun. I don't understant why don't you make a benchmark with Core2Duo and % usage of older cards if you know how... You also said that the CPU should be at least Athlon 64 4000+ but that's only single core... and Pentium D is Dual Core
@@RetroGamingKingdom I'm sorry about A64 4000+, I mean A64 X2 of course. It's a dual core CPU for S939 socket. It is much better than Pentium Dual core. Or it's even better to use Core 2 Duo CPU with AGP MB. I thought that you have these CPUs and motherboards in your storage room as I have. Regarding load percentage monitoring of old GPUs - dunno, I thought that it is possible. Sadly that old GPUs don't have such possibilities. Maybe you should ask developers on guru3d forum.
@@RetroGamingKingdom I'm slightly confused by a majority of some tests. Running a simple pentium 4 512mb ram and I'm seeing double the framerate in some situations. GeForce 6200 256mb 64 bit specifically. Win98se, I'll be recapping a 128 bit fx5500 256mb here in a few days, I'll retest.
@@2010Zanoza2 Unfortunatelly this is probably hardware limitation and developers from guru3d really can't do anything about this :-(. Have you tried your 6200 with Win Xp and MSI AB in the background? Check out this benchmark: th-cam.com/video/8UB6k9CYb7Q/w-d-xo.html He is running his GF 6200 in 800x600x32 with Pentium® 4 HT 3Ghz LGA 775, RAM: DDR2 512 Mb x2 667 Mhz at 30 fps and I am running mine at 39 fps in 1024x768 or this one th-cam.com/video/RW9yJ3ecisY/w-d-xo.html he is running it at 35-46 fps in 800x600 low details my runs at 39 in 1024x768 th-cam.com/video/TB0cq73I6co/w-d-xo.html which GF 6200 do you have? Slower with core 300 MHz and 250 MHz DDR memory or faster with 350 MHz core and 333 MHz DDR2 Memory? There are too many factors here... It would be very interesting to see GF 6200 64 bit paired with pentium Iv on Win98 with fraps.
I have this cart and google is soo laggy
how much is the impact of Afterburner on these old cards?
Faster memory is aparently better then more memory

I have 16 gb ram Ryzen 5700U with radeon graphics is it enough ? Its a laptop
You should have also tested Doom 3.
The test is unscientific. the FX 5200 is not at reference clocks.
I went from GeForce4 Ti 4200 to 6600GT and skipped the whole FX series. The 6600 GT was the true GeForce4 Ti 4200 replacement.
How do you get the 30 fps lock mod?
I think this option is avaible only in older yuzu versions like 200.
@@RetroGamingKingdomOh
@@RetroGamingKingdom But Does the mod work with yuzu verison 1348?
I wasn't able to find this version so I really don't know. You can try to search some graphic packs or mods for this game. It's not mod like resolution mod or fps mod It's option in older Yuzu versions. It used to be next to docked/undocked option if I remember. Why do you need 30 fps lock btw?
the performance of the FX is great in flatout
4850 gs?
GS=Golden sample It's overclocked edition
why you always keep visual fx quality on low in Gta san andreas
It would be very slow with high fx quality. But I included GTA SA with high fx quality to my PCIe benchmarks with Ryzen CPU.
