Fat Dad Fishing
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 4 พ.ย. 2011
This channel is all about helping more people catch more fish...in less time. Not everyone can spend day after day on the water hoping to find fish so these videos try to not only show catches, but some "how to fish" tactics and strategies to help you maximize your time on the water.
Fat Dad Fishing is focused primarily on inshore fishing in the mid-Atlantic area with special focus on Flounder (Fluke) and Striped Bass (Striper), but will also touch on other common local species including Tautog (Tog), Bluefish, Sheepshead, Triggerfish, etc.

I have no idea that this material existed. Will do for my kayak. thanks
That's actually a few blocks from where I grew up! Home sweet home! Atlantic City, we up! 💪🏾😤🤟🏾
Awesome video! I'm taking notes. Thank you!
Awesome stuff man. New subscriber here. Keep them videos coming and good luck out there
Amazing video, thank you!
Great vids, Ed. Subscribed! It’s my first year jetski/ kayak fishing after about 5 years of shore and surf fishing. I loke your techniques. Super simple.
Oh, man, I can’t wait for you guys to come back online. I love the show and you guys are the real deal. Thank you for all that you do.
We appreciate you Paul! Thank you for helping us to keep this thing going! -Ed
In the south, are they fishing that way because they have southern flounder and not summer flounder? I thought those were a different species which lived on shallow grass flats, etc instead of deep contours.
Hey Ed. Glad to hear Rich is doing well amd will be back soon.
Yeah man! We’re excited! -Ed
great videos - thank you. im from Ma - and am planning a trip to fish Great Bay end of october -- any advice? - your welcome to join us in Ma - or Rhode Island this fall for the fall run - stripers, blues, bonito, and albies - jrh
South Mississippi here… I just found ,and watched this video and the only thing I disagree with what you said is about flounder are less likely to bite in shallow waters during summer… We caught a two man limit (20) this past Tuesday 8/20/24 in a foot to three feet of water fishing marsh grass banks! The surface temperature here is 82 to 89 degrees… I been catching flounder for approximately 50 years now ( I’m 62) and always have success anytime I target flounder… Most of your information is correct and I agree with though brother. Thank you, 🕷️
I agree, I've caught flounder in the dead heat of the summer up on the flats, not to mention I was on my poling platform and watched them swim from the deeper water column into the flats while I was fishing. I do think they like to be comforable but I think depending on the time of year they will tolerate warmer waters in order to feed. Once they get their bellies full I imagine they will slide back into cooler water temps.
No need for an FG, an "aussie quickie" is 10x faster and holds just as well
I could use a lot of help I can’t seem to buy a fluke in cape may
Good stuff. I always had luck with a teaser also
I catch them on my kayak in Florida inshore all around wood docks and cement bridge pilings that have barnacles on them, you have to find the barnacles because that’s what they eat
Great interesting topic !!!
Miss your videos brother!
❤ GGRREEAATT Thank you
Hey where can I found that Topo Map of intracoastal waterway?
Do you have to launch at the marina to access this area?
The 8th Street jetty I was there today 7/2/24 got 2 keeper fluke and my 1 weakie your aloud to keep 23 in 2.7 lbs. jesus is the rock. Great video. Great job keeping the kids
I also fish the same areas. I find live minnows work the best.
Perfect!! Thanks you helped me save $$$.
Glad I could help!
Great idea I wish I could get my hands on one. Website doesn't exist I just tried
What bait?
Hey Ed! Curious as to where you’re launching down in AC. I’m further north (‘Squan) and want to venture further south but not familiar with kayak launches down there. Thanks!
Already out of business? Store link isn't valid.
Had to dial back as i am going through cancer treatments. You can email me at shadowlinecatch@gmail.com. we may be able to get one shipped to you.
Where can I watch these pod cast live so I can ask questions?
We are taking a break from the live broadcasts while I work through cancer treatments. We will return later this year.
Just find a meal prep container that fits cut the back out and you can use the lid which you can still see through a bit cover if it starts raining or just to keep it out of the elements while out and about. No need to heat bend just measure twice cut the back out and Velcro it to the back edge drill 3 small holes for air flow for condensation on the bottom. Takes about 10 minutes
Were you anywhere near ocracoke
Good title, thank you for your video.
Hey Ed, I got the Tsunami SaltX hooks, awesome hooks with an even better price. Caught a 16 pounder this past week end on them. Super sharp and they haven't really gotten dull from structure in 3 trips, same hooks. 👍👍 also pulled up an 18.5 on the skinner rod, handled it no problem.
Is this for sale on a website?
Great job, Eddy “Captain Hank!”
Just found this video. Great information! Appreciate that you told me about the fish not just about fishing. So much more inciteful! Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!

Bayside Dave has been awesome. I am a 70 year old Pennsylvania retiree. Got into surf fishing late but was a throw out and wait guy off the beach. Mainly OC NJ. Kind of disgusted. Wanting to increase my capabilities but need to drive from Pa to the beach. Great podcast guys!

Never did find out, it broke off. Probably a dog fish.
@FatDadFishing gotcha started following you today , all the 27 yrs living in lbi never fished ac but definitely like to link up & try it out for fluke sheepshead n tog .
give me a holler and maybe we can get out together. Jump in on the Live stream tonight at 8pm as well if you have time. Would be good to meet you through the chat.
Missed this last night (fell asleep early - the price of being old) - great conversation with a GREAT guy who is an absolute killer Captain and a better person I’m proud to call my friend.
changing directs on half hitch's definitely weekend the knot. by changing directions produces a smaller bend radius which is the cause of the week spot.
Late to the party but I’m watching the show now 💪🏾
Thanks guys- great show! A party boat party sounds great. Thank you Frank for always leading by example, very respectful and considerate of others.
