I have tried 6" in various scenarios, mainly as an attempt to a medium range and found it inefficient. I had better results with a 5” drone on a 5s lion pack than a 6” on a 6s lion pack. For long range a 7" is best, for medium range i use a 2fiddy

I have tested kiss ultra, betaflight and fettec quite a bit and concluded that betaflight flies best for me. You need a bit more work to tune it properly compared with the others but you have more control on the tune which in the end makes it fly better.

hi, not on this setup, i had the fatsharks with tbs fusion. Worth mentioning that i had screen rolls on sky04x but on standard rx modules, i am using the rapidfire without any issues. i ve got ratel/pheonix cameras on all my analog fpv stuff.

@@ridewithandrei I had screen rolls on my cobra x (also uses steadyview like 04x) with ratel cam. With Fusion and ratel it's less so but still there if I push the video link. I want to get a different cam that has no issues with Fusion.

@@ridewithandrei Maybe my ratel cam is busted because others have said theirs doesnt roll with Fusion. Also maybe I'm just pushing it harder

I can give you a Betaflight setup that won't do that.

it s a big deal if you fly agressive freestyle, you get more control on the faster link and i would being on 50mhz felt a lot laggier. if you do normal freestyle, not in tight proximity to things you do feel it but it s not affecting your flying. i just need to rembember to change it when i go for lr as i failsafe at 2,2 km consistently :)

LE: i have spent a couple of days only flying 50mhz in close proximity, you can adjust without any issues and feels a bit more floaty, not as direct but 100% flying it without issues. your muscle memory accounts for the extra slack :)

@@ridewithandrei ah thanks for the reply and that's good to know. There are so many factors unconsciously churning inside our analogue brains which adapts super well to deficiencies. Interestingly though, there are some builds that I have made that just feels great...meaning, 30 seconds into the first pack, I'm in the zone and flowing. Then there are some builds that take me a long time to get into the flow, if even. And then a whole spectrum of builds in between. I believe latency is a big factory in the grand scheme of things as well as a good tune, but that latency could be in so many different places besides just the control link. Interesting stuff.

@@daich indeed, i have massive issues trying to accomodate with a boxer radio, i ve always been on the tango, feels like i barely can fly :)

:)) most of the people use their legs to get back to the top, some lazy ones like me use an ebike or you can use a service if the trails are managed by someone and pay like 40£ a day for a full day of someone driving you up in a van.

@@ridewithandrei back in the day I would a mountain run in California. We had two cars and would leave one at the bottom and all jump into the other and drive an hour up a mountain and bomb down the trails for around 3 hours. The first time we did it, we left the keys for the bottom car in the top car and had to hitchhike up the mountain.
