The other comments are a bit confused on this, the Happy mask salesmans in Majoras mask is implied to be the same person in Castle town from Ocarina of Time, not a Termina varient of him. As he is shown to be able to teleport/disapear to other places in the ending cutscene of Majoras mask, thus being able to travel between the "parallel worlds" of Hyrule.

Feels to me like at some point LONG ago (c. winter 2014) the team's leadership realized making a game isn't, well, a game. They gave up, and just kept putting lipstick on the pig (i.e. finding an excuse for the rebranding, the trailer, the dev updates) the for their own resumes. Once they started benefitting from flaunting that experience and acquired their actual target jobs, they dumped the project altogether. Which, if is the case, would be wild to me, since if I were to hire any of them based on their experience with Oddity, they would be immediately rejected out of the sheer unprofessionalism they've displayed along the entire project.

I really hope this game comes out. I haven't finished any of the Mother games but from what little I've played of them, and what I know about them, I love the Mother series and I think they're beautiful works of art. There are a lot of great RPGs that have come out because of Mother and have left a huge impact and I hope one day we can say the same about Oddity. I've been following this project since it was first announced so it'd be great to one day finally see it in all its greatness.

I just played through nearly all of it and get neutral true and bad it was very good overall everything was good I’m horrible at games like these so I don’t know the 4th but this needs a lot more (if there is more yall make like this I’ll definitely try it out or if yall update this to have more)

Scope creep is so annoying. What it means for me is that as a dev, you have to temper realistically what can be achieved of your vision in a certain time and what you're realistically willing to sacrifice to meet that vision. "11:34 "The fact is, you're going to be able to think up ideas way quicker than you're ever going to be able to implement ideas." Holy snap, you just summed up what I've been thinking a lot of lately. I think this is why the ideas stage and planning is so important. Figure out what you REALLY want or most of it before actually trying to finalize any implementation as that will take so much longer to do. As scope creep occurs and new functionality and ideas come up, having to go back and scale your previous code and design is so much harder, messier, and prone to bugs and delays.

Honestly love the music, details and sprites, such a shame hope for the project seems to have died out after a decade of wait

Undertale Yellow demo came out years ago and were JUST now getting the full thing in about a week or 2

It's stupid to even expect this to come out, even Mother 3 which had a team of people who didn't know jack shit about making n64 games, was remade a few times, and eventually came out as a great GBA title. I won't put too much on this because the Mother 3 team obviously had the support of Nintendo and Brownie Brown to help them with good marketing even though the n64 version didn't come out. The game was remade about 5 times and even the span of the concept stage and gba release for Mother 3 was shorter than this project. I don't mean to sound harsh because I understand it is being made by fans who make no profit. However they just try to avoid a "release" and from the leaks that happened in the past, there is no progress. There is almost never any update on the progress of the game and keeping fans updated is key to keep fans interested. They clearly are trying to avoid the game and are playing with our heads up to this point by not giving clear answers and locking down their reddit. Up to this point I think Nintendo will have already released Mother 3 in the west before seeing this come to even a alpha test.

It was fine as long as it release next year. But if they plan to update it, could it be better to have 5 present characters until the end of the game, and also add one other lady character so that Meryl could not be the only lady in the team. So it would have 6 characters with only one temporary joined the team.

Still hoping that it would be finished in 2024.😊

I would like to see more mii fighter roles. One could use like a hammer or smth, and one could use a lance. I think itd be pretty cool.

I know this is hard to hear but I thunk ultimante is the perfect smash game. If they do anything else it wont EVER be as good as ultimante. Although I dont belive Nintendo will port it and I see them handing the series off to someone else and it going downhill for a decade before getting good again. Lile paper mario.

Characters that people actually want replacing characters like min min and byleth. Characters like goku, luffy and yes waluigi. As well as nerfs to steve and buffs to mid tiers

A new game, i want new mechanics

It sucks because there is a threshold to how much more you need to add to a smash brothers game for it not to seem just like an update and adding Waluigi only gets you most of the way there.

Definitely the port option, all the stages, trophies, assist characters, like 10 more characters, and maybe some more side moods and boom, sixty DOLLA game

Have characters from indie games like hollow knight and ori so it gives the cast more variety. As well as maybe add in the Big Three as the anime representative

I personally believe that a reboot is necessary like you said if they going to do a reboot they have to add something new to the mix redefine the mechanics add new moves something totally different I think less characters is in a bad thing either

Oh hears and idea super smash bros 3D sine. 90% of the original cast has games all in 3D that would be no problem
