That's one sexy revolver
В 38 сп есть такой???
There are Model 36s out there with 3-inch barrels. Heritage Arms just released their Roscoe revolver. Theres a 3-inch version of that which is much cheaper than the Smith and Wesson and looks nearly identical.
Yonder Oak. Good video. It is always fun to be out shooting. Good to be out handling the guns so we are ready when we might need one. I can relate to missing the target if you were to see any of my videos you would understand. Thanks for sharing and take care.
Just bought one . At a gun show and visited my old ammo vendor. Forty bucks a box. Think I will wait for a local auction
Is no one going to say something about this guy dry firing these?
He didn’t dry fire them.
I take it back, my bad. The 2nd bolt release got me.
Thank you
Trijicon MRO Federal Flight Control No1 Buck Improved Cyl choke 75 yds
The sks is sensitive to heat in grouping. You could see your shots "walking up" the target as you went. On a sled, elevation is not a "you" thing. It's a gun (and/or maybe ammo) thing. Adding a peep sight could help, but glass-bedding is apparently the bomb on an sks.
Save the squirrel 🐿️
Every American general in WWII , was issued one usually in .32 caliber. OSS and SOE , issued and used them. It was a point and shoot handgun that is why it has no real sites. See the movie KEY LARGO , with Bogart, to see how he just pointed it fast and secured hits at about fifteen feet range or less. For a movie he had the use of this gun right on. You should have cleaned and oiled the hundred year old gun before test firing it, just to be fair.
I did clean and oil it before the video. Thanks for watching!
@@YonderOak Sorry, it should work without a hitch . Bad magazine , old springs , old ammo, something is sabotaging one of the best firearms ever designed...
Too young to know what to do with the 120A
Explain yourself, Randy.
You made no sight adjustment
That is correct, yes.
There is one of these in very good condition, 1940's, at a local shop, asking, $1200 + tax. Nope
Yeah, no thanks.
I now have 4, a 71, a 75, and two rem Marlins. Love them. Still collecting them
First question before I ask all my questions: ARE YOU LEFT HANDED? Reason I ask because some phone video cameras reverse the image.
Yes! I’m left-handed. I shoot shotguns and iron sights left handed, but pistols right-handed. I’ve also trained myself to shoot scoped rifles right-handed.
@@YonderOak Good day. Ok, good deal. Just wondering because I was a bit confused about some of your procedures. For instance, you were hitting left and tapped the rear sight to the right. I thought you move your sight in the direction you are hitting in order to get the opposite effect. Maybe I’m thinking about something else.
@@marcoaguiar1131 If you were adjusting the front sight it would be opposite like that. But the rear sight gets adjusted the direction you want the round to go.
@@YonderOak Thank you for clarifying this. I knew I developed some sort of brain fart!
Pain to look at it...
Sorry I hurt you.
Future Farmers of America!
I have one of the older squirrel guns and I get stove pipes all the time, wonder why that happens so often.
From what I’ve heard, it has to do with that two-piece feed throat.
I'm a shotgun guy that's cool
Thanks for watching!
What a pretty old shotgun...I have my daddys 1890 Astro 12g. Its a Spanish shotgun that he bought in the 50's. Ive been eyeballing a 1886 Baker 12 gauge double barrel...They want a good amount for her. I sure love those old shotguns compared to the new ones they have such awesome character an well made.. Awesome video friend ...
Thanks for watching!
YO. Good video. Good shooting with that nice old gun. Thanks for sharing and take care.
Thanks for watching!
Imagine shooting paper shells in that thing.

I used a lazer on mine, got me in the ball park without a shot...
I have several model 94s. One in .35 Remington and one in 32 Win Special and one in 30-30. All have no issues witth this ammo. Two are pre 64 and one is 1973 (Olin Corp) You might want to have a bowl of Wheaties every morning or join a gym or clean your magazine or just stop whining. Your "testing" demonstration is super non-scientific and subjective and subject to you making the outcome to your desires. FUDD
Need to take a fine bead instead of course
Not sure how that would help, Randy.
Gun Broker is usually not the place to find bargains but sometimes you can find a decent deal if you consistently check over a week or two. I found a 1966 vintage Type 56 in good condition that was still in cosmoline from importation there for $479 (plus shipping, tax and $25 transfer fee). Other than scoring one at a pawn shop where you can still find them for $400, that about as good as it gets. Mine is in perfect mechanical shape with a vg bore - the wood shows a lot of wear but I think that gives it character. I think this came from Albania. Look for one with it's bayonet and don't forget to get a chest rig and at least 20 stripper clips in case of zombie apocalypse. If you want to install optics like a red dot there are no-gunsmithing mounts that replace the rear sight and don't permanently alter the carbine. A 2 MOA red dot would be a good match for an SKS. While it will be deadly well beyond, I would recommend staying at 150 yards and closer for shots to get clean kill on a white tail.
There were many variants, even on the (pressed) checkering and type of wood (birchwood, walnut and laminate). To have one of each variant you'd probably have to own 5 or 6, if not more. But the things they seemed to have in common was the micro groove barrels, tubular feeds and alloy frames. Very nice little guns and very accurate shooters,
100 yd gun? Try 200.mune shoots 4 inch troops at 200 yd
That’s awesome! You should upload a video of it, user.
My dad owned one and he has pass it down to me, the thing hasnt been clean since he bought it use, in my possession of today i had replace most part and retune most springs, parts are hard to come by lol so far i had mine sighted at 20 yard, grouping is quarter size, has a tasco scope, and all she eats is cci mini mag, other ammo it will throw a fit, but i wouldnt replace the marlin model 60 with any other 22
I have a use 90 model, my ole man had pass it down to me and boy..part is hard to come by, so far the feed throat is replace and spring rework, just need a new trigger guard, other then that its a damn accurate gun, quarter size grouping at 20 yard as i encounter all my small game
A gun is only as accurate as the shooter can be my model 60 is Very spot on at 50 or 100 yards with scope dialed in.
Well… that’s not always true. Every gun is different and can prefer different ammo.
typical gun crazy american
Welcome back
Charter Arms is a superior design with the lack of side plate, triple lock up and pin design. Buy a new model, NOT a Charco or Charter 2000 era gun. I carry an undercover .38 with confidence and load with wadcutters.
for years those were 60 bucks locally kick myself for not getting one. I have a nylon 66 an d 10 22 and at one time had a single shot so i never got a mdl 60 still on the bucket list lol I like the squirrel model as well
I have a 100-year-old S&W hand ejector in .32 S&W Long and it's a joy to shoot. Bought a case of .32 wadcutters. Also own a Ruger LCR snubby that shoots .32 shorts, .32 longs, .32 magnums and .327 magnums. Very versatile caliber.
How do you fix the rifle not ejecting the spent shell?
This one only didn’t eject them due to the powder charge being so low on the Queits. I had to hand cycle those.
I have a Marlin model 99 that looks identical to these model 60s. The only difference I have seen comparing it to your video is my bolt doesn't lock open.
Seems inaccurate. Shoots groups like a shotgun. Better be able to shoot a 2 inch group at worst to be useful
I guarantee you it’s my shooting and not the rifle.
I will also be buying a Browning bl-22 befre they ban those too and Yes dems are banning ALL tube fed rifles in my state even Lever guns that hold over 10 rounds even NY isnt that nuts my state is run by Psychopaths and why Im looking to move elsewhere .
my state wants to ban those by August the Morons are classifying them as an " assault weapon " Im buying 2 before August n they will Not be taking them ...Id like to find the longer one 1st but pretty sure I will end up with the new model 1st because they are in every store as of now . That was my 1st 22 in 1980 wish I still had it
That’s insane. Wow
@@YonderOak i decided on a freedom ordinance ar-9 pistol hahahaha
Love the stainless trigger and hammer. The black hammers and triggers look like crap.
I have the 4th variant. Short tube. Long barrel. It Has the safety Medallion on stock.
I have a modern production one in 380. it's my ccw and t is just as easy to carry today as it was then. People say it's too big but with the 32 and 380 it requires a longer barrell length to get decent ballistics. Modern pocket guns with 2.5 inch barrels aren't getting anywhere near the ballistics advertised on the ammo box. For me, it's still the perfect carry gun
Awsome
2:12 birch I think
Question for anyone: I picked up a 1951 Winchester 94. It’s in beautiful condition. Original iron sights. At 50 yards I am dead on center, perfect. But I’m about 6” high. I’ve adjusted my buckhorn as far as it will go and that’s it. The front sight is fixed and hooded. Barrel is almost perfect the guy who had it hardly used it. He passed and his kids sold it. I really don’t want to put a scope or change the original sights. No matter what I do I can’t get it to drop. Tried three different ammos, same. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
What kind of bead are you taking at 50 yrds ? Unless you already have done this try taking a fine bead in the bottom of the notch instead of a medium or full bead. Could maybe remove the ramp from the buckhorn rear sight completely and let it rest right on the barrel . Don't loose it. Generally to lower your point of impact you would have a slightly taller front sight installed . But that rifle today being a pre 64 is worth a lot of money and you really should keep it original .
@@ianmccutcheon6319 thanks. Ya, I really don’t want to alter it in anyway. I’ve tried it without the ramp and still high. Couple guys told me take the ramp out and use a hammer to flatten it out against the barrel. I’m like ahhhh no! SMH. Unfortunately there are zero gunsmiths around me, nearest one is 150 miles away. I really appreciate the comment. If you think of anything else let me know. Other than it being high, it is dead in center. I just don’t have experience with the old 30/30s and don’t want to do anything that would mess it up. Thanks again. PS: I’ve dropped my bead until I almost can’t see it and I’m still 5-6” high.
@@rburrows7786 What kind of ammunition are you shooting ? This could make a difference. Is it new ammo or old stuff ? Is it factory or reloaded ? What grain of bullet ? Also are you perhaps resting the barrel itself on something when you shoot . If the barrel itself is directly against something hard it can cause it to jump when fired. Cheers
@@ianmccutcheon6319 I’ve used both 150/170 grain. Winchester, Federal and Remington. All new. I have a rifle sled I use for sighting in all my rifles. Once it’s set and adjusted it doesn’t move. I’ve been shooting for 50 years so I know a few things etc. Just I e never had set iron sights off this much? Doesn’t matter which ammo I use, all high? My Marlin 30/30 same sights no problem, my 9422 same thing no problem. I finally get my hands on an old Winchester and I’m stumped? Appreciate the help and input. I’ve even bought a laser bore sight thinking maybe the barrel etc, but it’s right on the $$. I’m wondering if the sights were just always like this from the factory etc? I just don’t want to start screwing around with the front post and then find out I messed it up and so forth. Rifle is beautiful. Wish I could post pics on here might help
@@rburrows7786 You kind of have me stumped too . How does it print at a hundred yards ? Those Winchesters were set up to shoot dead on at 100 yards with the ramp at the third notch . That way you had the option to lower the elevation if required. I mean 2 to 4 inches high at 50 yards is one thing but it should not shoot 5 to 6 when on the lowest notch. What notch was the ramp set at when you first got it. ? If it was on the third notch and you lowered it all the way down to the first and even took it right out that should have made a huge change. The fact that it did nothing is strange especially when using new modern factory cartridges.
