Sex Madness- Movie Forbidden in the 30s, Most controversial film of 1930's
This is a typical sex exploitation film from the early 1930s - complete with wild parties, sex out of wedlock, lesbianism, etc. A chorus girl's exposure to the "casting couch" also exposes her to syphilis.
Exploitation filmmakers hoped to capitalize on the taboo subjects of venereal disease, sex before marriage, lesbianism, etc. while skirting the Motion Picture Production Code of 1930 which forbade a film from containing such content. Films like this would tour the United States for years - mostly being shown in rundown, skid row theaters. This film has been re-edited and re-titled ("Human Wreckage", "They Must Be Told", "Trial Marriage", "About Trial Marriage") many times to attract the same audience to film, to take advantage of a taboo subject which may have gotten press recently or to appease local censors who disapproved of the film's content.

If you’re searching for a really good movie, this is it. It should score much higher on the powers that be rating sites. Context: In the 1970s CIA “secrets” were coming out. This along with the highest levels of government acting like radically poor imitations of James Bond had the populace disgusted with the whole Cold War, anything goes, government agents are always right scenario. The real CIA agents of the time deserved to be made fun of. Some CIA types, not just American, also saved the world, as movies made since then have documented, like the movie The Angel, 2018.

My favourite actors , Glenda can do this and Elizabetu I, and Matthau with his acting and humour has saved my sanity so many times. Love them both!

HEY - Colonel Potter from MASH
This is more like Harry Morgans' Officer Bill Gannon days from the series Dragnet 1967-'70...Much younger looking face than when he played Colonel Potter. Although he did age very well. But you may not know the Dragnet series, like I do being that I was alive when it was newly broadcast.
I won't say this is a bad film but it never quite gets off the ground, however it's well worth watching just to see Carol Landis, the most beautiful cop in filmdom. My favorite film with Allyn Joslyn, playing a very funny role. is in a Jack Benny film titled, "The Horn Blows at Midnight" in which an Angel (Jack) is sent from heaven to blow a trumpet at midnight which will end the world. (how's that for humor?) Allyn Joslyn plays a 1st class fallen angel, along with a superb cast.

Be aware the sound drops out near the end during a chase but only for a minute. you don't miss anything.
