A few photos from an evening stroll with my family along the river roach by Stambridge, UK. I used my Fuji XT4 with a 7artisans 25mm f1.8 lens that I picked up a few years ago for £50. I haven't used it in ages but found it when having a spring clean and remembered I always liked the soft, filmy vibes this cheap lens provides. The price is made in Japan vs. made in China and some significant feature and build quality differences. We should be asking things like, what conditions are the employees who make the Chinese lenses working under vs. the made in Japan lens. Not to mention durability, longevity and fit and finish (e.g. having painted markings vs. etched). You're also completely ignoring the fact that Voigtlander lenses have contacts to communicate with the body while the Chinese lenses don't. Simply saying, "this is too much" is a cop out and does a disservice to the community who is then incentivized to buy cheaply made goods that don't last and often utilize exploitative labour.

Thank you! 😊
You have been turned on to something special. I come from a film background as a photographer. And the 5D classic is the digital camera that gave me enough bravery to make the leap. I still own three since Canon will no longer service them. I intend to cannibalize for parts as long as is possible. Anyway, I enjoyed your video.
Why doesn't this have more views
Beautiful photos. I've got an 1100D that takes some really good pics, plus a 90D which I love. Considering buying a 5D, nice video.
Go for it!
Wonderful tips!!!
Are you doing lightroom edit or using a film simulation? If a film simulation can you share it with us? :)

Hey Tom, can we not buy the presets anymore? The link seems to be broken😭
Hi Kobe, try again it should work fine now! Thanks.
@ thank you! Love your work!
Great photos, honest review. The Voigtlander is lovable, but sadly quite overpriced in today's market. BTW, love the fact that your daughter doesn't smile every time her photo is taken.
Thanks a lot. Inspiring and very helpful!
What recipes did you use
i feel shame for myself using a sony a6000 cant get photos like these or not using it very well. It's basically camera from way way long time ago from 2005 wihtout any features on it like a6000 but you nailed it in every single photos in here so sick af
Hi Tom How do you process FP4 (ISO 100) & HP5 (ISO 400) ?
@@michaeltaylor3835 hi micheal. I usually rate fp4 and either 100 of 200 for extra contrast. HP5 I rate at 400 or 800 for extra contrast and grain etc. I develop with ilfosol 3
@@Tom-Humble Thanks Tom. Ilfosol is a good all round developer:) Xtol is getting rave reviews with FP4/HP5. HC110 Dil B will give more contrast than Ilfosol if needed ;)
@@michaeltaylor3835 thanks!
Love the vibe. Feels old fitting the camera. Please enlighten us the work behind the film. What did you film with for example.

Hello Mr. Humble. Just checking in to see how you’re getting along. My son is just past 10 months. I put aside making pictures for almost a year. There just wasn’t any time with work, family commitments and taking care of a 4 year old and an infant. Seeing my son’s smile made me purchase a 5 roll box of Portra 160 a month ago and it has spurred me to start making pictures again. So much so that i am thinking of the M11-D. You’ve lost considerable weight. I hope the inimitable Mrs. Humble is worried about you and will take appropriate steps. Take care Tom.
Good to hear you’ve found the inspiration to pick up a camera again. I’ve been a bit busy myself recently with a new job and moving home. Haven’t had much time for any personal work. I went vegan a few years ago and the weight loss is simply down to no meat and dairy. Trust me though I still put food away and I’m as healthy as an ox 💪 Love to you and the family and glad you’re doing well.
Great video!!! Excellent work
@@arielq.6209 thanks!
Amé este video
I use 5D and 5D2, they have everything you need for photography. Great photos, wonderful family.
Are you sure you blow your highlights with film? Which film? Slide film? Because if your using hp5 you can get away with 5 stops of overexposure easily and at 2 of under similar with tri-x or many b&w film similiar for most of color negatives even better if you use movie film such as vision 3. This Canon 5d is a beautiful digital camera with much personality thats where similarities end when comparing it to film.

Wish we did this earlier, I shoot with a fuji xt2 love the fuji film simuilations i find the prints looks great.I have a question the photos where it looks like your doing a selfie with your wife and some with the kids what camera and lens did you use 5:53 mark with all of you in the shot?hope to hear back, all the best to you and your family
I think that was taken with one of the x100 series cameras with the wide angle conversion lens on it.
@@Tom-Humble thanks my friend, I'm think that's like a 18mm on fuji system? honestly the photos look great, Priceless,
Great video. What are you using for 8mm movie camera please or was that just an effect you made?
It’s from a film overlay pack by Ezra cohen
Hello Tom, very nice, I like every one of you shots. I have to ask, of the two 135 lenses you used witch do you prefer? I ask for a reason. I am at this very moment considering buying a 135. I am a retried portrait photographer. I have not shot film for more than twenty years and never on large format.
I’m actually prefer the Fuji lens as it’s a touch sharper and has betting coating to deal with flaring etc.
@@Tom-Humble Thank you Tom for the prompt reply. ordering the fujinon today. I spent hours Friday and Saturday watching youtube videos of portrait photographers. Yours was the only one worth watching. I subscribed.

How did you protect it from water ? Is there a case? Thanks
Thank you for this great video sir. I really did enjoy it. Plus, I loved those photos! I can't wait to go full speed ahead with my medium format camera, which I finally got. Take care and God Bless you and your family. Mr. Roger
I bought this camera in perfect condition almost 3 years ago and honestly out of all my 19 cameras I've got in my dry-box this one produces the best looking images in my arsenal. Skin colour and the grain looks so amazing in this camera.
Yeah same. I’ve got soo many cameras and yet (at the moment anyway) I tend to always grab the 5D as the images are just so great straight out of camera and editing the files is effortless.
How do you develop them I have never used film
I have a very similar setup, although I have a 1/4 mist filter (which may be a bit heavy. I may go for a 1/8). I tend to use a bit of grain in my recipes as well. I see the X100V as a camera for life and a camera for daily carry. The biggest difference between our cameras is that I use a silicon "wrap" on mine. It protects it from knocks and scratches. I use them on several cameras. I hate those scratches on the base of cameras, after you put them down on a stone wall or whatever.
Lovely video. These types of videos are sooooo nice. We learn, we make better purchasing decisions, we commune and enjoy photography and nice music. Well done Tom.
@ 2.00🤦
Hey, amazing photos! I especially like shot 6. I've scrolled quite a bit down in the comment section and haven't seen anyone mentioning it... The woman in shot #7 is Bianca Balti, an Italian top model from the '00s 😃
The quality of the photos are excellent...but you should get your money back on the mo;del. Pros usually have more than one facial expression.
Great photos, not sure how much is metering and how much might be darkroom work, but the final results look amazing
Hey Tom, great video, i wondering between d7100 and 5Di, after this i'll choose the classic one for learning photography. I wonder which lens you use for shooting on this video. Thank you.
The worst things about the camera i guess is that its mad expensive
I'm thinking of getting this lens. Right now I'm using my newly purchased Voigtlander Super Wide Heliar 15mm f4.5 (Leica thread mount) on my Fuji X-T3, and I just thought how amazing it would be if they made a native Fuji X version of that. :D
Nice Ektar looking reds in your photos! :D
nice video. I suppose the images were processed, these are not out of camera jpegs, right?
