It is still very much alive - it is still pre-alpha - they were stress testing the servers this weekend - ran smooth - no maps or hand holding, but it is hard to tell what is intentional and what was empty/missing just due to where they are in development. I killed large rats and bats in the newb yard, found my trainer and found I didn't have enough money to buy spells, but mostly died to decaying skeletons.

Well in the past I would have said that ISBoxer is cool because it doesn't automate - however, the new Origins server may be banning people for broadcasting - there are conflicting reports in discord and on forums - Daybreak's official line is "no 3rd party software' - so if you want to be safe - I'd stay away from this at least on Origins/Anashti-Sul and be aware of the risks on live.

And thanks - pinning this because this vid is getting a lot of hits with the server out - people should know the risk and I for one am not using ISBoxer on Anashti-Sul.

@@zorgonox8479 it’s good that your given an honest opinion on the matter as like me id love to do it but it’s a personal choice if it’s worth the account risk. Ofc some people will definitely love this video and go for it 👍

Are you sure you have ISBoxer configured for the origins version of the game? It may be trying to load a live install instead of your origins install - that's my only idea - this may be a isboxer discord question unfortunately - I havent loaded it up on origins - so there may be quirks I haven't run into.

this one's relative success has surprised even me. I initially just made it for my guild because we were considering trying it and I wanted to throw as basic a gist as possible. Glad it helped.

I am going to make a toon on the TLE coming out and will likely do some videos then. Glad it's still helping.

Generally, from the wizard, I click a few boxes to enable overlays for 1-=, alt 1 - =, shift 1 - = and ctrl 1 - =. That gives me 4 individual bars. I then map each of those 1 - =, alt 1 - =, etc. in game to my open hotbars. Then I drag the appropriate bar to where it belongs. You can also choose to have those broadcast without the overlay, so if you just want to use hotkeys you can.....I hope I understood your issue, and I hope my answer makes sense.

@@zorgonox8479 it makes sense but I tried this and still wouldn't work. but maybe I didn't map correctly? that might be where I'm lacking knowledge. I did that, put the overlay on, still wouldn't click through. how to I make it broadcast w/o the overlay?

@@zorgonox8479 oh hey now there's this weird graphic on the overlay that has 3 humanoid figures like on a bathroom door sign and a red line connecting them. what is that? wasn't there before. any idea how to remove it?

@@zorgonox8479 yeah and I'm still not seeing it. Did a keymap, looked at another video, still nothing. It's an alt bar. I click and/or hold alt and nothing happens

Yeah; this one is especially bad - so sorry; trying to get better, I think the more recent ones are okay. I would have re-posted this one, but since it only works on test, there didn't seem to be much point.

@ox8479 there used to be a bug using streamlabs causing that. After I installed steelseries, auto upgrades your audio and everything sounds great. Free software. Great videos though, I was moving the game to hear the videos, really helped as a new player. 👍😎

Seems that in EQ2 the philosophy is a mentor can help get you to the end game faster rather than join you for on-level content; if you want to experience the zones and leveling experience as originally intended, it is best to start on a TLP like Varsoon so you don't out level the quests and gear, though Varsoon is relatively far along now, so I'd wait for the next one - they usually come out in the spring, so a few more months.

If you mean your monitor's default, you could either input those numbers into the /viewport command or change the resolution from the options on the eq button.

The funny thing is that it isn't available on the TLE, Varsoon, but I'm so used to fast travel, that every time I open the map on Varsoon I get mad realizing I have to run.

Yes, if all instances are on the same computer - in fact they have to be. It doesn't work between different pcs - so not on TLPs except Rizlona and Vaniki.

I think they are working on it. Added the 64 bit, just added the UI engine and now DX11 is in the works. Hopefully true widescreen happens sooner rather than later.

I'm planning on making one this week in fact! Maybe even by Sunday.

Not to mention that you can never predict the future, so multi-core processing wasn't really in their thinking if my understanding is correct, so you still have some issues to this day on a mid-range tower because it wasn't built with todays processors or gpu's in mind.

@@zorgonox8479 this is one big area that WoW outplayed them. EQ2 lost me as a paying customer pretty quickly. Art design > technical fidelity. Though I can’t blame the devs back then for not knowing that. I CAN call them out for a pretty obvious poor design choice of “build it and it will eventually work”. Not a good business decision.

Beneath the checkbox for basic broadcasting 1 through =, and beneath the row with 3 checkboxes for alt, ctrl and shift, there is a checkbox for Enable Action Bar - I often miss it when I'm creating a new layout. Create a new layout and see if that is the issue; if not, I'd go to IS boxer's discord and see if folks there can help you troubleshoot.

I think you would be better served by going to the redguides videos on that stuff; it and their forums is what got me through it. Also know that there is some upcoming work being done to mq2 due to the UI engine upgrades Daybreak is implementing. I doubt that will have an effect on an install now - but there may be some down time coming up; currently the eq test server is without redguides mq2 support from my understanding.

That's a good idea; it may take me a bit - real life and all, but I use the setup you are talking about with anything greater than 3 toons. Keep in mind that if you do toons on the side, some of the click-through video effects I use here won't work the same.
