Love the dog
People are way too defensive about bass bc it’s a sport fish. You pull one bass out of the water and suddenly you’re a poacher lol. Me personally I don’t eat them but if I see someone struggling for dinner I’ll offer it up. Bass are plentiful.
It might seem like a good option but it is Flimsy and therefore moves a lot affecting the readings, and more importantly it is brittle so it breaks as soon as it hits anything solid. I have had 2 of these and both broke within a month of me using it twice a week on my kayak. Definitely avoid. you would be better served with a DIY PVC mount.
These things are everywhere on the public land I hunt and it pisses me off because these people are just leaving them behind. If you’re someone that uses these things or tampons or whatever that’s fine but TAKE THEM WITH YOU WHEN YOU LEAVE, or when you’re done hunting that area or the season has ended. STOP LEAVING THEM BEHIND!!! BE AN ETHICAL & RESPONSIBLE HUNTER!!!
Thanks for sharing these boots with your viewers. They look and sound like some high quality boots but there’s no way I’d ever pay that much ($300) for some rubber boots especially when I can buy some good quality ones from Hisea that will last several years (as long as you take good care of them) for roughly $70. I’ve got a pair I bought last year that I’ve put some SERIOUS MILES on during deer and turkey season here in the mountains of North Georgia and I don’t have any doubts about them making it through a few more seasons. I’d also check out TideWe’s boots they’re roughly the same price as the Hiseas.
Just ordered my pioneers. Gonna put the miles on them this fall
Pioneer actually has a cotton lining instead of neoprene. Allows the boots to be a little more breathable than neoprene.
Thanks for for these videos you are sharing very helpful information hope to see more soon
Just picked this up, and realized you have to MAKE it work for larger transducers, like the one I have, and like the one you have in the video... I'm probably gonna return it, because although I can see that you made it work, it clamps on the teeth of the transducer clamp that bolts directly to these larger transducers, and I can foresee that wearing out over time... Guess I'm just gonna have to fork out the extra $30 bucks and get the YakAttack Switchblade...
Who wants wet feet ? I bought a lightweight kayak, influenced by "The Hunting Public" here on y/t. I follow Dan too.
Thanks for putting measurements and what you used in comments . So many people are posing projects and give you no measurements or supplies used thanks
Glad you are back!
Is that why deer chill in the woodlines by roads?
Nice boots but even I wont pay that price. Quality is key but these are out of my income bracket.
I have not been able to find a boot that’s waterproof, lightweight, durable and comfortable. My lacrosse aerohead sports lasted 2 seasons until they got a hole I have a nice pair of quatro sport rubber boots but they aren’t light.
All I hear is a bunch of yapping and no real good information. 👎
shimano is good too ive heard
This was really good, thanks.
I love it and I'm about to buy one tomorrow morning. I want to use it for duck hunting in rivers or ponds. I just wanted to get more assurance that it will work for duck hunting. Will the installed factory seat be removed and replaced with a different seat? Also, please send the information on the seat that you installed on it. Thank you very much...
Awesome video bro! Thanks for the idea, gonna do this to my canoe, I already have the Minnesota 55!
Thanks for the information about rivers this will help a lot
What is your seat that you put on top of the existing seat?
Totally agree!
Get a throttle extension and either enjoy the sufferfest kneeling in the middle or enjoy the high center of gravity with a camp chair. Lithium ftw.
I don't know why eating bass is controversial. You never have this argument about walleye, which is arguably a better sport fish.
They came out with light reel spinning combo looks good
How should go about finding beds I hunt in hardwoods in northern Wisconsin and it’s mostly small ridges and only places I see rubs on the 2 rut logging roads and there all along the side of the road and in the thickets off the road 200 yards only time I have seen beds was up on a ridge looking down on the road
Bout to do this you are awesome thank you.
Great build!! Thanks for sharing
Kill that terrible noise
Good vid
Thank you
thank you this is the topic i needed
What size bolts you use
For anyone else wondering this I used #10 1/2 inch screws
Im a catch and release fisherman and im about to start doing catch and cooks on tournament days!
I had a bass eat my bait deep and die yesterday. I had him aside as i was gonna take him home to eat(would have been my first time). A boy asked if i was gonna keep him and i explained he died as i unhooked so i was planning on taking him home but wasnt necessarily fishing to take home. He took the 3/4 lbs fish home to eat with his dad. Hope they enjoyed it!
You gotta be careful thinking saddles are the cure all!!!! Saddles one are a total different shooting experience with a bow!!!!! I had all kinds of issues getting proper tech at first. A bunch of practice and now it’s comfortable. A stand everyone can shoot out of fairly quickly!!!! As far as lighter that’s marginal really. The weight compared to a midrange loc on is only a few pounds and that weight can be distributed so well in a really good pack. The setup for me is easier with a stand since a saddle has more “stuff” needed to be setup. Stands have bow hangers that can be attached to stand, backpack and gear hangers also can be hung of stand too. Saddles you have to have separate things for this. Saddles can be more comfortable once adjusted correctly for me anyways with a back band and tethers/bridges setup right. Now for me saddle 100% of the time while gun hunting and I can’t find a draw back to it. For bow hunting saddle with compound, loc on with trad bow. I find myself using my loc on in hybrid mode most now. I’ve hung my go to climber in the garage and don’t have a real use for it anymore. So limited in trees with it and both saddles and small loc ons trees are almost unlimited especially in hybrid mode I haven’t found one I can’t make work yet within reason. Now all that being said this is using a “small/micro” loc on like an XOP retrograde, LWCG .5/.75, Novix Helo or for me a modified LocOn WindWalker. If your using a standard sized loc on stand well walking in and out is gonna be less convenient. Then if saddle is what you want Practice, Practice, Practice!!!!!!
I have the old style Royalex Old Town Pack canoe which is around 20 lbs lighter than this model although otherwise essentially the same boat. I've never attempted to load a dead deer into it but I'm going to suggest that you make sure your life insurance is paid up before you do. This boat was never designed to carry that much weight up forward and a decent sized buck plus your weight located just abit behind dead center is going to result in a pretty unwieldy canoe.
Battery works great in an ammo box that you can drill holes through to protect it from water and set it down in your dry storage
Just got into hunting at 57 years old. I will binge watch your content.
I like that canoe because it’s high enough to protect you from alligators or crocs somewhat and also bull shark infestation now even into waters that you wouldn’t think a bull shark would get into skinny water
How do you connect the transducer to Scotty 141? Any accessories?
I keep everything I fish, freshwater or salt. Unless it’s illegal to keep or genuinely not eatable. I could care less what others think or say. I’m there to enjoy my day, I’m not there to make the haters happy.
I would probably have to raise the seat. That looks too low to get your feet and legs under.
I’m going to New Hampshire soon for wild brook trout fishing going to use this if they are not biting dry flies can I still use this technique on nymphs and still have success? Also what size rapala you recommend should I go same size as you that you are using in the video or smaller?
👏 👏 👏 👏 thank you so much!
Quest canyon 100 selling for 179.99 at dicks sporting good right now. One of the best kayaks out there that can easily be modified to hang with the high end kayaks. I bought 2 and couldn't me more happier. This past weekend it was almost 100 degrees but my wife and I were about 100 yards from shore hidden between the top part of a 60 ft tree that's buried in the lake. We had complete cover and had our own special view of the lake. It was spectacular. I love kayaking and can't wait to make small modifications. Thanks for sharing your hard work and ideas! 🤝

Yuh, but you left out the part about price...bring an oxygen bottle when you go to their catalog just in case you pass out!
@@boatman222345 Agreed. We can only dream.
Great video great content couldn't be any better thanks
I've decided to go ahead and get me my dream canoe the Sportsman Discovery solo 119 and I can add the bracket/mount and add 30 lb. thrust troll motor for getting back up river after my 2 or 3 hour on ground adventure !! It's boat full of already built in features that I like right from the start but it's also a pricey investment that will last me a lifetime at 62 wanting to get on water for river and lake near my home within 5 min to 15 min. drive is all !!!
