W. Stenhammar - Impromptu
Very lovely piece, but how unfortunate that Stenhammar has so little work for piano.

John Field - Nocturne In C Major H.60
มุมมอง 4596 ปีที่แล้ว
One of my favorite nocturnes in general, it's so gentle, a character reinforced by it's tonality and soft transitions, I love it. The part at 4:33 is so beautiful that I find myself enchanted just playing it. Once again I used the Steingraeber E-272 model from Pianoteq.

Hello! After a thousand years I finally post a new piece :P I'm sorry for the lack of activity, I want to try to be a bit more consistent in the future. Also I took it as an excuse to try the new Pianoteq model: Steingraeber E-272(ended up liking it a lot) This piece is from the 4th suite of chants Op.67, I hope you like it as much as I do.

Alkan - Nocturne in B Major Op. 22
มุมมอง 2K7 ปีที่แล้ว
A really poetic piece, not virtuosic like his other pieces, but one of the most beautiful, and personally one of my favorite shorter works of the piano repertoire, especially the middle section, the melodic line just flows so smoothly with the lush harmonies. Very captivating. Played using Pianoteq Grotrian.
Alexander Scriabin - Valse Op.1
มุมมอง 2.9K7 ปีที่แล้ว
The first work published from Scriabin, it clearly demonstrates the influence from Chopin, but even from this early, he shows his preferrence for the augmented dominant and lush harmonies, that differentiate his language from other romantic composers of the era. Played through the Grotrian piano model for Pianoteq.

idk... why but very very boring piece (only listened to 1st mvt due to boreness though.) Its just to relying on modulating folk melodies. cant really feel anything empty a little bit. i prefer his piano sonatas more. his piano sonatas were great, full of vivid life (very russian ) his skazski s too

It's very static compared to his piano sonatas, but I like that. I find this work to be dreamy, tranquil, lonely. But I don't get why it's called Epica.

Fantastic performance. This piece is probably rarely heard any more and such a loss for those who like Grainger. It has moments of technical difficulty and one has to work out the fingering slowly and then put it all together. Wonderful tune played so well. Excellent.

Wow! "Epica" is the word! This is the first time I've really followed this piece - great to have the score! - like all Medtner, so dense with ideas! Medtner's music is challenging to both listener and performer - but always worth the effort.
