@@JohnDoe-jv5dd I agree it is huge, it’s classed as a back packing tent because it comes in 2 bags and can be carried by 2 people making the load lighter. As it’s a 3 man tent it’s not really designed to be carried by one person. Saying that have carried it myself with all my kit, was hard work but ok over 5-8 miles depending on the terrain. I only use this now for short distances. Have 2 and 1 man tents for more challenging hikes.

@sonofapitch6238 thanks for the reply. I usually camp with smaller people, and I don't like to put too much load on them as they are usually unexperienced. I find 2 people tents are usually one and a half people tents with no gear inside so I often look at 3 person tents but still undecided on this one

@@JohnDoe-jv5dd the coyote 3 was the first tent I bought when I started wild camping, like you said I found that it was big enough for me and all my kit comfortably fitted into the vestibule area. However I have found it too big for me since I bought several lightweight and ultra lightweight tents. I’ve now adjusted to using a 2 man tent and getting all my kit in with me as I have streamlined the kit i now bring.

@@brethren4life152 i really like the coyote 3 I have not used a jackel 3 as much, the only issue I had with the coyote 3 was breaking a pole they are really stiff to bend at first.

The cheapest place will probably be go outdoors as OEX is there brand. Vango, one Tigris are also brands that I own and would recommend and they both do a similar tent to the coyote 3.

@@danielhow2461 always bury my turds pal never leave land mines, the woods by there are shocking for people littering with bog roll and people trying to cut down live trees for firewood. One of the reasons I haven’t been back there, it’s easy access so it can attract the wrong type of people, rather go a bit further off the beaten path and somewhere that hasn’t been abused 😂

It’s pretty remote up there the only people you same see are bailiffs checking on permits of people fishing or using the reservoir. Never had any trouble up there as long as you leave it as you found it no one will know or complain . Cheers for watching the video!

@@stephenwilliams3660 mate it’s easier said that done but just try it the worst that can happen is you spook yourself a bit hearing things and pack up, either way no harm done, nature is full of noise especially in the dark where the sound travels more.

I would check eBay possibly Im know they stock them in go outdoors in the UK not sure if they ship to the US though. Polmoly now do a tent very similar think it’s a hot tent too.

Tunnel tent wise, OEX have the jackel 3 and coyote 3, vango have the scarfel 300 and 300+, nature hike have a 3 person tunnel tent all within budget. I’ve used all 3 brands and they are all good quality some are on the heavy side for back packing
