In my case, the seat hinge seized up with rust, the result of an extended roof leak. So I inserted a 2x4 and pried open the seat while pulling the latch release. The tell tale sign was that the seat back rest had absolutely no play. The smaller seat that is working normally has a very tiny amount of movement when the latch release is is not pulled.

We didn't know about the strap on the side thank you! But our single seat is the side that won't unfold...is that different from the other side as far as the mechanism goes?

Hv a 2008 Honda Odyssey, hv same issue but with the left 3rd row see. (Single seat) The side strap doesnt work either. Ready to trade car in & now this. Thanks for the video tho.

Did installing the reverse pitch prop fix the pulling to one side? My left motor audibly sounds much weaker than the right motor.

Hi. This looks like a great fix, but my seat is locked in the down position. The strap won’t work so I can’t unlock it to lift the seat to fix it. Any suggestions?

So that’s great, but how do you lift the seat to get to the front to fix it? The problem is, the seat is locked in the down position.

Both of my strap doesn't work The seat still stuck

Now I know how to access it! TY! But I have a different problem. My seat won't engage to go into the cargo area. The handle broke also since the van is older . So I need to replace the handle and try to see what is loose since it won't engage with the handle to flip it into the cargo area.

I can't get them up no matter what I try , neither strap releases them , any one k w else to do?
