Hello bro sick video, i just wanted to ask since ive had the same issue with my 03 r50 cooper. It showed the abs light on and the parking brake light is also stuck on. The speedometer also isnt working anymore. Could it be simply just the abs sensors just like what you have done on the video?

The reason it'll be wet in that airfilter housing is because of the bonnet vents. That bonnet is normally only fitted to the RS turbo.

Any other ways to do this? I live in germany and cops know about this at least in my area they do. So they make you turn on the car in a police control and check if it lights up, if it does they would impound the car... I somehow need a button but just in the cabin instead of the trunk.

Not sure if this information is useful for you but in my home country (Brazil) the XR3 was manufactured with totally different engines. First it came equipped with a Ford CHT engine (not CVH like in yours). The CHT engine was an old Gordini/Renault 4-cylinder with camshaft in the block and pushrods (OHV). Then in the late 80s Ford and VW formed a joint venture called Autolatina and Ford ditched its own engines and started equipping the XR3 with an overhead 8-valve, 1.8-liter, VW engine. It's quite bizarre to open the hood from Fords from that era and see "Audi/VW" markings all over it. Granted, the VW engine was so much better than the ancient Ford CHT. Also, another curiosity, back then just like all other cars manufactured in Brazil, the XR3 had two choices of engine: gasoline and ethanol.
