In the right mood, I enjoy the slower books like Diamond Eye, so hopefully I will like Briar Club. I am reading it next. I also have Lilac Girls and should read that one in the spring. I definitely respect your commitment to the thick novels when you do decide to conquer them!

I would recommend The Giver of Stars by Jojo Moyes and The Last Bookshop in London by Madeline Martin.

Enjoyed your list. Interesting about not being taught about the dust bowl. I was in high school in the 70's and was assigned The Grapes of Wrath by Steinbeck. I greatly recommend it. Also, look into Marie Benedict and Melanie Benjamin. I consider them more fictionalized history as they focus on real persons rather than fictional ones but they are very readable and informative and two of my favorite writers.I have read several Kristin Hannah and your video reminded me that I need to read all of her works. The Christmas Tree Farm series by Jacqueline Frost are my favorite Christmas reads. This series has ruined me for other Christmas books. I've had the Mona Marple series on my Kindle for a while but haven't read it yet. I'm hoping to read it in December. I really enjoyed the Christie Bookshop series. It has a very unique and atmospheric setting. Perfect for Winter. I hope you enjoy all of the books you read this Christmas and Winter!
