Yamaha Blaster Review

reviewing a 1993 and 2005 blaster this review was done for a college class of mine, i had to describe the pros and cons of something....I want to say that these machines are good for beginners i said they weren't in the video just for that class.

Dude $1,400 for a four-wheeler is not expensive they are also not that loud I like them being loud it sound good they are very reliable and good four wheelers and any four wheelers that you flip over will get you hurt a Yamaha blaster is safer than a 900 lb Arctic cat 4x4 and don't you dare say that 4 x 4 four wheeler has more safety than a Yamaha blaster no four-wheelers have safety features like a rollover bar if it's got a rollover bar it's a side by side

Blaster motor from 1992 were actually blueprint from Yamaha 1979 200cc 2 stroke. I had 1992 blaster but I had to beat shit out of it to have fun piston an rings frequently either seized or burnt out to point I carried a Wisco piston an ring set into woods with me an changed them in woods. Blaster is horrible in snow its to light.

I have kinda always wished that I could have gotten either the more stylish(In my opinion) and overall nicer 04-06 blaster or a better maintained 01. The 04-06 blasters just had better plastics and the parts are very much still available as far as plastics and headlamp/break light stuff. 🤷🏻 oh well I work with what I've got

I have a 2001 that I got when I was 12 or 13. I paid 400 cash for it I earned on a roofing job along with an old '87 Suzuki quad (which I negotiated in stupidly as an eager 12 year old desperate for a quad with manual transmission) it was in okay condition when we got it but my dad ended up putting a bit of time & money into it to make it run flawlessly and it did for years. I am now an adult and this past year have become some what of a diy mechanic on it and learning about it since I'm living on my own and although there's been a few headaches so far I am certain that when I am finished it will be better than ever before. I just last week fixed a lighting issue that started this whole journey (I wanted to have the ability to ride at night with buddies who have rzrs) but the bulbs kept going minutes after lighting up so I bought an entirely custom SouthTexasBanshee wiring harness (which is Supreme quality btw) that exchanged the tangled rat nest for a harness that removed the un needed extra wires for tors, key, ect, and it worked perfect except I was foolish and kept trying to connect aftermarket l.e.d floodlights that blew out immediately. I did research and realized they are DC when it's AC (or vice-versa) and decided to just replace the stock headlight bulb unit w/new regulator and it's perfectly reliable. Now I have a problem where when I start it It revs up extremely high and unless I choke it, it doesn't level out. I did try adjusting the carb screw to tune it but it wasn't working and I checked/ flipped the reeds without luck so I am putting in a brand new carb/throttlecable that doesn't have the tors on it. I want to see if this new carb helps with this new problem. I was gonna get rid of this Ole girl and get something new and not so moody, but I always see people say they had one as their first bike then they say something along the lines of "had one when I was younger, i miss it, I wish I wouldn't have sold it now" so I reconsider. Idk if it keeps having one issue I spend $30-80 fixing/upgrading replaced with a different problem that just has me working on it more than just enjoying riding it hard I will have to move on and just try and get a good deal on it. 🤷‍♂️ If you've read this article of a reply to a 2 year old comment, I respect you 👏 and I worked all day and am exhausted and spent entirely too much time with this shit when I'm supposed to be putting in this new carb lol goodnight
