The Kingdom of Eswatini: Our First African Experience (4K)
Embark on an exciting journey with me as I explore Eswatini (formerly known as Swaziland) for the first time, showcasing the country's astonishing natural beauty, vibrant cities, and authentic cultural experiences.
Our adventure begins at Shonalanga Lodge in Dombeya Game game reserve, where giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, antelopes, and warthogs freely roam. Experience life up close with nature, as we wake up to the sight of these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat.
We then venture into the nearby city of Manzini, getting a glimpse of the city's vibrant lifestyle and the offerings of a typical supermarket. I take you through the bustling streets, giving you an authentic peek into the daily life in Eswatini's urban centres.
Accompanied by our knowledgeable guide Lunga from Nolu Tours, we traverse the markets in Mbabane, Eswatini's capital. We dive deep into the heart of Eswatini's culture as we explore the country's top attraction - the local cultural village.
Our Eswatini journey is enriched by a day spent with Phumie Mamba, the son of a local clan leader. We explore the Mamba Kingdom and gain an understanding of rural life and politics in Eswatini.
Next, we're on a self-drive tour to discover some of the country's hidden gems. A visit to the Hlane Royal National Park reveals an impressive collection of wildlife - white rhinos, wild lions, elephants, and more.
Finally, we cross the border into South Africa for an excursion to Kruger National Park, a journey that adds to the richness of our Sub-Saharan experience.
This video is a blend of a vlog and a documentary, featuring my first-hand accounts, interviews with local guides, and some breathtaking footage of a country very few people know much about.
Whether you're an armchair tourist, seeking travel inspiration, or considering a visit to Eswatini, join me as we discover some of what the beautiful nation of Eswatini offers travellers.

Tobago is a beautiful paradise Island but Tobagonian people are a nasty minded breed of people. They don't want Trinidadians living there they don't want foreigners living there they want everyone to come spend the money and get off their island. I have never seen so much negative energy and envy until I went to Tobago. I forgot to tell you about the obeah and wickedness that goes on in that island.

We are from Norfolk Island and certain you would find our island a gem as it is the Second Convict Settlement. It has some great track walks and great weather over the November through April. You have inspired us to visit Tasmania cheaper than London and full charm and beautiful places to visit. Also thinking Motor Home Camper van.

A lot of Australian born Europeans always tell you the beaches overseas are clearer and bluer than the ones in Australia. Mind you they only been to Brighton beach or Sans Souci . Hi Louisa - thanks for your comments and support. Agree, I've been all over the world and it's hard to beat Australia's beaches - not just the colour of the water but the cleanness and the lack of seaweed you find in so many iconic beaches definitely puts ours at #1
