7:44 the audio levels for the music get comically high as the the track swells in and out. Maybe less volume dynamic tracks would be better since editing them would require less babysitting. Picking music that is more rhythmic and that doesn't feature as much of a running melody would also help to make the audio less distracting. The human brain processes an evolving/dynamic melody in the same way it does with speech, so when used over the top of dialogue it produces a kind of polyphonic dissonance similar to two people talking over one another.

If this isn't to your taste you might also look into the razer Tartarus, it doesn't have a true analog stick but it gets the job done, ive been using a similar keypad for the last half decade

This actually makes so much sense when you think about how the military train their soldiers. Yes, they do practice shooting under controlled environments, but more often than not, they're teaching them how to shoot and perform under simulated stressful scenarios.

Is there a wy to reconfigure the analog stick to something else too cause i do this with my Tartaros pro already i am still searching for a worthy successor to my Acient old Steellseries MERC Stealth i thought i fount it in the orbweaver but razer killed it and after mine died i tried the Tartaros witch feels not quite right for me and if the Cyborg would me configure that analog stick it would may be another option to go and try

Had a vague intuition of this expansion and compression topic u mentioned after experiencing it once, but hearing it from 3000+ hrs of experience person just makes it all the better and clear. Also your thoughts on sub-conscious and conscious aiming is interesting. My understanding of aim training has improved alot, just watching this video. Also I am curious how many expansions did u have in your journey to GM? Great work man

I've bought Cyborg, the most 'complete' version, although not directly from Azeron, and happened to get it with defect, namely the analog stick and directional switch didn't work correctly, likely ground wire wasn't connected correctly. I was a bit on the fence if I should keep it and fix the problem or return it. Ended up returning it, because: 1. Although I understand that it's a niche product, but the built quality can be simply described as... 3D printed. and rather average quality at it. Which is not what most people want for that kind of price. 2. Partly related to point 1, the wrist base is kinda huge, there's pretty big distance from table to where your wrist would sit, so ergonomics are quite questionable with this, and the stand that attaches to bottom to prop it up at an angle to address one of the ergonomic drawbacks of using KB/M, well I don't think it works well either, with that kind of huge offset from bottom of the base, plus the other parts don't really have anything to rest on. Would be better if it was designed with angled position to begin with. 3. Again, at this price point they could've gone extra mile with replacing potentiometers on analog stick to decent Hall effect sensors. It's possible to mod Elite sticks like this to retain the tension control feature.

Nice Review - With a cyborg and a Logitech G600 mouse i have access to every key on a standard keyboard. i have F, I, Bkspc, T, K and M on the mouse .. both the mouse and Azeron have SHFT, CTR, SPC and ALT for chording stuff like Ctrl-Shft SPC. Although i sometimes get mad at my Azeron i am addicted to it and i have not found any good alternatives. I can't move as well as with with keyboard WASD but everywhere else it is better than a keyboard. I find the bottom pulls are my fastest keys but they do double click sometimes ... My cyborg is about 3 years old, i upgraded my classic to a cyborg just after it released. It has some reliability problems but they didn't develop until it was over a year old ... the thumb pivot adjustment is tighten all the way and it still swivels loosely and on the ring finger the 3d printed plastic ring that tightens the pivot tension cracked. So i used a bunch of tape to keep the ring finger swivel and thumb swivel in one place. Also my space, R, esc and Return keys have worn switches that sometimes don't hit or they double click... its kind of random. If i was going redesign it I would make the base keys (what you have shft, Ctrl, spc assigned too) like keyboard keys for more tactical feel and ability to spam a key fast. i would keep the two lower and upper row of levers. I would also add another tower to the right for the index finger which like on a typewriter can hit f or g and r or t easily for 5 more keys. I have the upper hat bound to B, Alt, mod1 mod2... the outside thumb is bound to mod3.... mod 1 has my function keys and some alphabet, mod2 has punctuation keys & the HOME INSERT 6 keys... mod3 has the numeric keypad and few others. if i chord mod3 and outside pinky i have macros assigned.

This was a great amount of expierence you've share with us, thank you. There's no way to get this insight any other way. But have you tried the Cyborg 2 yet? It now has the Hall Effect stick as I'm sure you know. I wonder how you'd compare it to prior version. Drop a new video on this topic alone would be so helpful to us new comers (mine hasn't even arrived yet)! What would be great is how this new stick effects game play (in WASD, 360 mode), is it now more on par with K/M, how the software changed in this respect, what setup changes you made (less deadzone), and how big (if any) of an improvement is it?

This video is a bit old so idk if you will see this, but say i want to improve my flicking technique (fast flick and then micro adjust or having straight lines when switching between targets) or if I want to work on tension management, if I tried to do these things subconsciously the same way I would do it while playing an actual game would not the progress be much slower if at all?

I'm curious about the Azeron and would like to try it, but I think what you said about the Razer ones is a little off. I've been using pads like the Logitech G16 and the Razer Orbweaver for probably a little over a decade and have always used the thumbstick on those for movement. It's button layout and ergonomics that set the Azeron apart, not the ability to move with your thumb and use your fingers for abilities.

I bought one specifically to play modded Skyrim and Fallout. Of course, I didn't do my research and only found out later that none of the creation engine games support simultaneous input. So, no analogue movement while using mouse aim. Just in case someone is considering buying an azeron, make sure you can use it the way you want to for the games you play.

How do i use azeron in the game, just had download the software but i cant use it in games.

How is it for fps games?

I'm a console gamer historically but do play PC games. I struggle with the keyboard. I either press the wrong keys all the time or I have to look down at my keyboard while playing which gets me killed a lot. The game I play on PC the most right now is WoW. I just bought the Tartarus and so far I don't like it. I have small hands and I can't even reach all the keys without moving my hand. And like the keyboard I'm still looking down at the device to find the keys. I'm probably going to return the Tartarus and go back to the keyboard and mouse. Now I'm considering the Azeron. IT feels like there might be a pretty big learning curve but its also seems like once you have the buttons memorized it will be easier to play a game like WoW on. Anyone have any thoughts on what I should do?

This is a fantastic video and needs more views. Subconscious aiming while focusing on what's going on is key (so long as your goal is to improve at your game of choice). People wonder why aim training is not helping their in-game success while 60%+ of their conscious attention is spent on aim and not the game. It's like thinking that you can win a chess game by only thinking about how you are going to physically move each chess piece vs actually thinking about the gamestate.

4 year user here - funnily I seem to be the only person who uses the pulls instead of the downward presses for run & jump - aka my primary keys. I came from controller only for 35 years NEVER played with m&k - mouse was a given to be easy seeing how I use a mouse for work every day... the Azeron was an immediate hit, it felt totally natural; I'm on my second Cyborg now (I felt I could make some adjustments & wanted full custom colours) & have the Cyro mouse on the way. Something else I have done differently. I set it up for the main game I was playing when I got it on reWASD (I really prefer this to Azeron stock software), I went through it thinking what would feel the most natural for every action & then I added a random unused keybind to every single key on the Azeron - instead of having multiple set ups on the Azeron/reWASD (although I do have a separate bind for strategy type games & a couple for more unique games) - Id just rebind the keys within the game - this is obviously super easy as you already know what Azeron buttons you use for what actions. I could never go back to using a controller for most games & the idea of using a keyboard to game seems ridiculous to me. I tried the Razer Tartarus Pro before the Azeron and I absolutely hated it. The thumbstick alone is absolutely abysmal.

Ive been playing with the Azeron cyborg for about 6 months and I also dont see myself going back to a conventional keyboard either. I did replace the thumbstick to one of the elite thumbsticks that they sell if you ask their customer service, I would only recommend it to someone if they needed to replace a thumbstick with stickdrift though, and the replacement isn't the easiest but its also not entirely hard as long as you take pictures of your wires and follow the video on how to do it its pretty straight-forward
