A friend takes an old 4 stroke header and makes an elk call out of it. With funny trash talk.
Wondered if your passenger side air bag didn't blow, would you have to send in the passenger side seat belt for repair ?
Wouldn’t have to no. Make sure there’s no codes for that side first. Visually inspect it make sure the pre tensioner isn’t collapsed
Bought a truck and unfortunately was scammed by previous owner. It needs side curtain bags and the seatbelts unlocked. Guessing I need to do everything prior to sending in the module? Is there a way to confirm whether or not he replaced the seat airbags? It’s a 2020 Silverado 2500 like you’re working on.
Do you have a part number for this?
For what exactly?
The air bag control module
@@brentbriskey348 you can get them reset. Go on eBay and type in safety restore and you buy the service and ship your module and seat belts to them
Mine has a short to ground. Dealer already diagnosed it. But they want $1,600 to replace it
@@brentbriskey348 after collision and airbags went off or seat belts locked up? It’s repairable. It will say short to ground
Very nice video.
I have a question i already put a new air bag on my 2021 gmc sierra if i conect the battery will the air bag deploy again i havent fix the module
No it won’t but I’d just keep the module unplugged anyway
Thanks dude. Exactly what I needed.
Quick question. Recently had some guys remove my headliner on my 21 trailboss for a sound upgrade. My headliner was left at the shop but as I’m driving 15 minutes away my air bad service light went off. Air bags look fine and don’t seem to be messed with. Do I need to send the airbag module for a reset? And seat belts? Seat belt weren’t messed with
No. If airbags were not deployed you don’t need to send module off or belts off. Likely you have an open circuit somewhere. Take it to a shop that has a scanner able to read airbag system and it will say where the fault is. Or else take to dealer if you’re under warranty
👍👍👍👍👍
Helpfull video,thanks.
Great video! Do you know the fuse location of this module?
Quick question, did you have to replace all of the impact sensors?
Nope didn’t replace any
@@reesebakken80 Did this process completely remove the SRS warning light? I’ve replaced the clock spring, seat belts, pre tensioners and haven’t changed impact sensors nor fuses. I wonder if resetting my module will remove my srs warning light? Thanks for the feedback!
@@DifferentMystery you don’t even need to replace clock spring. This driver wheel bag went out as well. All you need to do is take out your seat belts in full. Keep pre tensioners on. Take airbag control module out, located under center counsel as shown. Take seat belts and control module and send them in to a company like MyAirbags and they will reset them and send them back to you and you will have no airbag light on. No need to buy any new seat belt parts during the process. I do quite a few rebuilders along side my insurance body work.
@@reesebakken80 thanks for the info! I appreciate it
Thank you !!! Good men !!!
Hope it helped ya out. Wasn’t super detailed through the process but I couldn’t find a video at all so it is something!
