I still think Sims 3 has the best graphics. It has a good balance of realism and "cartooniness", but isn't too realistic that it looks uncanny. Sims 4 looks so bland in comparison. Everything is blocky and has no texture it almost looks unfinished.

My favourite mods are the gardening gnome, gemstone box, storage box, item stacking, put away items (putting away harvestables and fish into the fridge). These are probably my most useful mods. The gnome automates gardening functions like watering, weeding, and reviving. The gemstone box stores and generates stones, with options on metal ores, uncut gems, or cut gems and metal ingots. The storage box is a simple box that can store everything storable and the box itself can be carried in a sim's inventory. It is great for keeping the sim's inventory uncluttered. Boxes can be nested inside each other, and the gemstone box can be stored inside it too. All four of these are on ModTheSims.

The floor edge colour thing, I found a new favour I hadn't really considered before, when I recoloured the side of a deck. I frequently used it when making basements, as I like painting the outside of basements to totally black, so the edge needs to be blacked out too.

Does it conflict with Nraas Story Progression?

Some of these I've known since the game came out, but there were some that blew my mind and will be a gamechanger, for sure!

so what does it mean when none of the testing files in the packages do anything? they dont show up in the downloads page, only stuff from the downloads files do.

I downloaded the folder, put it in the correct place, made sure the .cfg file was there and the game launcher doesnt have anything in it under installed content or downloads. Help? There are packages in the "Packages" folder, but the game doesn't recognize theres anything in it.

That was what i needed thank you! I have a question too. I have a 1.69 version of ts3 but mods that i wanted to download are comaptible with 1.67 ver. Can I download them or they will have bad impact on the game? Like crashes, bugs etc. Does somebody know?

I remember modding Sims 3 was so easy... Now on new PC it gives vibes like modding Skyrim xd With all the RAM I have, I hope the game will not be lagging on hairstyles and clothes... I always had a lot of those as I disliked most of the default content (it didn't look as good as mods) xd

And Sims 3 was like: LOL NOPE. Tried a manula method, but lost the fight. Got annoyed so much I deleted the game :v But now I might finally be able to play it. I'll see on the weekend xd

Please help 😢 trying to install a .world package, i do not have the option for ‘game data/program files’ on my mac. Assumed it should be downloading as if it was a mod but still nothing. What do i do?😢

I don't understand the wall item adjustment. This video and everywhere else i look online says to hold down the left mouse button and an arrow will appear but that doesn't happen for me. When I hold down the left mouse button the item just keeps changing direction. I can't move it up and down the wall. It's incredibly frustrating because I could really use the ability to adjust the placement of an item on a wall. It's annoyances like this that make me prefer Sims 4 even though 3 is more fun.

For some reason nointro and nosparkles dont work but another package file i installed worked?

I finally played sims 3 as it’s the only one I missed and I like it so far except for the camera rotation is on the menu instead of the mouse like on sims 4. It’s annoying but other then that I’ve been enjoying it.

A lovely commenter on the Smooth Patch MTS page helped me figure out what I was doing wrong: "It's possible you're putting it in the wrong Sims 3 folder. There's the one in your Documents where your mods usually go, but this is supposed to go in your game install file. Here's some info on how to find the folder I'm talking about: Steam 1.67 - "Steam\steamapps\common\The Sims 3\Game\Bin" 　 EA App 1.69 - "EA Games\The Sims 3\Game\Bin" "
