Wow, I will NOT be subscribing to this channel. The woman talked through the whole of opening scene. I don't care if you think it's good people smoking insidebis banned, Don't care about your thoughts on the haircut, why do you care where it is set, why are you confused by nicknames, just watch the movie and react where appropriate, stop questioning everything. How can she be confused by them holding the place up? they'd literally been talking about it. That was awful, hopefully she improved as the film went on but Icouldnt handle the verbal diarrhoea so I stopped watching before the first song ended

If you have a trustworthy friend, having them take your spouse out for food and bowling or something isn't a big deal. Marsellus clearly looks at Vincent as a close friend who he has no trust issues with. You even see later in the movie that the stakeout at Butch's place was pretty informal. When your boss goes out to get the donuts instead of sending you, the boss looks at you as more than just an employee. Even in 1994, $5 was actually a pretty good deal for a gourmet milkshake from a place that really knew how to make them. In 1994, you actually could eavesdrop on cell phone calls. Cell phone signals were unencrypted (and analog) for the longest time. Someone figured out that by buying a specific radio scanner and replacing a crystal in it with a specific one, you could listen in on local calls. The FCC's reaction was to make that combination of scanner and crystal illegal, not actually fix the problem. Nowadays, the data is encrypted and virtually impossible to listen in on without actually having the phone company involved (which requires a warrant). Adrenaline isn't really administered in the heart directly, but the reaction is like being slapped awake and going into immediate fight or flight mode. Butch not only bet on himself, but he spread the news that the fight was fixed and he was going to lose, making him an underdog.

Her focus is clearly somewhere else. Talking over much of the dialogue. Constantly asking questions about the plot that would ruin the rest of the movie. Interjecting with personal quips and anecdotes over half the scene. Highly disrespectful when you're trying to watch a film. Also, the film has some incredible sound design (as all Tarantino's films do) and this girl has one budget ear bud in.

I think most people know Tim Roth from Quentin Tarantino films (this and Reservoir Dogs), but he was also in favorite Scottish history flick: Rob Roy. The movie came out the same year as Braveheart and was overshadowed by its popularity. I do think, Rob Roy is a better movie. It stars Liam Neeson as the titular Robert "Rob" Roy McGregor, a Scottish national hero just like William Wallace, Tim Roth as the main villain Archibald Cunninham (a treacherous minor noble turned a rogue), Brian Cox (a partner in crime for Timmy), Eric Stolz (Lance the Drug Dealer from this movie!), John Hurt, Jessica Lange etc. It is a wonderful story about honor, treachery, clan loyalty, strength of a woman violated by the enemy, and so much more. Much more realistic take on Scottish history as well.

Butch's phone call to Tennessee, his "Brother" had placed the bets. They left LA on the train, to where the money was. The Pawn shop and security guard were serial killers. They raped people then killed them.

“That girl is smiling” because it’s been established that she is the one into PIERCING with a NEEDLE. The scene is a great example of reverse vampire imagery: a stake to the heart kills a vampire, but a needle to the heart revives Mia. Yes, after HENRY AND JUNE, Uma Thurman and Maria de Medeiros reunite in this film. The glowing briefcase may be a KISS ME DEADLY reference.

I am amazed anyone could watch the rape scene "multiple times" and not figure out what was happening.

There's a very good reason why Miyazaki opted to have repulsive insects as creatures as opposed to more common cutsie things. One of the main theme of the movie is cohabition with nature and being part of it, and Nausicaa's character is one of the very few who can look at the poison forest and the insects and understand that it has its place and has the same right to exist as anything else - people shouldn't be at war with something that's the result of natural evolution. Especially considering that, while at first glance the poison forest and its caretakers, the insects, seem utterly unhospitable and dangerous, it is revealed that it is in fact cleansing the Earth from of the man-made pollution of the past - so in other words its existence is completely essential to restore the Earth and therefore ensuring the survival of its inhabitants, people included. But of course one may feel at odds coexisting with something so off-putting and so toxic, but that's the point, you have to look past that and fully understand the nature of things to get the bigger picture. If you stop at the shallow surface and appareances, you might just forsake your very salvation.

Spirited Away is one of my all time favorite films. One of the best Miyazaki films, in my most humble opinion.

You've arrived at Studio Ghibli's masterpiece, "My Neighbor TOTORO." It's a masterpiece that anyone can enjoy, regardless of age. It's about the country life in Japan in the nineteen fifty s, but it's about the interaction between children and cute monsters that you can only see when you are a child. We Japanese miss scenery and customs, and we can enjoy it in that way. By the way, How was your childhood, Mr. Wil? Was it like the film "Stand by me"? I think life in this era was quite different between America and Japan, but the sensitivity of children is universal. I'm happy that Mr. Wil has put a five star mark on this movie. I think it would be great if we, who are probably old, from different countries, and from different cultures, could get the same empathy for the movie. I look forward to seeing a positive reaction to the movie again. See you !
