Anyone else picture Ivan hanging around the courts seeing if anyone wants to put some money on a match?

Hey there, I know posted this a long time ago, but! I'm just getting into 4.0 now, so this was really useful! (Also, I'm incidentally also in the Boston area, and have been playing at Dugger. I was wondering now that you're in more of the 4.5 skill, are there still places you go for open play, or are you mostly drilling playing tournaments?) Anyway, I've been watching your channel ever since I started, almost a year ago - keep up the good work!

My favorite group to play with is some old school Chinese guys. We are all table tennis background and play alot of outballs, use TONS of spin, and have some wicked fire fights at the net. No one ever gets mad and play is always positive atmosphere.

Dang such a good game! Your partner has some wicked spin and you both played well....but Kirby just has a wall of a backhand. You and Kirby vs Weber and his partner should be fun to watch!

You guys made for a beast squad! I wud prefer playing with a dedicated partner but honestly this is the best way to get a fair ranking. You know your partner is not carrying you as u play with everyone.

One thing I’ve notched at these quote on quote 4.0 play rec games is that there are almost no dink rallies. Everybody going for power over precision.

Dang that has to be difficult to be constantly subbing in and out. No time to get momentum and feel for opponents! Great win! Congrats!

Wow. Although I would MUCH prefer Luisa as my partner I have to say Csilla is a MONSTER at drops! So many times she resets it perfectly and sets up her partner. Very deceptive player!

Great job! Just goes to show its all about match ups. But I believe if you played more rounds you and Luisa would be in the Gold Medal game.

Redshirt. Nice play. High level play protecting your lesser level female player but not playing out of your skill set. Definitely better skill and youth also helped alot

Dang you had them but they rallied back. Congrats on the Silver! I sure hope you continue to partner with Abby! Shes lethal. Interesting how the guy kept pretending to switch at the net constantly.....did seem to mix things up a little. Might be a strategy to employ....IF I had the energy!

Abby continues to impress. I was confused....I get the switch when you reached 6 points....but then you switched back? Maybe there wasnt supposed to be a switch? Also looked like a LITTLE bit of drama with Rosana? Seemed harmless tho. People get competitive....it happens.

Abby is turning into my favorite partner you have played with so far! Lethal resets from deep! Pinpoint accuracy.....error free other than occasional net points etc. Jacky if you dont mind a TINY bit of criticism.....your drives, dinks, slices, resets.....spot on.....but you really need to work on developing a more powerful serve. I will provide links below to my teacher of choice and who I mimic my own serve after. Youve prob seen Tanners vids before. If you choose to keep a more moderate serve thats cool....but I just see the potential for you to get some easy points and get your serve game up to the level of the rest of your game!

Great game! Dont get me wrong I'm WAY too slow to full stack but your opponents should probably only half stack. That really had them discombobulated. You were the stronger team anyway tho!

Great game! Abby has incredible hands! Shes so good at directing her shots to avoid poaching. For those saying this is not 4.0.....first of all levels vary from location....second Jacky is def legit 4.0 (I know from watching many of his tournaments and before you can REALLY keyboard grade someone you have to at LEAST watch more than a few games).....third it will be okay!

Nice pickle! For those criticizing the opponents level of play....sure they PROBABLY are not 4.0 level....but hey kudos to them for throwing their hat in the ring and giving it a shot. Best way to get better is to throw yourself in the fire! Now yes in open rec play you should try to be at level....but if both partners are willing to give it a go at a higher level good for them! Hey I dont mind grabbing an easy win as well if in a tourny.

My gosh you guys were on FIRE! Csilla is incredible! Someone in comments said your opponents 2.5 but I totally disagree! They were legit. You just had their number! 100% crisp shots!

Ivan is a serious beast for his age and a true gentleman in sport. You can tell by the way he never hogs shots and lets Sophie handle herself. Ali and you played very well and in less than a year this match will be a different story!

Yikes! Dude beat you by himself! I wud say banger but he just ripped all high hanging fruit and had dink game when needed. I see its 4.0+ and hes prob 5.0+ from what I see. Obviously strong tennis background and in elite shape. You will be there tho if you keep progressing. Tough pickle but his amazing ability to just take over was unstoppable. The FEW times his Mom was able to hit the ball she looked 3.5 but honestly hard to tell as she was prob off beat hitting 1 out of 25 balls!

Game 1 These guys were defensive walls but not enough offense. Your clearly the better team.
