My shot making procedure start to finish.
Do you use a respirator and gloves /any ppe
Not for this process, the lead doesn't get hot enough to vaporize and I do use moving air and good ventilation. It's kind of insulting that you would even ask me that question as if I didn't know what I was doing.
@@droberts6579 I wasn’t aiming to insult you I was more concerned about the safety because I want to get into making bird shot my self and thought to ask someone more experienced. Didn’t mean to offend
What am I looking at?
Bird shot
@@droberts6579 Ah
Good setup ....are the holes drilled directly into the front of that device ,and if yes what size holes...you're giving me ideas and would have to get creative.
Yes the holes are drilled directly down through the corner of the pot, I've been using this system for 40 years. The size hole for number 6 shot for instance is 30,000 of an inch. Number seven and a half shot is 26,000 of an inch. Step down about 2000s for every smaller size shot
@@droberts6579 thanks alot...one size straight or start bigger and then the small drill bit.....im going to try make one as yrs i hahe 0.5mm bits would that work for a biger shot size
@@ArnoldHuggins-cj9vx you can't go much bigger than number 6 size shot or it will just start to stream
Great vid what are the drippings holes or some kind of nipple ?
Dripper holes in bottom corner of pan.
what size drill hole for 6no and 4no and what liquid is this...love from kashmir
.031 thousands for #6 . I have never tried larger as I feel the lead would just stream. Type B water soluble oil. 1 to 4 mix with water.
He might have just brought one of your pots
I bet that's what it was 😉
Just enjoying him self don’t you have to wear helmets over there
No
اذا ممكن شنو ماده جاي قطر بيهه خردق❤
Materiál?? Ocel?
Aluminum
Do you have a video showing how you made the drip tray?
No , sorry
Where do you sell your shot
I occasionally share some shot with my friends but I don't ship any shot to sell
@@droberts6579 do you have a video on making the dripper machine?
Hell yeah.
Very nice video
What do you do with the used water?
It never wears out, you loose a small amount each time you wash shot. You occasionally add some to your mix. It's biodegradable.
I know you're on the Fbook but how do I order one? If there was a link in the Fbook forum I missed it? Thanks Brian
Just msg me on my face book page
What a machine 👍👍
Здравствуйте! Что за жидкость используете, в которую падает дробь?
Type b water soluble oil
Do you make different shot sizes for your shot drip pan? Would this set up work with bismuth?
Each pan makes one size shot. High production. I have 2 guys that are gonna try bismuth soon. Check back later.
Do you sell the shot maker?
Yes
@@droberts6579 how do I find them

Won’t be long until I can get mine running again 🎉
And I will have to stop
I know some Aussie tyre weights
Hi I'm from India, can I buy your use dripper
Sorry I don't export.
Question - seems like dripper working or not is a function of volume in the lower chamber, how does lead temperature affect the dripper being active or not? As more lead flowed down from the upper chamber, drippers got more active. Volume change.
It's simply a balance of how fast the lead can be melted versus how much is going out the front.
That is amazing.. I have seen a couple of methods they use to move and place small buildings and it amazed me . Thanks for sharing this adventure with us. Cheers
What happing here my man
Articulating trailer that unloads utility buildings, remote control
love the videos! I'm interested in learning how to do this is there a place I could go to learn more?
I cover everything in my videos but I also have a face book group page. Roberts shot making techniques and equipment . Just be careful who you listen to in there some people like to share their ideas that aren't very good. Some people need to be listening more and talking less.lol
Watch all my videos
Beautiful sight watching the master make shot👍 So it sounds like 21 drippers would be perfect for my dream of #8.5 to #9 🤣🤣🤣
Oh yes !
What is the coolant you are used NG? It looks like the type you use in machining.
Yes it is, type B water soluble oil
@@droberts6579 what happens if you don’t use coolant? Just water?
@@Stuff_happens you can use water but it has to be heated to about 180°
How much are these worth?
If you're asking about the dripper pan,, 250.00
@@droberts6579 no. The ezgo.
Good evening Mr Roberts is that a bogger that sneaked its way into your shot 👍🫣
Lol. I think a bird flew over and dropped it on me 😄
Howdy Danny Boy do I wish I started making shot when I started reloading… But shot in 1974 was not to bad of a price.. I mostly used it for hunting #6. I did skeet shoot for many years but as I had a growing family my free time got shorter and shorter.. Now that I am retired I have a little more. Hahahaha But I just don’t shoot enough to justify making my own.. I do cast some projectiles.. But don’t have a great supply of lead.. But let me tell you. You are the Guru of shot making… And anyone on your FB page or TH-cam channel should be taking lots of notes… I just wanted to say thank you for sharing your knowledge.. Keep teaching these young guys. We have to keep this knowledge going. Cheers Sir
Thank you. I'll do my best .
Do you sell online or ship locally? Very nice looking product 👌
Sorry I don't ship any.
What a shot pot it is yea I have just finished running 40kilos of shot
Just a quick high to anyone monitoring this thread. I've owned an EZGO ST4x4 (Woods MAV4x4) for 12 years or so. Use it almost everyday on my 50 Acres. Like most, I've found Ezgo near useless for information. The Woods guys were more friendly, but still not much support. I'm thinking we all need common forum to help keep these alive. They are built incredibly well, but figuring out parts is, well, I'm sure you all know. I'm sure that Ezgo didn't design all new stuff when they built this machine, so there must be a way to cross parts. A support group would sure beat never ending individual searches and tidbits (Like the 22HP Predator Engine, 500 Polaris Sportsman Brake Pads, Front A Arm bushings and Rear Spring Bushings the same, etc). Would welcome any feedback.
This is the way! The Gospel of shot dripping! Follow his way exactly and you won’t be lost. ❤
This is the way
Wow thats nice shot
Yes thanks
That’s good looking shot! I’m thinking of making my own.
Don’t burn your fingers you can’t afford time off 😢
I'm so skilled there is absolutely no risk involved. 😆
Like being a blacksmith. Everything is hot. They don't wear gloves. They just get used to being careful.

Hi mr Roberts.. I wanted to know ,what angle u make the holes in shotmaker.. .. thank in advance
I find watching your shot making videos therapeutic… I would love to get one of your shot makers.. Just have to get a better supply of lead.. Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge with all of us. Cheers
Now that is confidence not one bad shot how good is that 👍👍👍👌👌
Is it possible to make shot bigger than #6
I can occasionally get lucky with #5
Are you still making the shoemakers wisklh one could do larger shot for hunting coyotes
@@SamRoberts-c5q I'm still making them. I can drill .031 holes and you will be close too #5 shot but you got to run it slower to allow the shot more time to form larger.
It would have been nice if you just did it so we could have seen it not just talking about it
Do you mean watch me actually build it?
Good info Danny, always more to learn about this process. Thanks, Mike.
I had watched other videos and some of the shot looked flattened with a fish eye. But this video it is clear that when they roll the are round. I was actually surprise the were so good with the short drop. Most of the big companies that !ale shot have a high tower, maybe that is why yours is harder. Questioning metals, alloys, and nonferrous faster usual results in harder or even brittle product.
I only use wheel weights which have a very nice alloy for making shot
Have you tried mica on your wads?
Do you sell for folks that don't have a setup like yours????
I sell the drip Pan's not the tank and burner. That's the important part. Its simple to get a tank and burner built. Ill be here for advice for that part. 275.00 for the pan with free shipping
@@droberts6579 We don't shoot that much to sink in like $500. Thanks
I was asking about the shot.
@@amberwilliams185 yes I sell shot for $ 45 dollars per 25 pound but I dont ship
