Exhaust looking really nice, and nice price too. Looking forward to hearing how it all sounds. 👍
@JK_Nex_Garage Thanks, brother, pricd is not bad at all when you include the Mufflers is about another $80 or so for nowadays if you can stay within $200.00 and something dollars for exhaust I think it's a great deal
Louie!!! Looks great boss. What kit Number for the exhaust. Great idea using the rear frame holes where the factory hanger was.
Quadrajet was always my choice....Factory
@@jct300m I will be installing a Quadrajet in my 69 Firebird tribute car
Girls just wanna have FUN!!! She got no TIME for choking lol
Wow, good detail information.
@jamesforehan2809 Thanks Dad
I see this car running and moving very soon. Interesting how the old cars the pulley is held on by a nut and newer is pressed fit. The nut is so much simpler to work with.
@@VinylVillageGarage I agree with you 100% these old cars are more sinful and last longer than the new stuff I believe they build the new stuff the way they do so guys like you and me can fix them and you are obligated to go to the dealer only if only if they knew we are great Gearheads we could figure anything out thank you for watching my bird brother
Good tips and video Luis - have a good weekend my friend 👍🏈😊
@LakesideAutobody Thanks Jerry 😊 and thanks for watching 👀
very nice work Louie. Very detailed instruction. Much appreciated my friend
@perrywe1 Thanks brother this should by really helpful for alot of people
Great video Louie, you make easy to be able to change over from manual steering to power steering. Thank you for sharing 👍🏼AL
@keepitsimplegarage-xp1kk Thanks AL ...by the way did you ever get to do the Facebook page?
Perfect, just the detailed video we needed to convert our ‘67 to power steering when it comes time. Thanks for taking the time to make this video.
@JK_Nex_Garage you are welcome, my brother this is really a great video
Louie did you use drop leaf springs on the green fierbird in this video? Your videos are very good keep them coming thank you.
@@gibsonexplorer8777 no I actually have the original still on rear shocks need to be replaced also that's 15 in Cragar rims in other words the rear end never got redone but I did a full rebuild on the front suspension I have the 67 for 23 years now and she drives great thank you for watching and thank you for your support
Great video, very talented great info. I enjoy following along
@lisalazzeri1520 thanks my Firebird sister
Hi there. I have a head scratcher. I have a 68 that came without the rally gauges. Someone installed a 67 rally gauge set. I assumed they didn’t re-pin it because I only got a left turn light in the dash when I turned the lights on. And no dash lights. But when I removed the gauges it was pinned correctly. My gray wire was pinned to 5, that should be all my dash lights. It gets 12v when I turn on my lights. But the light blue wire pinned at 7, for the left blinker is getting a random 3.5v when I turn on the lights. It should be getting 0v until the blinker comes on, and it does get the 12v when the blinker comes on, but then it goes back to 3.5v. Any ideas? Cheers, Dax. BTW, I used Jon's video as a guide on where to place the pins, and your video on how to remove the pins. Keep up the great videos!
@@t.daxmallory2307 thank you for checking out the channel lots more videos coming your way as for these old cars you need to check out your signal light switch also your light switch on the dash Trace everything make sure everything is clean make sure all your grounds are clean the littlest things can cause you a big headache
@@firstgenerationgarage2803 Thanks much, I learn a lot from both you and Jon. You've saved me from many headaches. Cheers, Dax.
@t.daxmallory2307 we both love saving birds 🐦
Great video Louie! Thanks for the information on the disc conversion kit.
@@billiebrew2185 No problem brother thanks for watching 👀
Looking forward to hearing that engine!
Awesome!💪🏁
Ii have the exact car and wish you could do it for me.
@james25764 where are you located?
pontiac made disc brake wheels i used the kit from right stuff and the disc brakes on the front worked fine with my disc brake wheels code jj but the rear needed alot of modification to make the wheels work the right tuff kit was 4 wheel disc brake conversion for my 69 firebird from jegs it was $839.00. looking back i should have just done the front brake conversion but im happy with it
@@chrismansker8870 yes you are 100% correct they are rims that came on disc break cars that will work but when they sell you this disc brake conversion kit saying that it will work with a 14 inch wheel no matter if the car was originally disc or drums that is what made me upset but thanks God I worked my way out of it and everything is fine thank you for watching and thank you for your support
Great video Louie! I love the way you broke down everything and made it easy to swap out drum to disc. I’ve been there and done that and it’s not fun. Great job👍🏼AL
@@keepitsimplegarage-xp1kk Thanks AL I've been really busy I need to start catching up on your videos brother thanks for watching
@ Hey Louie it’s ok I totally understand. Keep up the great work👍🏼AL
Excellent and honest conversion. So frustrating when people selling you things aren’t honest about what they are selling. Thanks for the parts list and taking the time to make this video.
Thank you very much brother for your support I'm very grateful that I was able to make it work and just had to grind some metal off thanks God not too much or else I will have to have had everything tossed in the garbage but so far everything is working out great buying aftermarket parts is really frustrating especially when the seller is lying to you
Awesome video my friend! Thank you for this detailed how to!
@handydand Thanks, brother. I really appreciate that
I am still on the fence about swapping out to disc in the front... great video!!!
@ArrowheadGarage thank you my brother and thank you for making a thumbnail for me it came out acting like always...... Brian this Disc brake conversion will work on your 1967 Firebird the only thing is you will have to grind down the metal slightly on the points I pointed out on the video but actually great price for a disc brake conversion kit and you can get a lot of the parts at your local AutoZone
You would think the simpler solution to the caliper bracket is produce only the 14” brackets, why bother making the larger ones when the small one will fit 14 or 15” wheels. Thanks for showing us a less expensive way to greatly improve the braking system
@@VinylVillageGarage thanks brother after grinding a little metal on each point where the wheel was rubbing it worked out great the only thing that makes me upset is why will the seller say no modification needed when clearly you do have to but I give thanks that everything worked out great thank you for watching and thank you for your support my Firebird brother
Keep up the good work Louie!!
@jct300m thanks buddy
Love the content! Please keep it up, I have a 68 Firebird and you’ve been helping me so much with these videos, thanks man

@LakesideAutobody Thanks Jerry I appreciate that
Filling that bird cage up. Stepping away from the bird to do other things makes me enjoy working on it even more when I get back to it. The engine and control arms turn out great.
@@JK_Nex_Garage thank you brother lots of work to be done on the lovebird but little by little I am getting there and yes the birdcage is running out of space quick

You mentioned the bump stop. Do you know how much suspension travel a rear end has? Up and down
