So question? Is it possible for the hdmi port to be messed up even if it doesn’t show physical signs of being damaged? My ps5 has been sitting in the same spot for the past 6 months and the last time I played it I didn’t have any issues. But this past weekend I was gonna finally do my software update because right when I stopped playing it months ago it was due for an update, just never got around to doing it. Could the need for an update cause this issue? Fully disassembled the console with the plan of switching the hdmi ports but like I said it looks like it’s in perfect condition. What should I do? I’m still able to play my VR games but can’t see any display on the tv. I’ve tried different cords and different TVs and my Xbox isn’t having this problem, only the PlayStation

I can't even figure out how to focus and use the eye cups. I've always struggled with binoculars, it's like my eyes are fighting me. And the view is mostly dark. Hopefully I'll have better luck with a camera. Thank you for the additional information.

The only thing reliable about the Xbox is that it will inevitably break itself in the most creative way possible.

Mine still works, it’s just loose. I have to turn the actual cord and play or jiggle it to get it to turn on…can it be tightened or should I just replace the HDMI port?

I can't find my problem specifically anywhere. When I google hdmi port is loose everyone talks about it being broken and no image. I HAVE an image the port is just really really loose out of nowhere and it's hard to put the hdmi wire in. It got hard to fit in out of nowhere. I don't kno what happened. But once I can get one in I can still see the display

What if still stuck in safe mode loop after doing all this? Did teardown+clean and found nothing out of ordinary. Tried two drives. Both got me to Playstation menu but if I power off console and boot it again, puts me back into safe mode, then I'm stuck in safe mode. Took before pics during teardown so know I didn't mess it up and built few PC's so I know dangers of static shock and etc. Had no problem at all during disassembly and reassembly.

The die has a void in the liquid metal because when people stand their PS5 upright gravity causes the liquid metal to pool to one side of the die.
