It is hard to pin exactly what is it that i do...In general, I am, and always have been, a creator. Now, I invite you to join me me as i share my work, progress and skill.

In this 11th speed I am once again trying to create a small and uncomplicated scene in Maya. The focus of this work, and many previous, is to catch the feel and mood of the scene rather it's complexity.

Sculpting Mr. Blue in zBrush

In this speed session, I am taking you through my learning path of this magnificent software. I am only starting to learn all the tools and workflows, so in this practice, it was more of a experience gain than a correct workflow. used photoshop for a quick sketch of Mr. blue, them sculpted it in zBrush and used Autodesk Maya for a final composition and render.

Hello, when I click in MASH, the 10 particles don't appear. Even I scale up the original snowflake or I put the number of points to a higher number, I still don't see any mash particles?
I just needed to close maya and open it again... Anyway thanks for this great tutorial:)

Hi, how did you make such a ground-plane, as if a light source highlights an island on the surface?

Thanks man! Actually it's a pretty easy process =) 1) Duplicate the model you want to create an outline for 2) Apply Surface shader to the new model 3) Go to - Attribute Editor -> objectShape ->Render stats: - Casts Shadows - Off - Recive Shadows - Off - Double Sided - Off 4) Go to - Mesh Display -> Reverse Now, in order to control the scale of the object (to give it an offset for the line width) you can select all the vertexis of the object, thwen in the Asix Orientation of the Move Tool you choose Normal. Then you can simply move it on the N asix to scale it around the object A very good and detailed tutorial can be found here: th-cam.com/video/awHQ7KNvI2w/w-d-xo.html

In this one I am using zBrush for the texture painting, then using Maya I am creating the toon shaders =)

Thats a great idea! I am thinking of splitting those into two... The one will remain the speed modeling process, to show the whole workflow. The second will be real time tutorial with me talking and explaining the process. Working on it, stay tuned!

I Think I could, yeah How much slower would you like it to be? The whole process is around 12 hours so it can't be realTime, but i could manage to make it slower that now

Dude!! I never thought to use curve like that!
It's a really col trick...In Maya 2022 there is even a faster way to make it work Create a curve, then go to Create -> Sweep Mesh It allows you to create a bunch of cool stuff with a single curve, super cool!

Thank you! In this specific one, I did not made it smooth I really like the low poly look in here so I kept it as is

Which one exactly are you talking about? There are a bunch here, basicaly Lambert and the contour is a reversed Surface Shader
