You can get into the water at your own risk but it's not recommended, especially during the monsoon season. Besides there are no life guards there. Also, there aren't any city buses passing by. You probably have to get a bus to Kotekar and then take an auto rickshaw and it might cost you 200 bucks. However, coming back I'm not sure you'll get an auto that easy. It's rather a secluded area so take your own water and food. The area is prone to strong sand erosion and waves, hence be careful.

@syedroshan12 my pleasure. You can also try someshwar beach which is kinda nearby. It's got a temple and scenic view with large boulders one can climb, albeit not during the monsoon season😅. The area has got bus connectivity.

@syedroshan12 the heat and humidity is guaranteed throughout the year, the rain however, plays its own tune 😀. Meanwhile, you can always visit other places like st Aloysius Chapel, Aloysius Museum, Kadri Temple, Bejai Museum, Kadri park, and Pilikula Nisargadhama. The last one has 7-9 different attractions including the only planetarium in India with the latest tech in 3D projection. Might take a week for a detailed visit to Pilikula 😅

You can always take the prepaid auto rickshaw from Mangalore Central railway station. The cheaper option would be to catch city bus route number 19 and getting down at bondel (last stop) from where the institute is in walking distance. You can catch the bus from either near lady Goshen hospital or near lighthouse hill road, both almost equidistant by walk.

@@talalabdulla6000 Well, the rain in Mumbai is fickle-minded. It comes whenever it pleases. I was staying in Versova and the winds are pretty strong there since it is the coast. But mostly, rain isn't much of an issue. Public transportation in Bombay is pretty good and affordable.
