I hope your still active i got 2 questions for ya. My baby has teeth that are small open eyes walking around and chering on stuff. Ive had him for 15 hrs he only peed 1 time when i first found him. My questions are. How are you making him food with the powder. Are u mixing it with anything. I got kmr and hes eating it. Second question, he hasnt used the bathroom since thenfirst pee. I dont think hes small enough to need stimulated but i tried that too. Thanks for any help!

Hi.. I'm an Aussie, I have two fully grown EWDs... They don't require humidity. Ppl will tell you that they aren't found in Victoria ( where i live) but they are, I've seen them in the wild with my own eyes on many occasions........ The reason i mention this is bc Victoria is dry, there's hardly any humidity in this state lol.... food for thought anyway right.😉 They are extremely flighty when young, if one gets away from you, you're probably not going to find it again lol so make sure you have a locked room, I used to get my guys out once a week when they were hatchings and I'd take them to the bathroom, small room with nothing they could crawl under... that way if they got away from me, I could at least grab them again... as soon as they hit a year old, I built a huge outdoor enclosure for them and they went out there permanently... they absolutely thrived outside under natural sunlight.. I'm not sure where you're from, but I'm sure you get sun at some point, so even if you can't keep them outside year round, I definitely recommend building a temp enclosure to use when the sun's out, so they get fresh air and sunlight... my guys are 5 years old now and my male is at least a meter long ... they've been breeding too so that's exciting...I wish you all the best with your guys.

This is south Louisiana, we are all called coonasses here lol! 😝 I know the video is 3 years old but I just found it. I just wanted to comment that I know many people fear rabies, but from my experience with animal control, I can say that rabies was practically eradicated in the USA for over 50 years. There is a slight comeback but it is still very rare. More likely to get hit by a bus at this time, not that it isn’t ever subject to change, of course. Just sayin’ 🤷‍♀️

Thanks to the lifting of some laws, it's open season on racoons here in Michigan. Of course this leaves behind a lot of orphaned babies. (Have had 20 calls in the last week alone.) I'll be traveling a bit to pick up two sets of litters in a few hours here. I have years of experience with neonatal kittens. Never raccoons though. Based on what I've read there are a lot of similarities. Wish me luck. Lol Thanks for the great video.

This is my favorite tegu build I’ve seen on TH-cam. Well done.

OK. I bought a female Australian Water Dragon and had an interesting experience. First few months were a little rough. I got the bag and the dragon, about one year old, and it spazzed upon jumping out of the bag. Very skittish and also jumped into our light fixture, knocking out his incisor teeth and some little teeth. Most little teeth grow back. My enclosure was 5 x 2 x 2 but the light area came down a little and I had a log there. Early on, she'd mark up her mouth. Also, in winter, there was about two months where she barely ate. I panicked, but after talking to other owners, this is normal during brumation. The good news is, things have gotten a lot better. The dragon has calmed down, and now sometimes eats out of my hand. I would not say she has a huge appetite, but eats more in the summer. She also lets me pet her under her chin. Eventually I will pick her up more, when she is ready. One big advantage to water dragons is they always poop in the water. So I put a bubbler in the water container and I just change it like every two weeks. The set up for this dragon takes a lot but the maintenance is not bad at all. Things are going so much better now.

Thank you for helping him! Raccoons have to have their own special milk replacement. It's very expensive. Like $250 for a 2 month supply for 4 raccoons. They need calcium or they will get Metabolic Bone Disease, fist sign is the twitching. Too much phosphorus is actually bad for them. The calcium has to be higher than the intake of phosphorus. Tegus are awesome and you won't regret it!
