National Equestrian Semi Final, Albion Michigan.
My daughter participated in the semi finals for the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association. She needed to finish in the top 4 to move on to the finals. Unfortunately, she came up just short, earning the pink ribbon for 5th place.

Tour of the Feed Plots, Deer Run
มุมมอง 10510 หลายเดือนก่อน
My Dad bought this land, in 1996. At the time it was a forest with a few paths and one road. He built it into his dream. With a trailer homestead, and 3 Deer food plots for hunting during deer season. Here, he gives me a tour in his side by side of the 3 food plots. I brought along my 360 camera and got some great footage. And Dad picked out the music.
Large Beach Tent, DIY

Summer of 2017, Destin Florida. Prepping for the trip, I wasn't happy with the prices for a large beach canopies, so I DIY'd it. I basically took it down, untested. And we were going to have a total of 14 people. For a bit, we struggle here, but eventually succeeded, and it lasted over 4 hours before we took it down in pretty heavy wind. If ya'll are interested in seeing more, I have a lot. LMK...

Man vs Catio

I built a catio. Then later I had to partially disassemble and move it. Along with modifying it and use a farm jack to pull out some bushes. In this video I breakdown how I built it, how I moved it and provide tips and tricks for doing both. And tr!p provides the music. Beats by tr!p @tripmadeit
The Bees in the ground 4k

Classic lawn mower accident, running over in ground bees nest, lead to me setting up a camera next to the nest to see what would happen. They weren't too happy about it. The longer it sat there the more pissed they got. Filmed with the Insta 360 One RS, in 4k. Big screen is a must!
New Kitten meets Old House Cat, for the first time.
มุมมอง 136ปีที่แล้ว
About 4 years ago, we brought home a new kitten to live in our house. With our 11 year old house cat. This is their introduction. The first part is us letting her out into her room. We kept the kitten isolated for 4 days before we let her roam about. Some very interesting moments in here.

Despite installing a 2 tiered retaining wall and regrading the backyard in 2020, I was still getting water, pooling up in my lower backyard, and occasionally flowing under the basement door, and down the basement drain. This was my solution to fix it. I am not a professional landscaper. My hope is that this will mitigate the problem. But I will never know. Because I don't live there anymore. An...

Random vlog from many years ago. I used to turn on my web cam when I had a deep thought. I have a bunch of these. Quality is poor because the computer was from 2011 and only shot SD. And the mic wasn't great either. I was doing it for my own experience, at the time. But if you like what you see (and hear), comment below and I''ll consider uploading more.

Documentary. The tour of Deer Run. Learn about the history of the land. Some nature shots. 2 guys fix a deer stand, take a tour of the 3 deer plots on an ATV, some Wasp control, a nice sunrise leaf burning, and removing a fence post, (partial) in preparation for the delivery of a new mobile home. This unfortunate BOP was looking for lunch in the median of the HWY, and couldn't put the brakes on. When it happened, I thought there is no way the camera captured the impact. Which it didn't, it happened on the far left of the windshield, which is likely why I had no damage. But it captured everything leading up to. I think it's a small Owl. LMK what ya'll think below.

    It was lightly raining the whole time. I was hoping for some sun, shadows, contrast. But it wasn't the right time. The Insta 360 does better the more light there is. We were only there a few days. Weather was not cooperating.

    Nice. @4:54: You might've tried lowering your lever back to the ground, sliding it through the ratchet strap, and lifting from the other side.

    Be careful of using this method if you have water pipe, like irrigation system nearby. If the areas are only having post, there are much easier to be removed with this method or others.

    If you would extend the 2x4 about 2 feet beyond the fence post, it seems to me , that you would have much more leverage to remove it.

    Isn't the 4x4 base overkill? Wind does not seem to be any threat with the screen and it being attached to the house.

    • @watchitbendstudios3781
      @watchitbendstudios3781 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The wind isn't a problem today, but down the line, new additions to the catio could catch wind. I'm just trying to build it right. It's the foundation. And in the end it's screwed into the foundation sideways so the structure doesn't move, at least as much as possible.

    • @watchitbendstudios3781
      @watchitbendstudios3781 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Also the ceiling is solid so could catch wind easily.

    Thank you so much. Before I watch your video I had dug for an hour and still had not hit the bottom. After that I watched two videos yours and a guy who used a chain and a bottle neck jack. After watching your video I decided to go with yours because we had ratchet straps in my truck and tons of 2x 4s pn the property. I had my 13-year-old watch the video and then he got excited and got the ratchet straps. He had the t-post and cement out of the ground in about 15 or 20 minutes. I'll post it on my Facebook and TH-cam pages so that you can watch it. BIG THANKS!!!

    My sagging fountain base is tilted, I think I am going to use that 2x4 to make it level again, using leverage. I think I will need a 2x4x12 ti accomplish my project.

    Other ideas for the dirt part of your catio floor: herbs, low carpet thymes, any cat friendly ground cover that won't seed and invade your lovely lawn. Elfin thyme is very dense and soft and would cover well so that dirt wouldn't be tracked in to the house.

  • @siameseire

    SPOILER ALERT! I think it was too tall because the back of the Catio was taller than than the front, sloping for rain. Just like the soffits. So pulling it out made the soffits bend upwards when removing it. To get it back under, this was the right move.

  • @mert828

    Great start they just never taught you the second step. After the first lift you raise the height of the fulcrum and lift again. That is how a mechanical jack works. On the down stroke the fulcrum is being raised and then latches there.

    There are a lot of comments on here giving advice on how to improve the method. And I appreciate all of them. I was having tunnel vision. I needed the fence posts removed quick, and I just followed the video I watched. I didn't think about how to improve along the way. I mean the method worked the first time, the day before this, so I didn't mess with success. Never thought I'd be approaching 250,00 views almost 2 years later. Thanks to everyone.

    Use two pivots put one on both sides and rock it out, the initial block like you have then on lift side place a concrete block or larger block once you have clearance, then push down on the lever and add block to far side , repeat as needed, less strength and struggle needed.
