Great video with lots of good insights into calf health. Grew up on a dairy farm (no longer involved) but picked up a lot more tips in 10 minutes there than in many yers back in the day!

You got no small amount of HAY in racks for calves to get the guts working or calf cake. Small amounts. Sperad llike wild flower thats a new one. Wild 🔥. Better belt and Bracer Bag calves not later than 6 hours after being born .

Need to upload more videos. I have to agree on the new calf house design. We vaccinate all the calves for the first time this winter and never had as many issues with pneumonia. Even the calves in the single hutches outside are getting pneumonia. Regulating the shed temperature and air flow in a closed shed is the way forward.

Any opinion on the muck bedding out of the separators as a replacement to sand save wear on machinery?

Was the asphalt just poured over the existing concrete? Any issue with it getting tacky in real hot weather bringing in grass

s it economic to build the calf unit to DEFRA grant specification? Cost per calf place compared with your calf hutches must be considerable.
