Cracking the Paris job market: my tough journey to an offer
Hello from Greece! Really like your 48 hours videos. Also thank you for being genuine about the places you go.Its a real glimpse of everyday Paris.
Glad you like the format and thank you for your support :) I will do more of these, stay tuned!
Love your videos, kind regards from Bosnia and Herzegovina 💜
Thank you for the kind words <3
Nice to see human interaction is alive and well at Paris markets, something that'd go a long way to improve the wellbeing of residents :) Won't say no to a postcard from Paris <3 Cheers! xo
I agree, this brings a human side to an otherwise a very transactional market exchange… I’m ok to wait for an extra 30 seconds in the queue so that the overall atmosphere in the country is healthier as the result Noted re: postcard <3
13:07 lol in what world does this qualify as ballet 😂 Cool vid!
It’s not ballet - it’s contemporary ballet :) meaning there is way more freedom in all meanings of the word!
My dears, leave a comment to this video and at the end of August I’ll pick three best ones and send their authors a postcard from Paris ❤
Beautifully done video ❤
Thank you for the kind words :)
Enjoy your classes!
Oh I will for sure! Hopefully one day my abs will no longer be just a figment of my imagination… :)
Thank You for this lovely video❤❤❤
Thank you for the kind words :)!
Thank you for the video and the information. I would definitely like to see a salary negotiation video.
Thank you for the feedback! Stay tuned for that video :)
A lot of the generic hypster aesthetic … not impressed
What would you have liked to see in this video?
@@KatiaZavialova I mean it is interesting … but it is very pristine and design and fashionable … I’d like the more real Paris … maybe
Got it. To be honest this has been my real experience of Paris… but I will do some videos about what I don’t like about Paris, stay tuned!
Definitely would love to see more vlogs of your French life 🥰
I promise you won’t be disappointed :)
Dont go there alot of pickpocker
Not more than in any other big city I’ve lived in
considering this persom is not a native parisien this is not a bad vlog.
I will take this as… a compliment :)? What could have made this vlog better for you?
So delighted to come across your beautiful Vlog ! And your dog is so adorable 🐶 🥰
Thank you for the kind words, and welcome to my channel! Couldn’t agree more about Zephyr (my dog), but have to confess I’m biased :)
Seems you're also a fairly new TH-cam business owner like myself 😂 Nice video Katie💙🤝
Welcome to my channel and thanks for the kind words :) what kind of business is yours?
@@KatiaZavialova You're Welcome!🤝 Copywriting. I write sales pages and dabble in sales funnels. Basically trying to learn how to convert all that into interesting video content on TH-cam 😂
Honestly sick of influencers pushing entrepreneurship as a silver bullet to all of life’s troubles. Don’t two thirds of businesses fail?
I don’t mind the inspirational talk, as long as the flip side is also made clear and people can take informed decisions!
When I quit my corporate job and started my own business, I was amazed to learn that most staff were genuinely not interested in working hard. Naturally, such people already had their own businesses or corporate jobs.
Could it be because you were not paying corporate salaries 😅
@ylee3438 depends on your baseline of "corporate". Before my own company, I worked for McKinsey and of course the caliber and motivation of people I had access to was super high… and so were their wages :)
@@KatiaZavialova worked for Samsung Group Chairman's Office, the cream of the crop in Korean corporate world. The pay was way lower than Mckinsey's for sure but I remember working practically 7x24.
@@vanZaabakken anyone joining startups expecting big corporate level salaries are quite misguided. Equity stakes or stock options should be the primary incentives.
Ugh… I’ve heard stories about the Korean work ethics… thankful you survived! Hope your business will thrive!

You left out the "goûter" sweet snack around 4, and the "apèro" usually an alcoholic drink and maybe a small snack like some nuts, around 6ish! And it's not about proportions! My French friends eat everything scrap on their plates. And yet, the other day, my slim friend was wearing a fitted dress she had worn 25 years ago. I like your idea that it is the routine that matters. Giving the body time to assimilate the food and rest in between because there is no constant snacking. And of course, the quality of the ingredients. Regulations keep much pesticides and toxins from being used. Lovely vlog!
You are right, the goûter and apéro are true French institutions :) but I think they are not every day occasions, and on a typical day a French person won’t have them! Thereby keeping to 3 meals per day. And 100% on the ingredients - nowhere else have I got the staple ingredients of the same quality…
I love that you love Loewe! Beautiful vlog about Paris. I will visit again this August, so I will check out your suggestions :) ❤
Haha good eye, well spotted :)! Hope you will enjoy your trip to Paris! Please note that in France, everyone takes time off in August, so some of the places I recommended might be closed.
Superbe Vlog ! Merci d'avoir partagé nous ces adresses !
Avec grand plaisir :)
Your channel presentation is excellent, as is your engaging, informative & personal touch. You now have a new subscriber. Very best wishes, may your channel go from strength to strength 💐
Thank you so much for the kind words :) my warmest welcome to my channel!
This so interesting! Thank you for sharing. Where did you live before moving to Paris and were you a global strategist then? I am so delighted to have come across your vlog. Your vlogs are visually beautiful and your content is engaging.
Thank you so much for the kind words :)! You can find more detail about my background in this video: th-cam.com/video/467b4PhPyl0/w-d-xo.html In a nutshell, before this role I was an entrepreneur for 3 years, based in Paris, and a management consultant at McKinsey, based in Moscow, for another 3 years before that
How can you be this beautiful
Enjoyed! Please film some more adventures.
Thank you for your kind words ! Check out my new Paris vlog :)
Hi... I am new subscriber of your channel. Your channel videos are amazing 😍 Which will impress an audience. But due to some problem your TH-cam channel views and subscriptions are very low. If you solve the problems, I think your TH-cam channel will reach a good level. If you want i can help you.
Thanks for the kind words!
19:08 I have heard that now you can pay in Paris metro by iPhone! Is it true?
Yes! Now you don’t even need a plastic card, just an iPhone is enough. Such progress, wow
We are only about 2.5 hours from Paris, we get a lot of Parisian visitors here and there are a lot of holiday homes here owned by Parisians, we allow dogs on request once we have spoken to the owners.
That’s awesome! Thank you for welcoming pets :) I have noted your place for our next weekend trip!
Okay be honest - did you blow the 6-figure salary on the Lego collection in the background?
Haha good spot! That is my husband’s impact on the family budget
Why is this country so beautiful even in the middle of nowhere 😢
Many would say that the « middle of nowhere » in France is actually prettier that many of its big cities… do explore rural France if you ever get the chance!
@@KatiaZavialova I live in the middle of France, that is the attraction
1:30 thank god this is only 7/10, my broke self is now less upset that I can’t afford the Maldives 😂 JK awesome vid!
Haha :) I’m sure you will make it! Especially if you check out my other videos on how to build a great career ;)
This channel will surely grow a lot really good content
Thank you for the kind words! Hope you’re right :)
Thanks, some though-provoking advice there! On leaving the company before coming back. Is this not considered disloyalty from your current company? How do you know they will let you back in?
Thanks for the kind feedback! As long as you leave on good terms there is no harm in coming back once you’ve gained more expertise elsewhere!
Im from maldives
23 hours travel is like minus ten out ten for me, how did you survive that 😮
It was painful... but not the worst travel of my life! To cope: 1. Sleep: use melatonin, earplugs, face mask... (Pro tip: try sleeping in the timezone of the destination to minimize jetlag once you arrive) 2. Get some good books/films ready 3. Fly to a destination that makes this kind of travel worth it, and the Maldives is for sure one of them for me :)
Good explanation and its quite helpful. Thank you.
Glad you liked it :)!
Salaries please!! If strategy manager is a very rare role that you only get after McKinsey, hopefully it pays well?
I can't complain :) As for these roles companies hire from McKinsey, BCG, Bain etc., they know how much their ideal candidates are getting paid today and so they have to offer more to compel them to move! Look at websites like glassdoor dot com to get a clearer idea.
6:00 after the stresses of married life all other stress is nothing, that’s why cortisol doesn’t spike anymore lol
I hope you will find someone who won't make your cortisol spike :)
