2020 Harley-Davidson Street Bob | Fused Bars | Whiplash Speed Co Slipstream Seat | FXBB
I’m just showing my bike because I had numerous people asking about the new Harley-Davidson Fused Handlebars, the size, height and quality of the bars themselves. I also go over a few small mods like the Whiplash Speed Co. Slipstream seat, LED running lights and blinkers, and the motorcycle accident with scratches/scuffs and dings. I will upload another video when I get those parts replaced and show the mods I do to my Harley-Davidson Street Bob FXBB.
If you want to see that video down the road let me know and I will continue to make some videos. This is my 1st attempt of a video on TH-cam so just bare with me if it’s bad.
I hope you enjoy the video and get some info for the Harley-Davidson Fused Handlebars for the Street Bob FXBB.
Thanks for watching!

    Just be careful with the spoke covers everyone’s running them but don’t think about water getting in them and rusting the spokes out faster or making them look worse underneath

      I don’t ride the Harley in the rain and there’s not very much rain in Phoenix. I don’t even think I’ve even sprayed the bike down because I usually use ammonia free window cleaner and aerosol quick wax to clean the bike.

    I have a 2022 Street Bob and am thinking about getting a whiplash seat. Is there any space between the gas tank an front of the seat. I'm a little concerned with the seat contacting the tank.

    • @TaterGrabbinBass

      It’s an absolute perfect fit, it fits like OEM and the seat is made better than OEM Harley seats.

      @@TaterGrabbinBass dose the seat touch the gas tank? I'm concerned with paint damage and premature wear to the front of the seat. I am going to have to get another seat. You wack the gas on this little red beast, and you're pulling yourself back on the seat every gear.

    • @TaterGrabbinBass
      @TaterGrabbinBass ปีที่แล้ว

      @@charlesharper7292 it barely touches the tank and it causes no damage, if that’s your concern then you might as well just get a bobber seat and it won’t touch anything. If your concern is to get a better seat than the stock POS then it’s just 100000% better in every way, shape and form.

      @@TaterGrabbinBass yeah, I'll probably take a chance on the seat from Whiplash rather than the Saddlemen seat. Just that abrasion at those areas could damage a five hundred dollar seat, and the paint on a fourteen hundred dollar tank. But yeah the stock seat looks good, comfortable? So so. I've had worse but if you ride on the agresive side, your really tugging on the bars to stay planted. It's gotta go. I'm doing basic performance mods now and when those are done, it's new seat time. The stock seat looks great but the way I ride this bike, there will be an issue. The seat that came on my 94 Lowrider was great. Looked good and very comfortable. But they are obsolete and it's worn out. I'll have it reupholstered but my head's wrapped up in the new bike for now.

    Does your street Bob have ABS? Harley says these handlebars are only for ABS equipped bikes. Not sure why that’d be.

    • @TaterGrabbinBass
      @TaterGrabbinBass ปีที่แล้ว

      No, my bike does NOT have ABS. There’s no reason for a handlebar swap to affect ABS because it has nothing to do with the ABS. The length of the clutch and brake cable need to be longer but nothing to do with the ABS system. ABS on a bike like this is pretty useless in my opinion, it’s more useful for sport bikes and heavier bikes with more power.

I find apes are a must if you are 5'10'' and above, I'm 6'4'' and the Kuryakyn 3 inch forward control kit + their floorboard 1 inch forward and out clamps + extended Brake arm + extended Shifter = tall guy riding comfort such huge differences tweaking your rider triangle.

      Ya man, 2 maybe 3hr max. You personally could install your bars in 10hr or less, and usually Harley charges like $75-$100hr for installation and it gets pricey. But you could shop around and find a shop that will be honest and reasonably priced, and it’s best to find a good honest shop that you can start a good relationship with and be a loyal customer and if your buddies need work and send them to the shop it helps too and they start giving you some good benefits. Got the same on my 2019 Fat Boy. I'm 5 foot 9. It looks very good. Looks and makes me feel badass. However it does not feel extremely relaxed in the stretched hands up high position I must say, but I can hold on longer than with the stock handlebar. The latter feels more relaxed strangely but makes my elbows and hands ache much sooner. Strangely the wind does not have any increased effect with the much higher bars, at least for me. The Fused feels and, as you showed, are much taller than the 13 inch Harley says on their website.

    • @TaterGrabbinBass
      @TaterGrabbinBass 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      They’re the same width as the stock, they feel different because they’re significantly taller than stock and depending on where you like your bars will also make a difference on how they feel. I have pushed mine forward since that video because I did a tank lift so it gives it more of an old school bobber kind of look. I will be doing another video here soon going over what I’ve done to the bike, most are performance mods but I’ve done a few little cosmetic mods as well. The stock minis just feel and look cheap, they’re 1” compared to the 1.25” thickness of the fused, plus I have poly bushings so they feel a bit firmer compared to the cheap rubber bushings on the stock minis.

      @@TaterGrabbinBass thanks for the info! I had heard that they might be slightly narrower, so happy to hear at least same width. Look forward to seeing your next vid!

    Would you by any chance know the information regarding the wall thickness. Are they using 0.120 think walled ?

      I have no clue about that, they’re a H-D part so I’d assume whatever thickness they use for their bars goes for all the newer bars they sell.

      Thanks! It’s such a great seat and I’m super happy with it! It’s my favorite thing I’ve done to the bike because it made a huge difference in comfort and enjoying the ride more. I just put a Stage 2 in the bike and there’s just no way I would be able to stay on the stock seat. Thanks for the kind word and I’m glad you enjoyed the video? 🤘🏼😎🤘🏼

      Thanks Mr Sharp, its great advice for me too, I’m taking delivery of a new 2021 street bob next week. I love that classic look.

      @@beans4491 nice! That 114 is really nice and I wish I would have waited, but I’m happy with my bike and what I’ve done to it so far. It’s a great bike with the right mods and the seat should definitely be your first modification! Congratulations and enjoy your new ride when you take delivery!

    Did you look at the fat chiseled bars too when making your choice of bars? Great looking street bob.

      Ya, I did look at those bars. I like how they look at the top but the bottom of those bars didn’t fit the bike. The bottom bar is wider that the forks are and that bothered me a bit, that’s why I chose the Fused because they fit the lines of the bike so well.

      Awesome! They’re great bars, when I saw them on the H-D website they looked great but the H-D website had no real info on them and nobody at the dealership or in the parts area knew much about them so I went in kind of blind with my purchase and it ended up being a great choice. That’s why I put the video out, so other can get a better idea of what they’re getting since Harley didn’t take the time to put specs out on them. Thanks for watching!🤘🏼😎🤘🏼
