Have you seen Lex Fridman’s daily routine where he reads out his “mantra” inc ‘constraints and values’ to himself? I found that very interesting both in terms of what he had decided in terms of his focus and his daily practice. th-cam.com/video/0m3hGZvD-0s/w-d-xo.htmlsi=qKDdEVmU8P8Xdpqg
Absolutely right, as long as people remain flexible and remain open minded about doing other things. At 18 I’d never even heard of the job I have now and love, so if I’d focused on one thing early on I’d not have evolved through various things to get what I am. That’s just job, but same is true for other life goals 😊
If it's work, the schedule and deadlines kicks one in butt to get on with it. When it's personal project, it's possible to delay until it's "ready".... Thks for a discussion on doing it even when not perfect/ready yet....
New style feels real! Nice
Experimenting is fair enough! These things do take time. My only suggestion is try not to replicate the popular topics on eg productivity, that’s a very crowded space. If you are sharing a personal/different view on an existing topic that’s fair. Many great videos are about a persons journey in trying to get better at something rather than the end goal itself. Have you mind mapped it out all the different options and interests?
Nothing mind mapped, but I've got a lot of notes on potential topics. I And I completely agree about the person's journey thing, that's something I need to keep in mind. 👌🏼
@@Kieran_White fundamentally don’t be hard on yourself, so many creators including the best like Mr Beast and MKBHD started very (!) slowly and unsurely, don’t believe the spin that people know their purpose, goals or quick success. I think a lot of your current viewers will get this video and value the openness, making it a good video in their eyes. Keep trying new things you find interesting and enjoy, some coherence can come in time but it doesn’t need to be all about one thing :)
Be constant, don't give up, believe in it: it takes time and patience, it is a journey and a process. You will see that you will keep improving, and the only way is to keep posting videos. Avanti così! From Italy, with love.
What you shared is a thorough description of what goes in my head in a social setting. I also keep mostly quiet in a group of strangers because of fear of saying something wrong, but I also think mostly it's because people don't quite know how to include quiet contributors... Keep your videos coming. You have very good topics, and your sharing makes us feel we're not alone.
I find it refreshing that your content acknowledges the existence of multiple voices without the usual judgy "don't overthink" mantra. I like your thought process and style. You got a sub here👍 Glad to follow u on your journey!
Appreciate the support, glad you enjoy it! 😃
Thank you!
Fantastic video, I see you are trying hard to grow your channel, but there are some mistakes, if you fix them, your channel will grow faster.
Thanks for your advice! I will try that tommorow in a gruop meeting. Im 28 and from Denmark :)
Nice 👌🏼 let me know how you get on Oliver.
Your experience sounds the same as a lot of people who start with your build. While the author of the book tries to market it as a “mental toughness” program, at the end of the day, it’s a weight loss program. Someone who’s 30kg overweight who suddenly cuts out junk food and alcohol and works out twice a day is going to see way more dramatic results than you, which is where all the “success stories” come from.
Yeah, definitely agree Dylan.
I use a stack of index cards held together with a binder clip. Lives in my back pocket, changes shape to whatever I need it to be. Daily planner? Check. Scratch paper for random reminders? Check. Mind mapping ideas for a project? Check. And I can always edit the stack, archive notes I need for later or just discard them when I’m done with them.
Interesting perspective. Do you have a partner and children?
I don't, no. Which definitely makes challenges like this easier.
The ones that says go get more coffee and cake.
Nice video. Good on you for stiking at it. Interestingly, your definition of meditation is completely different from my practice. There are higher mystical techniques involving mantras that work more quickly and powerfully than simply observing your thoughts.
great video :) just understanding meditation has helped me
What is this stupid fucking music in the background, lol.
Support comment as a thank you for this valuable content! ❤
🙏 thank you.
I've been casually using breathing techniques as meditation for over two years, and physiological sigh is good stuff. Doing it for minute or up to five minutes, it can really calm one down from most things, and clear thoughts, especially if it's tied to meditation habit. So I would say, it's definitely not a waste of time! One can feel like Bene Gesserit from Dune books, controlling their body and mind.
Gosh i enjoyed this so much. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and ideas out into the world. You have another new subscriber from me. I am keen to watch and contiue to support your journey.
Thank you Kaylee 👌🏼 appreciate it

You have to remember that the majority of people doing 75 hard arent working out or reading or drinkkng water regularly. Or some, arent challenging themselves at all.
So perfect, everything especially the spelling bit started journaling yesterday, ripped out page,so i really appreciate this honest moment you gave us.

Hey there! 🌟 Your advice in this video is incredibly valuable! You clearly have a lot of experience, and it’s evident that you know what you’re talking about. I’m excited to put your tips into practice and see the results! 💪 I was wondering, could you dive a bit deeper into how incorporating these habits can specifically improve mental clarity and overall well-being? Thanks a ton for your response to my previous comment. I took your advice to heart, and it’s been extremely helpful. 🙌 You’ve literally changed my life, and I’d love to share my story with you-it’s something I think will make you happy! i want to sent you a DM with the same picture as my TH-cam profile. I’m interested in learning more about your services and considering working with you based on your great experience. Is there a good way to get in touch? Thanks again for everything-you’ve truly made a difference! 🙏
Hii, Sir I See your content. It's so helpful. I can help you in some way. Do you need a video editor ? I can help you to save your crucial time through my editing skills.
I'm not looking for an editor at he moment but thanks for the offer. 👍🏻
It’s been scientifically proven that when you hand write a note, it is remembered much better than digital typing, so it wasn’t just your imagination. Also, the notebook won’t lock up or die from a run down battery. Sorry it didn’t work out for you.
hello watching from Bangladesh💖
A hybrid solution is definitely best. I don't see how keeping a notebook on you is any harder than keeping a phone on you. It works for me. Physical notebooks are definitely not for storing collections of information. Notebooks are for recording ideas in the moment without being distracted by a notification while you're trying to completely capture your idea. But, you can always snap a pic and transfer it later. OCR allows you to search your notes later, if necessary. Wear the mispelled words like a badge of honor. A notebook with crossed out words is evidence of work. It indicates when your attention lapsed and that you were smart enough to catch yourself. It represents growth and skill all in one. The problem with digital notes is that it is too easy to not engage with them and carry them over because it is just a matter of shuffling them down to the next line of an infinite file or copying them into another file. Written notes force you to complete tasks, carry them forward (penance for not completing it), or risk losing it forever. It forces action instead of creating an infinitely long list you never really have to complete before it gets too long.
This video is really what I needed right now :). I've been feeling dull - completely zero feeling/emotions of happiness or sadness. Just existing. Anyways, my 75 Hard challenge is starting tomorrow.
That sounds tough man. Good luck with the challenge, it would be cool to hear any updates/how your finding once you get going. Cheers for the comment :) 👍
The transitions and trying out different angles was really interesting, clearly trying out new things 😊 Try to keep the hanging pull cord out of shot and maybe explore ways to suppress the sound of the blinds going up through editing software when able. Even if you don’t do those particular shots again the same editing skills apply. Definitely try to minimise alcohol going forward - when you look into it you realise how bad any alcohol is for your sleep, concentration, memory, muscle building goals (full of empty calories), often high in sugar, etc.
Cheers for the tips 👍, and the alcohol part was supposed to be a joke, I suppose I could have made it more obvious that I'm not a drinker 😅
@@Kieran_White I had got the joke, but not that you are a non drinker. Tbf the comment was not specifically aimed at you but a general thought with all viewers. It’s simply mad how many people think they can be productive and build a better body whilst also binge drinking several times a week.
First time here, great video!
Thanks for watching! Appreciate it 👌
I loved these nuggets! Great video 👍
Appreciate it, thanks 👌
Screen free (beyond phone to include iPads, TV, gaming, etc) mornings is a truly excellent strategy. Don’t try to do ‘just ten mins’ as that rapidly turns into 2 hours or more of wasted time scrolling. Prioritise a walk and a deep work session. 👍
Love Naval! The first time I heard him was on Tim Ferriss' podcast in 2015. Highly recommended!
I could not for the life of me understand what you said for insight 1
When you combine things your not supposed to, people get interested.
Congrats for your top notch editing skills! On the other hand though, what if Naval didn't have any money? How would he be 'enjoying things' just for the pleasure of it? It's curious to see that only people with money say that money doesn't matter.
Good point, it would definitely be more difficult to enjoy things just for the pleasure of it with no money. I would say it's still doable, but on a smaller scale. Appreciate the comment 👌
Camera and mic gear name?
DJI osmo pocket 3 and a DJI mic 👍
Not sure about Joe Rogan, like Chris Williamson and Diary of a CEO these all court controversy and rarely talk realistic actions for average people to take here and now. For useful sorts of discussions with clear action points (rather than just vague concepts) I’d suggest Huberman Lab, Lex Fridman, and my favourite Cortex (with major youtuber CGP Grey).
For anyone interested I’ll link a Cortex podcast, available on normal podcasting apps but also on TH-cam with a slight delay in posting, is the lockdown edition where they went over productivity tools and strategies. I still recommend going back to episode 1 though… th-cam.com/video/1eSCldom1Yc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=_20THXcByThJFPRt
I'm honestly rarely listening to Rogan, was a fan of this episode though. Love Huberman and Lex Fridman's stuff, not heard of Cortex though, will give a listen 👍 cheers for the recommendation
hey kieran been watching ur videos from few days content is amzing u need to improve the color grading and add bit transitions and minmalist bacground music its bit appealing just an observation it can get more engaged audience Lemme know if you need an video editor.
Your hand writing is lovely!😅😁😁😂
Well currently you have 100 so 👍
Just to tackle the title… definitely invest in yourself, but AI is not irrelevant. Already it’s being used to prioritise job and university applications, accuse people of plagiarism, assist specialists in technical skills like advanced coding. Can I argue that investing in yourself includes being familiar with AI tools as they become more and more pervasive?
I meant it in the sense that people who aren't learning new skills (because Ai might make that skill obsolete) should think of Ai as irrelevant (and just learn the thing anyway). But completely agree, AI definitely isn't irrelevant and should be a part of investing in yourself. 👍🏻
As long as the person also remains humble and modest. So many people go from legitimate confidence to arrogant overconfidence. 👍😊
there is a really interesting quote from Wei Wu Wei, that says: « Why are you unhappy? Because 99.9 percent of everything you think, and of everything you do, is for yourself - and there isn’t one». I read it for the first time in ""Eastern philosophy says there is no “self.” Science agrees”"
Great video, keep it up!
th-cam.com/video/QDYfEBY9NM4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=cWbUVccsl_EXbDQd 😊
Whether I do a lot or a little or none, I achieve the same amount.
