    U pointed some necessary truths, covid really changed our lives; i think it is now more shaped around technology and consumption. It can be really unhealthy if not used wisely. I sometimes do feel like I'm overdoing, compared to my peers. I'm trying to improve and some of them just let it go. I guess everyone is just living their lives in their own ways, as they should. And from my pov, this is the reason why some of us tries hard to improve and some of us don't. It's because we are experiencing different things at different times. If you are coming from a disadvantaged place (education, mind-set, financial opportunities that you had or you did not have) you just need to work hard to get the things that people get for granted. I'm not saying I had a hard life bla bla bla. However, I do think I need to work harder to make my chances of succes equal to some of my peers. If you want to be exceptional, your work and eager must be exceptional. As you said, I too am trying to let myself relax and sit back sometimes, we all need it.

    My biggest enemy is my handwriting. Whereas some countries have an uniform and readable handwriting, my handwriting is that of a medical doctor, completely unreadable after just a few days even for myself. I like the way you would enter text into a device called PALM with an input method with the name Graffiti. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graffiti_%28Palm_OS%29 It was easy to learn and gave you searchable text.

      @Kieran_White หลายเดือนก่อน

      I hear you-it’s tough not having a clear purpose, especially when it feels like everyone else does. I wouldn’t say I have a main purpose either. I’d say having a purpose matters, but it doesn’t have to be one big, life-defining thing. It can change, evolve, or be something small that only lasts for a month. Sometimes, purpose shows up in everyday moments or in something new we’re drawn to, even if just briefly. Maybe it’s worth exploring those little things without pressure. And if you ever want to talk more about it, I’m here. 👍

    Absolutely agree with this. A small number of goals, which are truly ‘SMART’, is the most achievable thing and most likely to give satisfaction. You only have so many hours to dedicate to a goal. Where it gets complex is when a goal is going to be long term - that’s a lot of delayed gratification. Break it down to have mini goals along the way which helps maintain the feeling of success and visible results. And move on to new goals once the existing ones are achieved. 👍 I see you linked to CGP Grey’s yearly theme cortex podcast episode - I’d also recommend his excellent yearly themes TH-cam video th-cam.com/video/NVGuFdX5guE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=UIf02QO3vLGY1kAS

    Absolutely right, as long as people remain flexible and remain open minded about doing other things. At 18 I’d never even heard of the job I have now and love, so if I’d focused on one thing early on I’d not have evolved through various things to get what I am. That’s just job, but same is true for other life goals 😊

    Experimenting is fair enough! These things do take time. My only suggestion is try not to replicate the popular topics on eg productivity, that’s a very crowded space. If you are sharing a personal/different view on an existing topic that’s fair. Many great videos are about a persons journey in trying to get better at something rather than the end goal itself. Have you mind mapped it out all the different options and interests?

    • @Kieran_White

      @@Kieran_White fundamentally don’t be hard on yourself, so many creators including the best like Mr Beast and MKBHD started very (!) slowly and unsurely, don’t believe the spin that people know their purpose, goals or quick success. I think a lot of your current viewers will get this video and value the openness, making it a good video in their eyes. Keep trying new things you find interesting and enjoy, some coherence can come in time but it doesn’t need to be all about one thing :)

    Your experience sounds the same as a lot of people who start with your build. While the author of the book tries to market it as a “mental toughness” program, at the end of the day, it’s a weight loss program. Someone who’s 30kg overweight who suddenly cuts out junk food and alcohol and works out twice a day is going to see way more dramatic results than you, which is where all the “success stories” come from.

      Nah, you just have to adjust it to what you need. I've put on 20lbs in a month on program. It's all about your calories in and intensity of workouts.

      @@VlogCity There’s no point in someone who doesn’t need to lose 20 pounds to lose that amount of weight. Which is why a lot of people who are naturally skinny don’t see a ton of results.

      @@Dylandesuu Read what I wrote again. I gained 20lbs, not lost it. This program is what you make out of it.

    I use a stack of index cards held together with a binder clip. Lives in my back pocket, changes shape to whatever I need it to be. Daily planner? Check. Scratch paper for random reminders? Check. Mind mapping ideas for a project? Check. And I can always edit the stack, archive notes I need for later or just discard them when I’m done with them.
