The Weeknd's MOST IMPORTANT Song | A Deep Dive
"Faith" is arguably the most important song in After Hours and possibly in The Weeknd’s entire body of work because it represents a moment of complete emotional, spiritual, and personal collapse. It sets the foundation for the themes of redemption, spirituality, and personal growth that follow in Dawn FM and will likely continue in his upcoming album. This track encapsulates the tension between self-destruction and salvation, a tension that is at the heart of The Weeknd’s ongoing narrative. Whether he will find redemption or continue to wrestle with his demons is something that future projects will reveal, but without "Faith," the stakes for his salvation wouldn’t be as high. The song stands as the turning point, making it crucial for understanding where The Weeknd's artistic journey might go next.Thank you for watching ,please like ,comment and subscribe.

yo bro if u can please make a deep dive to more kendrick lamar songs i love it thank you so much.
of course, what songs would you like to see?
The fact in Dancing in the Flames, not only "so just have faith" is mentioned despite ’faith’ being a song about how he has lost all faith, but also it shows him crashing a car and ending up in an ambulance leads me to believe this is some sort of continuation from where After Hours left off. (After Hours driving around wrecklessly ending in sirens, DitF finally crashing and being taken to be SAVED in an ambulance with those SAME sirens.) Furthermore in Faith he says ”I want you to OD right beside me…” and subsequently in DITF ”I, can’t, wait to see your face, crash…” which implies they both finally crash from their OD in this song.
Great break down
The problem with separating the art from the artist is that with music, the art is the artist. With a painting or taking photographs or pottery or literature, the artist isn't standing there telling you about it. You can go look at Hitler's art and never know it was his, right? When you listen to a Michael Jackson, R. Kelly, Drake, Diddy etc. song, you are hearing them read their poetry to you. No one likes J.K. Rowling any more. But everyone is still cool with Harry Potter. But I guarantee you no one would buy an audio book of Harry Potter narrated by Rowling, herself.
Is "in the dark" a sample?
Sounds like Paul Simon.
The Weeknd stated in an interview with either variety or Hollywood Reporter that the outro is about him being arrested in Vegas. So....not an ambulance. But good job b you overall.
Better days
Bro this was incredible!
the last album is heavily inspired from cinema paradiso you need to check it out Let me tell you why in dawn there's an older version of him & a 30s version of him in final album there's a younger version of him who's very young around 6 or 7 or maybe less there's a teaser where he's just sitting and there's a complete transition of all his discography reflecting whatever he's done his life cinema paradiso has something similar i won't spoil you need to experience yourself
please do a breakdown of JAVARI by Cole..it’s one his best storytelling tracks, I haven’t seen anyone cover it
you gotta do pretty sweet franks strangest song
Faith is super underrated. It’s a very dark song that tells a story of Abel’s lowest point (or one of his lowest points) of his life. And then the outro of Faith is god-like. Like ascending to heaven as you’re dying. It’s an amazing song.
the weeknd overdoses in faith, the next tracks r upbeat and almost dream like, in after hours the first line is literally thought i almost died in my dream again bc he overdosed and wakes up in after hours and died in until i bleed out
What is the background music at 2:32? Sounds so much like No man's sky soundtrack but also like one of the weeknd, songs
You said everything right in this video. I slightly noticed some of these tactics that Kendrick used while releasing his diss tracks and honestly goes to show that Drake never stood a chance. Kendrick is so strategic with his music and that is literally what makes him not only one of the greatest rappers ever, but an all time artist. Great video essay, keep it up brother.🔥🙏🏽
Even though I don’t have the same lived experience as him, being a heterosexual woman, I relate to this song so much. I used to sing this a lot when I was thinking about leaving my husband at the time and living life as a single mom. I was in a dissatisfying marriage and hated my job and just wanted to really be free to do what I wanted.
WOW, I hope you are free to live a great and satisfying life now ,thanks for watching and sharing.
This song was so beautiful to see live, Faith is a recurring theme in starboy aswell, the cross being more as a symbol, yes religious, but more so as a symbol of resistance to temptation, to evil, in hollywood, hence him breaking the awards and the posters with the cross, burning down the mansion.
How about the idea of when I first seen the cover art for "Hurry Up Tomorrow" all I could think about was SNOWCHILD When I was 16 if I didn't make I probably make my wrists bleed 😳 Doesn't he look like an AI version of 16 in the cover art?!?
Do Ordinary life
you should break down the vultures trilogy.

@@4j_2905 thank you so much for watching bro, appreciate u
faith After Hours starts playing
lol yeah copyright on faith is actually very strict and harsh ,lol that's why the actual song is not in the video so much ,thanks for watching tho
Michael is innocent and Kendrick knows it, I think he think he was trying to further prove his point on how the world views an artist or figure when the media try to tear them down, like with MLK, of course cheating is wrong and it was true, it only came out because the FBI viewed him as a threat and tapped his house, car etc to try to expose him as a communist or something but found out he was having multiple affairs and they tried to use that to expose him as a fraud. Obviously that didn’t work so they killed him, same with Mike.
The fact that they are ambulance sirens and not police sirens makes perfect sense. it can be said that The Weeknd at the end of Faith could have had a traffic accident or overdose. while the effect of the drugs takes effect the songs have this 80's vibe with a hopeful touch. But once the effect wears off (in the song After hours) is when The Weeknd feels more alone than ever, as he explains in Faith (When I'm coming down is the most I feel alone). and then he ends up “dying” in the song Until i bleed out.
Bro, you nailed it! 💯 The whole ambulance sirens theory ties in perfectly with that downward spiral. That 80's vibe during the high, then the crash in "After Hours" is such a powerful shift. And yeah, "Until I Bleed Out" really feels like the final chapter. The Weeknd's storytelling through sound is insane! 👏thanks for watching!
I see it slightly different but kinda the same. I think in faith he ods and is in a coma from blinding lights til after hours when he wakes up and then he bleeds out and dies in until I bleed out
Loved your breakdown bro!🫡 I am a small creator but also plan on doing a bunch of Weeknd video essays in the future!😂 but anyways dawg I would love to see you cover more of his work in the future. I agree with everything you said in the video especially the ambulance aspect. In my opinion the song After Hours is his most important song; but I love your perspective dawg! 🙌🙌
Appreciate the love, bro! 🫡 That’s dope you’re planning Weeknd essays too-can't wait to see them!😂 And yeah, After Hours is a masterpiece for sure, but I'll definitely dive into more of his work soon. Thanks for watching! 🙌
@@IconicVibes. of course dawg! Look forward to seeing what you cover in the future🫡 please show Kissland some love it is beyond underrated I get it if ya don’t cover it for awhile. But it deserves way more appreciation in my opinion!thanks for posting your vids and thanks for the love and support for my channel!🙌🙌
@@JustUs-w1b Appreciate you, bro! 🙌 You’re right, Kissland is criminally underrated, it definitely deserves more shine! I'll show it some love soon. Thanks for the support, and I’m hyped to see your content too! 🫡 Keep grindin’!
@@IconicVibes. I will dawg!🫡 I’m mad looking forward to seeing your Kissland content, and any other Weeknd content ya post in the future. I’ll also check out your other work too you put a lot of quality effort into your video essays I can tell! I appreciate the love and support from you bro!🙌🙌
Great analysis 👀
thank you so much ,appreciate you
Faith is my number 1 The Weeknd song. The amazing beat and modern 80s melodies, the story and his insanely awesome vocals. This track is so underrated.

I feel like weeknd is gonna have a swerve moment. The IG post makes it seem like this is more like Travis Scott's Utopia like heaven is where you make it. I also feel like Abel goes to heaven via the rebirth process and gets cast back to Earth probably starting everything over for the character
“Take me back to LA”
my fav song of all time
amazing video Faith is most definitely one of the most important the weeknd songs. I love the sound selection in this video too the beat at 3:18 is so good
thanks for watching , appreciate you

aye man please talk about futura free one of my most listened tracks from blond
Dancing In The Flames even states in the bridge “so just have Faith”
@@bryanyeojs wait fr? I didn't catch that 😭
@@IconicVibes.The video also ends with him being dead in front of an ambulance
I also think in the video he is shown falling but not from a car crash but from heaven. "And I beheld Satan fall like lightning from heaven"
@@IamRohanAswani yeah I remember seeing that, I don't know why I didn't make the connection
@@IconicVibes. Ohh...well timeless is also connected because he was unconscious/ dead after DANCING IN THE FLAMES MUSIC VIDEO. He ends up in purgatory where his life flashes in front of his eyes. He tries to escape which is shown in the 5 second clip where HOW DO I MAKE YOU LOVE ME MUSIC VIDEO PLAYS IN THE BACKGROUND. The very next clip shows that he's standing between hell and paradise and a light is behind him. He's in his camo jacket ( call back to the trilogy). So, he's basically struggling to escape purgatory after living a reckless life (shown in DANCING IN THE FLAMES MUSIC VIDEO). THESE SONGS WERE RECAPS. Now the next thing will be NEW EPISODES/ SAGA in THIS TRILOGY.
*^^*
forever my favourite song🤍
Dave’s brother was the one who died tho I thought and not the other way around
Dreaming a thought that could dream about a thought That could think of the dreamer that thought That could think of dreaming and getting a glimmer of God I be dreaming a dream in a thought That could dream about a thought That could think of dreaming a dream Where I cannot, where I cannot this hits
Bro this is the worst take on seigfried.
