I’ve got a normal sponge filter, with an air stone.. I just cut away the plastic..works just the same..Aquarium Co -op don’t ship outside of the USA..I tried ordering one.

You show the grey lever in the up position and then instruct us to start the siphon with the nearby handle. You then show the water flowing in your filter. Please make a note that the grey lever must be in the down position or the siphon will never start.

Just bought one last night and every video from the big youtubers all fail to mention the rubber band aka O ring you clearly do. I was actually thinking about it last night and was trying to do more research till i came across your video. I saved it because i knew it couldnt be a regular rubber band. Gonna put it on tonight when i get home from work. still works, but yea this is really needed imo. There was also 2 smalller ones im sure will be needed somewhere maybe? Crazy the manual doesnt even mention this too smh. I even thought maybe it was already pre installed, but didnt really see one. Ill check when i get home and look careful, and then put that one on if i dont see one. Thanks man Oh, by the way.....what are the 2 little holder lookin gthings on top of the lid for? I coouldnt find what could go there either. *****Update***** So after checking it, the others are right. There’s an o ring pre installed that looks complete different Thant the one u say is the gasket. But hey, I thought it could be a gasket so I can see why h thought that. I agree not a good idea to put both. Wont seal as good. Glad I checked for myself.

What really makes more sense is a heavy duty dust pan w/ a rubber strip ...The only way to remove substrate + using a clean spray bottle so you can squirt the sides & corners free of sand / gravel. Works great and none of the horrible scratching sounds💙💚

ordered my Fx6 on DollarHog. It had no rubber ring seal around the lid. Spilled about 8 gallons of water all over my wood floor and wood aquarium stand

You REALLY need a rubber or foam mat of some sort under a rimless tank. Even if you think that surface is 100% flat, sooner or later you're going to come home to 32.5 gallons of water in your floor. Fluval gives you that mat for a reason!

After 2 years decided to remove all the baffles and filter partition and run a fluval u2 and no more issues shame as the concept is sound

Nice video! Just a little "back-saver" advice .....I usually put the fx6 under the tank when it's empty, and then I just open the 2 valves to fill it up from the tank. That way it's not heavy. 🙂
