    Thank you for that review. I do have a question though. I noticed during the video that the blade of the Olfa 45mm trimmer seemed to project out further than the fiskars 45mm. I wondered then whether the Olfa 45mm might cut as thicker fabrics as the Fiskars 60mm. Could you please give me yours thoughts on that?

    Hello! Thank you for this video and your instructions. I used it to create my first set of napkins, and am currently making more! I am running into sizing issues, though. I have been using a chart on your website to get the correct yardage, but I am finding it does not make the number of napkins listed (for example, I am only getting four napkins from 1.5 yards instead of six napkins). I am using a 18" square template. Regardless of the yardage, I end up two napkins short. I am pre-washing the fabric and tumble drying on low--is it shrinking? Would you be able to provide guidance? Thank you!

    I love it! Wanted to make gifts for son’s doctors and staff at about 5 offices. This will be sweet. I’ll make enough and give as a single gift w/ cookies. They can choose their own coaster and enjoy a cookie. If I make a separate batch for the residents, everyone will be happy. (They love cookies! Especially the neurosurgeon group who rarely sleep 😉)

    I am confused about the zipper tabs. I see you make and attach them to the backing fabric but in the very next step of attaching the backing fabric to the front panel the tabs are nowhere to be seen. Or have I missed something in between?

    I’m going to make these while waiting for my next class. I’m just curious how “stitch in the ditch” catches the binding on the front of the placemat. I usually sew on the binding itself.

    • @modernmoonquiltstudio
      @modernmoonquiltstudio 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great question! I sew the binding to the front first and then fold the binding over far enough so that when I stitch in the ditch (from the front) it catches the binding in the back.
