Maybe you could reverse the sequence by starting with Nara first and ending with the Fushimi Inari Shrine. First half of the year, sunset time is later as well, so it would be better. 😇

@@Anabias_Mamma There was no health declaration form so I only filled up the immigration form. I had already been to China before this trip and did the fingerprint collection in my previous trip, so no need to do it in this trip as well.

It was Terminal 1 when I travelled last year May as well. So maybe changed for some time already? 🤷‍♂️ Overnight flight is B787 but the morning flight would still be A330

@@mylivingbubble Terminals aren't always consistent, mostly depends on specifics of the flight, what's available when they arrive, ATC arrangements, etc. Although, for the most part, they could be pretty predictable. (Source: studying airline pilot stuff right now)

Cost wise was cheaper considering the luggage and departure timing was not middle of night departure like Scoot. Arrival timing almost same as scoot. Custom clearance done in Beijing Airport, so can just take luggage and go at Shenyang Airport. 2) My trip was Shenyang -> Yanji -> Harbin using high speed train. But there are many trains between Shenyang and Harbin so high speed train is the best way to go. 3) I just wanted to escape the heat of Singapore so I felt that May was comfortable enough to do city walk since weather was cool but not cold. But if you want to see snow scenery, of course you need to go during winter.

How many nites would you allocate to Shenyang (at the back of my mind, 4 nites)? From your video I would like Shanghaiguan as a side trip and one of the Korean towns. And for Harbin, 4 to 5 nites?

@ only Dandong can be done as day trip from Shenyang. But Yanji and Tumen are more interesting as they are in the Yanbian Autonomous Region. I think 4 nights in Shenyang would be fair enough. Harbin tourist area not very large. Maybe at most 4 nights enough already.

@@mattball9449 then your process would be similar as me. You would need to clear immigration. Actually Terminal 3C is for domestic flights and 3E is for international flights. So they are in two different buildings. Still need to use the monorail between the terminals

Yes it does. The signs were in English and Mandarin.

Based on what I know, baxiandong wharf is for river crossing and not able to see the Buddha. To see giant Buddha, there are 2 wharves: wuyou temple and jiazhoudu. When I went, water level was low, so only wuyou temple wharf was operational.

I don’t think it is that simple though. If they get caught, they would be sent back to North Korea. Hard to escape using that route. 😅

You may use metro line 19 that connects the two airports.

I prefer Nikko, as it has more nature and culture to offer. But Nikko probably need at least 1.5 days to visit all the waterfalls, lakes, temples and shrines. Karuizawa would be good for a day trip.

@@winthawko2804 I didn’t reclaim my baggage in Beijing since I took another flight to Shenyang. I only transit through Beijing Airport.

@@mylivingbubble I am also gonna ride AirChina soon with Beijing transit to Chongqing . But, they said I have to reclaim at Beijing airport coz there is no check-through.

@@winthawko2804 oh if your ticket doesn’t include check through, I think you need at least 3-4 hours transit time. The immigration already took about 1.5 hours.

@@xploit811 I didn’t experience any. But I took it in May. These months, flights were affected by typhoon, monsoon etc. Weather conditions may be unpredictable as well.

@@xploit811 i am not sure, as I am unfamiliar with routes between China and Middle East. So far I didn’t hear any bad news about flights between Doha and Beijing, so I guess it should be ok ?
